Amp Academy inherits NUX TSAC-2K (White-box Amp Modeling) algorithm which delivers the sound and feel of world-class tube amplifiers in a super-portable stomp-box enclosure. And, its huge headroom and dynamic range is a pedal friendly platform.
On Stage:
Add Amp Academy to any pedal chain and connect to a mixer or PA system for excellent tone, control, and flexibility during live performance.
Monitor through the in-house monitoring system or in-ear monitors.
For a dedicated personal on-stage monitor, connect your pedalboard to a powered FRFR speaker.
In Studio:
Connect Amp Academy directly to a recording interface for excellent guitar tone, instantly, without the need to set up an amp or microphones. (Toggle IR OUT switches to UP position if you want to use the IR signal for 1/4” out. If you want to engage/disengage IR signal with DI OUT, please HOLD A/B foot switch and power the pedal. IR ON: A/B indicators will flash 3 times. IR OFF: A/B indicators flash will NOT flash.)
(NOTE: If you want to engage/disengage IR signal with DI OUT, please HOLD A/B foot switch and power the pedal. IR ON: A/B indicators will flash 3 times. IR OFF: A/B indicators will NOT flash.)

We're in a golden age of guitar gear... this thing is amazing.
It’s killer! I’m always pleasantly surprised when I plug into a NUX
Anyway, here's Wonderwall.
Was looking for this comment 😂
This company is going places. Great demo (as always!!)
@@LeviBulgerIt's obvious you don't understand the algorithm at all. Do you think the algorithm can be hacked like the movies? ^0^ DO NOT THINK TOO MUCH!!
@@LeviBulger I‘m doing well, especially to let you know your "ignorance". ^_____^
@@LeviBulger apparently someone is specialized in giving comments without studying the subject 😅 Two points: 1. If algorithms can be copied like 0 and 1, why there aren't more companies making similar products?! 2. Labor and components (especially audio IC) ain't cheap in China anymore, not like in some other southeastern Asia countries.
NUX continues to impress
What a time to be alive! This box is amazing.
Another pro level budget pedal by Nux.
Very well done Demo Mike! I bought the Robert Keeley Caverns because of your Demo playing " Live to tell " Nice! I am a Fan of NU*X pedals. I have the Loop core and the Recto Distortion...... all really great effects to have fun with and do some Beautiful sounds
Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Caverns is awesome!
That really sounds great Good on NUX I fave a multi delay unit of theirs🙂
What an exquisite video!
Takes some tweaking to get good sounds. Better IRs. Especially the heavier tones. A work in progress!
Just got this on an Offer Up deal… it WILL be going at the end of my NUX Cerberus!🤘🏾 came 4 the jams, stayed 4 the jams! When is that Mike covers solo album coming out man?🤔
Nice demo, I'm also an owner of this great little amp since yesterday :) The only thing I can criticize for now is, that the scenes only save the enabled/disabled state of each block. I really hope the enhance the function in the next firmware, so that the block parameters like gain / reverb level etc. are also saved with each scene independently. Btw. what's your guitar? Especially the pickups? They sound quite "hot" and noiseless. Nice tone! :)
I am curious to see how it works on a pedalboard with different kind of delay/reverb pedals in live situation.
It's nice that so many players can not hear the difference between actual and a sampled reproduction. It just is. I am referring to in-person live listening.
Great playing of course! But damn this sounds -as good- as some of the Big Names for sure. Lots of really useful tweaks right in front of you too in the software. Damn. Might be a "maybe I don't need an HX Stomp after all" box.
Well the amount of sounds in this pedal are only roughly a fifth of the current Helix's firmware offering. Fwiw I'd say this is a good lil bro of the Stomp! If anything this attempts to give the Iridium a run for its money!
Many demos are too digital.. but this is so good .. stock iRs ?
Which is the difference with this and Solid Studio? Which is better to play live without amp/cab or combo?
Could this replace my preamp/amp sim pedals and IR/Cab+Speaker+Mic sim units? I have a few Mooer micro preamp and Tech 21 amp sim pedals, a Hotone Binary AMP (does pre and power amp, also inbuilt IRs that i don't particularly like), and a Digitech Cabdryvr, Flamma FS-7, NUX Solid Studio, and my fave the GFI Cabzeus Stereo.
This Amp Academy seems like a better take on what Hotone were going for with the Binary AMP.
I tried a Humboldt Simplifier and sold it. Too "DI" sounding for my taste.
Great demo and fantastic composition as always. But it’s hard to tell what the Amp Academy would sound like without the DuoTime in the loop.
Start watching around 2:15? There's no DuoTime or effects on a lot of those tones.
@@jnh73 Thanks. Imho it would have been better to have a demo video without anything in the loop or perhaps a separate chapter demoing the S/R. Mainly because (again in my opinion) the DuoTone doesn’t sound good and it’s distracting…
@@fincito Sure thing. Still, any time the S/R block is not orange, it's off (and any effects in the loop are off), and Mike turns it on and off pretty regularly from 2:15 on, especially for the heavier/dirtier tones.
I did use the DuoTime a bit! Check out the section after the song- I hardly have the loop engaged…
This sounds incredible and very versatile! Can't find any cons of this product at the moment. I'm on board getting this and trying it out...looks like the next big thing!
Can this thing do bass amps? (SVT, Fliptop, etc.)
Or is it just for "regular" guitar?
can you turn off amp block off, so you can use as an IR pedal?
Is it possible recording or use it as a plugin without a audio interface?
Orderd one
Would I need a cab simulator to use this through a pa system? Thanks!
Did they say when US can get them? or where even.
Can you use the computer program as a vst insert?
No stereo fx loop or stereo input? 😬
Can you use this with a guitar cab?
Mike have you ver played a Fractal FM3???
subbed gawdangit
That version is muuuuuch better than the original (and I don't like Oasis).
"anyway here's Wonderwall"
Does it have a headphone out?
yes
Biblical
sounds good, but there is no doubt on big stage ,real amps as platform always be the first choice for clarity and tone generator
Lol wut?
I have watched a # of good reviews of this pedal. I like the smart features that it has, but I am not sold on the distortion sound. Just don't like it. I find the Positive Grid Spark 40 effects far superior in sound and you actually get a great and very versitile amp to boot. Compare for youself and see and hear for only $70 more. Will it fit in your guitar case ? no.
oasis
I need a simpler Amp Academy. Don't need all these features.
Sounds like a wonderwall rip off
You must be new here :)
@@bneum yeah
It's an original song. It's called Ponder Wall
smash mouth - all star
Honestly the pedal sounds like shit, mike is just so good he make anything sound solid in the mix.
Did you buy one or are you just talking out of your ass?
😂😂😂😂
