Janette Chayna very well written, filmed and acted as well. They were all communicating SUCH tension and emotion with the slightest facial gestures. Plus the song and the way Loren delivered it is amazing.
Emily Mallory between everyone in the room just look at their facial expressions how some of them are jealous of Jenny singing and how Zac and Zendaya are holding hands and his parents look at them in disgust and Hugh's wife in the movie is jealous because he is looking at Jenny in admiration. 2:23-2:32 Being in a interracial relationship I felt that so hard when he moved his hand and she still gracefully walked away - a pressure no one should ever feel or let get to them. My boyfriend held my hand so tight in the theater when Zac let go. Zac & Zendaya had chemistry beyond their years in this film!
Ashlie Perez I know this is an 8 month late response but, I was shook with their chemistry. My 22 year old self was constantly like “look at Troy Bolton (High School Musical) & Rocky Blue (Shake It Up) Playing the hell out of this role!”😂 Seriously they transitioned beautifully out of their Disney years. Idk what stars like Miley Cyrus or Raven-Symoné was doing. It does not take all of that to let the world know, I’m not a kid anymore but, to each their own I guess.
Sara, it's not. Real singer is named Loren Allred. Look at Soundtrack listing. Manoa is right. She acted that out very well. I believed it was her until I saw the Soundtrack listing.
She sang this song in this scene (like really singing), but the movie got the loren allred version which is far better. Rebecca ferguson herself said in an interview that she sing this song while acting so it does not feel so out of act. But she would never ever sound as good as loren allred, being swedish nightingale.
For those who haven't seen the movie, they're only cheating themselves. You have to see this scene in the movie theater to see & experience just how magical it is. It has the power to transport you right into the scene, and the surround sound in the theater completely engulfs you. I'm a guy, and this scene was so beautiful with the beautiful song that it completely takes over your senses. Listen, I'm a guy, and I have to admit that my eyes were so watery, and I couldn't help it. This is one of the most beautiful and moving scenes I've ever seen in a film. I put it right up there with the emotionally wrenching and beautifully shot scenes from "Cinema Paradiso."
franconese01 - Dude, I'm like Jessica right above me. You weren't the only one that had weepy eyes, lol. SOOO MANY moving moments. It has surpassed the Sound Of Music as my favorite movie, of all time.
I don't care if the actress isn't actually singing this. She's BEAUTIFUL and the song itself means so much to me. I could have all the gold of the world but it never mean anything me unless I had the people I love to share it with. And one song can do a great amount of storytelling through lyrics alone. This is probably my second favorite after This Is Me 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Alejandra Mora Music Already saw it actually. I'm going to make a cover myself soon as the weather gets better. It's SO cold in Georgia we actually GOT snow ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Great song to be sure, but I feel like if you are casting an opera singer in your movie musical, you should get someone who can actually sing. My favorite song from this is From Now On.
At 2:59 Hugh Jackman's wife looks at him and she notices how he's looking at Jenny Lind. At that moment she knew she lost some of him that night - the sadness in her eyes unable stop the inevitable. That scene just kills me.
charlene miranda She did, she did not sing this part. Loren Allred did her singing voice, at least for this song. But her interpretation is what really made it for me.
oh my gosh under which rock have I been living that I am only discovering this now this is the most beautiful song i am literally covered in goose bumps
Practice, thats how. chances are she didn't nail it the first time and it took time for her to grow comfortable with the song and vocal strain she would need, I've been practicing this song for months and I feel like I have finally got it so it just takes practice
Seeing and hearing this on the big screen with full theater audio is one hell of a cinematic experience. You know you're in for something special when everyone in the theater shuts their mouth just to listen.
The only time I remember feeling so many emotions at one time in a theater was during Les Miserables. I felt overwhelmed. Some movie experiences are just THAT special.
When this scene came on in the theater, this song was practically booming through the room and that's what made me and my friends feel so powerful during this song. It has such a loud and, as I said(kinda), powerful atmosphere to it, and the power in the woman's voice makes it even better. This movie was phenomenal.
