- The Executive Director of the Indigenous Environmental Network invokes indigenous peoples asking the world to reevaluate our relationship to Mother Earth. We can turn away from destroying, privatizing and commodifying nature, and instead to “indigenuity” to fashion sustainable solutions by re-sacralizing our relationship with Mother Earth.

Yes, an industrialized society adversely affects the land and harms the environment. To support this overpopulated society we created a problem of having to mass produce goods and distribute them and there seems to be no turning back. We are spiraling down to our own destruction. We have proven that our best ideas and technology are highly flawed because it does not support or give back anything to the land that we are depending on for our survival. This good man defines the problem well, but the new question of the day is what do we do about it ?

That audience is way too cheerful. I cried watching this. 💔It is extremely painfull that we reached this low in humanity. Wiped out tribes, kill animals with plastic and pollution, melted glaciers, burnt forests, skinned animals for clothes, kill them for fun, polluted our planet... Call our water resource instead of gift. Complain of dirty air yet contribute daily to polluting it. One year of pandemic, heat domes, hurricanes, floods, wildfires didn't make people stop, nor think what we are doing. Nothing will change... Hopefully the nature will conquer the greedy humankind. We need at this point wiping out... Tribes and indegenous people all over the world have the same values and respect for nature. But our ancestors wiped out almost all of them. Their voices are way too faint for the hypocrites to listen or change their dirty lifestyle. We burnt our house! We reached the unturning point. EU said we'll be emission free. That means we won't produce our meat any more, but we'll help burn and cut the Amazon forest so we can ship meat from there.... Does this sound logical or normal to you?! It doesn't! Nothing to be cheerful about when listening to people fighting to save the Earth! Panic! Cry! Change your ways! Contribute to change! 🌳🐬🐳🐋🌏🦉🐝🐢🦋