Boi, What? Thats what happened to me. I watched this at home with my family. But everyone was already sleeping so i was the only one seeing this and crying cuz our tv speakers are pretty loud too. It was just so powerful that i was smiling and crying the whole time.
Boi, What? I feel exactly the same. Was loving the movie and was so engrossed but then this came on and it was absolutely breathtaking stuff. So powerful. Now I know why you needed to see it in the cinema. I've watched it a million times over on you tube but it doesn't quite compare to that first time.
her voice is honestly one of the best I’ve ever heard maybe. i swear this movie gives me so many goosebumps. one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time.
lolyuhatin just to let u know, Rebecca Ferguson (the actress here) didnt sing this herself, the vocals behind this was from Loren Allred - she debuted on The Voice. Rebecca CAN sing tho and indeed learned the song pre-release - but in an interview she said she didnt wanna fuck it up so she was like “Loren you just go for it, girl” (thats her actual words lol)
every part of this scene has my entire heart and soul the actors + the beautiful audio + the filming + the set are all so //sobs zendaya's disappointment, zac efron's fear then regret, hugh jackman's expression of awe, michelle williams' helplessness, rebecca ferguson's passion all show through so clearly and it's so many emotions in just one scene and one song and i- //cRIES
lukas zamecnik our comment is not an absolute fact but our opinion from a video production and story telling perspective. You are entitled to your own opinion.
Synergy Video Productions calling this movie the best film ever Just shows, how limited your knowledge of movies is... sorry, but the storyline of this movie is incredibly basic and lacks any depth... its Just there to serve the purpose of showing cool scenes of people singing
This is one of the moments for me that solidified Hugh Jackman as one of the greatest actors of all time. The song is beautiful, don't get me wrong, and it goes EXTREMELY well with the storytelling aspect and Hugh's performance during his little moments in this song...MAN! He's simply reacting, but you can FEEL him react. He conveys emotion without speech. And I think that that is one of the best things about this movie. There were many moment without speaking or singing that had such impact...and this is the one that tops them all. And with his little moments along with the lyrics of the song made this one of the most powerful and impactful climaxes of all time. A turning point to be remembered!
Hugh's acting felt very sincere. This is why he's become my favorite actor. When he emotes, I feel it and can see into his soul. I can't say that about most current actors. He reminds me of the actors from the 1950s and 60s whom I really admired.
Jaehoon Jeong that's fair. It's an opinion I posted on a public site. It's how I felt and how I still feel about this scene. You replied and defended your point. I'll respect it. I won't take it as correct, but I'll respect it. Just happy to see another person see this masterpiece of a movie. Have a nice day!
The song itself doesn't get old, but all of these comments about the silent acting are. Please, the lyrics alone are poetry, and the orchestral accompaniment is fantastic. The acting only enhances the song. No actor was nominated for the Oscar, but the song "This is Me" was and won the Golden Globe for best song. The soundtrack of "Greatest Showman" went platinum only 3 months after the film was released, and it was the best-selling album of 2018 in all of the music industry. In other words, the music or soundtrack for "Greatest Showman" was bigger than the film itself.
I actually thought she sang this! 🤦🏻♀️😂 amazing lip singing geeze!!!! And can we all just applaud Huge Jackman?! I will never never!!! Stop appreciating his face and talent!
Anna Kakorin the actor in the video did not sing the actual song, that would be sang by Loren Allred. The actor did actually sing the song when filming to make it look as realistic as possible.
OH THANK GOD finally the scene is officially up in RUclips. idk somehow this song gives a lot feelings with the scene in it. anyway, Rebecca Ferguson really represents Loren Allred's voice perfectly... amazing actress & amazing voice!
Me to. But, I would have liked to her sing her way through the competition. Her version of Lauren Daigel’s prayer was good enough for me although, I have to agree with Simon, I wanted more. Thanks to the internet I can get it. Amazing talent
Rutherfurd Covers On the main stage you served us full golden fantasy, however it will never be enough. I'm sorry my dear but you are up for elimination.
ReadingCupcake I think he is stunned at first, and toward the end when you see him looking at the audience and then Back at her and he gets a slight smile, he realizes he has “struck gold” with Jenny Lindt. He doesn’t “just”have the “circus freaks” to show anymore. I think the wheels start turning again. Remember how he looked in the tent with his girls when he says “I think I have an idea”? This looked similar to me
Besides the amazing vocal talent of Loren Allred, this scene says so much with no talking- PT's expressions, his wife noticing his reaction to Jenny, and Phillip having to let go of Anne's hand (well, his choice to) and seeing how much he regrets it. This scene says so much without actually speaking any lines.
This is the moment that Barnum realises he can get an act who is "normal" to captivate an audience and bring him more fame and fortune...charity sees it as him falling for Jenny but all he sees are pound signs, and the song perfectly encapsulates the fact that all the stars and thousands of spot lights in the world will "never be enough" for him
also unlike the movie the woman who they are portraying actually was quoted as saying she hated barnum not had any infatuation for him like the film shows
Actually she didn’t lip sing she was singing 🎤 they dubbed her voice with Loren (the artist of the song) but they dubbed her voice with Loren so she can hit all the notes perfectly
OMG, the part where Phillip sees his parents silently judging him and he lets go of Anne's hand. Then she sadly runs off. :( My heart sinks a little every time I see it.
Same! Did you see Anne’s face.. She looks so sad and I felt bad. When she was holding Phillip’s hand, he looked so confident. You know what, screw those parents. I’m just going to visit them with a bat.. Casually going to bring a bat..
Why couldn't they tell us before that scene that those were his parents? I would think it'd make the scene actually emotional as it was occurring instead of after the fact on youtube.
I think its a bit unrealistic. He left his family to work in a circus, with in their eyes, full of freaks. And than doesnt want his parents to know that he is in love with a black girl... it doesnt make sense
This is one of the great movie soundtracks obviously! But this scene is gorgeously shot! The acting is beautifully done, but Rebecca's hands while singing that's an entire story altogether! I've watched this so many times!!
Someone commented elsewhere that Rebecca’s neck veins are popping out quite obviously - only someone actually singing will be able to have this happening... Which means that Rebecca actually sang this in her chorally-trained voice, with Loren’s being dubbed in later...
Christopher Erolin I 100% completely agree. When I first heard it in theatres, it sounded a lot grander and a lot more heartfelt. All the other songs too, my other favourites besides this one are Rewrite The Stars and From Now On. I nearly teared up during the movie because they really touched my heart in that moment. I feel like those who don't watch/listen to it with more superior sound systems are missing out.
Yes, I also fully agree. I'm also a guy, and this scene was so beautiful in the movie theater. People who haven't seen this film are only cheating themselves. You can only refer to this scene as magical. It's magic because you're magically transported into the scene, and the surround sound completely engulfs you. All of your senses are taken over by this beautiful song in the theater. It's one of the most beautiful scenes in film history, and I mean it. Listen, I'm a guy, and I have to admit that my eyes were watery as hell, even though I tried to hold myself back. As I looked over to the other people in the audience, I saw so many people pulling handkerchiefs and tissues out in unison. It was amazing. I've never experienced that when watching a film in the theater. This scene had gorgeous cinematography as well, and I almost completely lost it. Thank God I'm a guy and didn't break down completely. lol
The look on Zendaya’s characters face when Zac’s holds her hand is actually beautiful, like she can do anything with him there and the little smile she tries to hold back GOD. It makes the look of hurt on her face when he ignores her even more painful.
Emily Mallory I’m just being melodramatic; I know she doesn’t need him or anything but the subtle raise of her head is almost like she’s proud, more confident? Idk.
Emily Mallory - there's a thing called "true love" that still happens in this world. I think Phillip and Anne found that. I realize we now live in a jaded and even more cynical world than before, but stuff like this still happens. This is what most little girls (and boys, to a certain extent) dream about when they're young; to find that prince or princess that sweeps them off their feet. That's why stories like this resonate so strongly with people, all around the world. We all are the same. We wanna find that "true love". EDIT: I meant to say, "love at first sight", not "true love", even though true love works as well.
I think it was more confident as you say...but more in a "now I know he truly cares for me" confident because he made the first move to stand by her, and then took her hand...publicly. That is why it was more devastating to her that he dropped her hand when his parents started looking, She looked him up and down like "who are you"?
That is what makes the love stories in this movie so fascinating, and why we keep watching the videos...because our world, and even the entertainment field is VOID of love, and has replaced it with arbitrary sexual acts. Everyone is giving their bodies, and no one is giving their hearts. In this movie you see "love" and no sex, in most other movies you see sex, and no love...smh! This is what I like about this movie!
I thought this was genuinely amazing. I left the movie feeling optimistic and hopeful for the first time in a very long time. All my cynical attidue, pessimistic outlook, and general hatred disappated afterwards. The message was amazing. It's opened me up again as a person... I had already closed myself off to world and judged it. But like the disney movies I loved as a kid, it has inspired emotion within me I just havn't felt in such a long time. This film is amazing, and the critics really don't understand the depth of emotion this film brings. Absoloutly loved it!
Samuel xD Townson - I think the producers of this movie, as well as Hugh Jackman, NEED to see your comment. I think you speak for many of us, Sam. And I'm so glad you came back from that place you were at. This movie has now surpassed The Sound of Music, in my eyes, to become my favorite movie, EVER. And I'm not talking about musicals, I'm talking about ALL movies. Every RUclips video; every time I listen to the soundtrack, I end up emotional all over again. I can't even get any of the songs out of my head, that's how much of an impact this movie has impressed on me. And I've only seen it once in theatres, lol. (I'm planning to go several more times!)
That's exactly how I felt, I've been going through bad depression and anxiety for nearly half my life and I just didn't want to deal with all this hate and anxiousness anymore and I was really considering again to end my life but that's when I saw this movie. I mean there have always been Movies that could make you happy for a few days again and all that but I was in total awe the whole movie, from start to finish, it just touched me a lot and I could also relate to many characters a lot and the way they portray things and emotions in this movie just felt so damn real to me and I finished the movie and I was able to believe in myself again and that there WILL BE a better time, there are so many magical things in this world and it's for you to find them, maybe in a place, maybe in a hobby, maybe in friends or a lover, we'll all find it. We have to stop with this hatred and have to stand up for ourselves and others. I really want to get one or two lyrics from their songs tattooed to remind me to always keep on fighting. And I've already started with some major changes in my life. THANK YOU for this movie. It means so incredible much too me. Sorry for the bad english I know it sounds cheesy to say that this movie might have saved my life, but I think it did.
Why nobody praises Rebecca Ferguson for her performance! I know she didn't sing the song, but with her powerful emotion and elegant look she made the character way more charming than it would be. She always lights up the movie like in Mission Impossible.
"When you see the new movie musical The Greatest Showman in theaters over the holidays, you’ll probably be amazed by the singing voice coming out of Rebecca Ferguson‘s mouth. Well, that’s not actually Rebecca singing. Her voice was dubbed with singer Loren Allred‘s for her role as Jenny Lind. Loren is best known for making it to the Top 20 on season three of The Voice. She was on Adam Levine‘s team and went home way too early!"
Me and my mom went to this movie (it was my idea) I wasn’t too sure of it and my mom wasn’t to trilled to see it. When the movie began I had no idea it was a musical and I loved the songs immediately. Even my mom loved it and this is actually her favorite song she loves it when it play on her phone playlist I love it too and like to play it as well. Needless to say we loved it.
That happened to me! I had seen it with my friends first, so I knew it was amazing, and I wanted my mom to see it. When we got there, she didn't know it was a musical, (she loves musicals) and the expression on her face was PRICELESS. lmao

I know right. That moment and feeling you can hardly describe by words. Simply heart-trembling... I just watched the movie today for the first time and this song just became one of my top songs of my life.
Don't you sometimes wish you could erase certain parts of your memory just so you can get that same feeling again from seeing this movie for the first time. Lol
Enjoyment wise for me maybe even the best musical in a decade. I loved it more than 'Hair Spray' and 'Frozen' and i had them as my most recent favorites.
Yes, this was brilliant, she really really lipsynced so well and she brought the feelings of the lyrics through ❤️ I had no idea she wasn't actually singing haha
What I find amazing about this scene is that even though the song is beautiful, everything happening is truly heartbreaking. The guys from the circus feeling like they're never good enough to please people. Zendaya and Zac realizing they liking each other will never be a good enough reason for society to accept them. The showman's wife realizing that her husband will never stop because good is just not good enough for him. The song is telling you what's going through each character's head at that very moment and it's just... Woah. Sorry for my bad English lol.
I love how all of the acting in this video is completely silent, yet they’re so powerful

Rebecca ferguson herself said in an interview that she sing this song while acting so it does not feel so out of act. But she would never ever sound as good as loren allred, being swedish nightingale.
Sara Mangan she’s not
Omg I thought the same thing NJ ha I am so going to go to the sing live in the cinemas ha😂😍😍😍
This is the most captivating scene of the movie
Not Informed full movie
franconese01 - Dude, I'm like Jessica right above me. You weren't the only one that had weepy eyes, lol. SOOO MANY moving moments. It has surpassed the Sound Of Music as my favorite movie, of all time.
So much going on in the background, from different characters. And not one line of dialogue. All done with looks and gestures. But they say so much.
true! Acting without words is the best and hardest to pull off
This actress did SUCH a good job she really sold this song and the emotion almost like she was truly singing it herself.
James Robson she’s the best out there
Well she did sing it actually infront of 400 extras for the audtition.
Sourabh Bhoir no the song is actually sung by someone different.
She sang the song so it would catch the true emotion. Loren Allred was the actual voice you hear in the movie.
sexthemen
Huge applause for Loren Allred, unbelievable vocalist!
Photo finish second for me as well after This is me
Great song to be sure, but I feel like if you are casting an opera singer in your movie musical, you should get someone who can actually sing. My favorite song from this is From Now On.
Gabby G wait🤚🏽 WHAT! who’s singing it? I can’t believe I didn’t know that!! I’m gutted. I really thought it was her voice.
I absolutely loved Rebecca Ferguson playing this character! I also don't care if isn''t actually her. Because for me it is! hahahhah
Who else got goosebumps when the first time hearing it? I am
mutant x m xx xmmfffkq
goosebumps. tears. the whole shebang.
i legitimately began sobbing in the theater the first time i watched this movie and watched this scene.
Hugh's expressions in this scene deserves an award
Lol! I actually surprisingly agree at this weird comment.
You go Loren Allred! Absolutely a beautiful song with Loren’s stunning voice 💕🙏
As soon as she spoke the first word with the band instant goosebumps
Except she didn't really speak lol
lol
She didn't sing it too btw
Mattieu Speirs ya
Mattieu Speirs can i ask why the wife looked at him like that
this scene had me feeling so many emotions
ME TOO BABY GIRL AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Me too omg I always cry
Cadence Hill OK
You're telling me. My girlfriend is black and I'm white. She cried multiple times during this entire movie. I came close.
Me too when he let go of her hand I wanted to scream
At 2:59 Hugh Jackman's wife looks at him and she notices how he's looking at Jenny Lind. At that moment she knew she lost some of him that night - the sadness in her eyes unable stop the inevitable. That scene just kills me.
I knew she was going to be the "other woman" who nearly ruined his marriage and with the help of some paparazzi camera
I'm surprised Charity applauded at the end of her performance.
True that, but I think Hugh Jackman's character is thinking more of the success coming his way because of Jenny Lindi's talent.
TheSmartLocal so true this song is great but the scene is just sooooo 😔 sad
A.S. Martin I think, that's just how kind she is...
Seriously one of the most beautiful songs in all existence. Touches my soul so deeply!
These scene gave me goosebumps. The way she interpreted the song through her movement and the emotion of it all, she lip synced so well. I’m obsessed.
Angel Hernandez I don’t think she lip synced
charlene miranda She did, she did not sing this part. Loren Allred did her singing voice, at least for this song. But her interpretation is what really made it for me.
Hugh Jackman is such an underrated actor. It's a shame how he is mostly known for his Wolverine role only.
RookieN08 how he lost to James Franco is a fucking joke.
I must be the only person who thinks his impression of Weiseu is shithouse
I know. It's so sad. He should be known for this role, and everything else. But Mostly this role.
24601. :)
dear, Hugh Jackman is known for so many things, Les Miserables, Prisoners, etc. So please dont say things like that if they are not true
RookieN08 he’s hella gorgeous too
Can we just take a moment to talk about how Hugh Jackman's expressions were executed so well in this scene and also through out the whole movie??
alex eisinger ikr I wished someone actually looked at me like that
Daniel Tesfaye awwww 😂😊
oh my gosh under which rock have I been living that I am only discovering this now
this is the most beautiful song
i am literally covered in goose bumps
It is truly the most beautifully sung song in the entire fucking universe
Imagine hearing it in theatre.. THAT GAVE UNLIMITED GOOSEBUMPS and tears
@@TheLarachela Thank you!! i did a while ago - lauren allred is awesomel!!
Loren Allred is actually singing this song, the actress is lip syncing the song.
i'm barely hearing it for the first time four years later!
The emotion on Barnum’s (Jackman’s) face is just so amazing during this scene ❤️
Hannah Bailey I agree
i just can't understand how people can have *that* voice😍😍😍😍
rita a ikr
her voice is absolutely stunning but half of the credit for our goosebumps must go to the impeccable music
Practice, thats how. chances are she didn't nail it the first time and it took time for her to grow comfortable with the song and vocal strain she would need, I've been practicing this song for months and I feel like I have finally got it so it just takes practice
She wasn't the one singing you know that right
It's Loren Allred singing, not Rebecca Furgason
Seeing and hearing this on the big screen with full theater audio is one hell of a cinematic experience. You know you're in for something special when everyone in the theater shuts their mouth just to listen.
I got the same feeling, too.
Same
I am going to watch movie again just to watch this song and To the other side song....
This reminded me of my seeing the Phantom of the Opera in the theater - totally captivated. Like I was the only one there hearing and seeing this.
The only time I remember feeling so many emotions at one time in a theater was during Les Miserables. I felt overwhelmed. Some movie experiences are just THAT special.
Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson gave life to this song.. Only with their expressions 🔥
Agreed👍
I can never get enough of this song.
Never enough you might say ;)
I see what you did there.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
IncredibleJohn you don’t say
same
When this scene came on in the theater, this song was practically booming through the room and that's what made me and my friends feel so powerful during this song.
I agree it's also my fab song of 2018
Boi, What? She didn’t actually sing the song, it was lip synced, she even said she couldn’t sing in an interview.
Chrissy Cabusi Yeah, I know.
The greatest showman is by far the best musical in a while.
Gani Santos Vlogs Yes!!
i guess but you have also forgotten La La Land that was great as well and was just released in 2016
If we're talking theatrically, maybe, I dunno...but the best musical of any note this year is Dear Evan Hansen
Try hamilton babe😂♥️
TheRandom Anon I disagree with that, I don't like Hamilton (don't attack me please) 😂😂
it's incredibly powerful the way Loren sang it. The power of her voice is astounding.
Hugh Jackman's acting in this scene was really good. Actors that can express so much with their expression is the best.
I agree. Just look at his eyes. very expressive.
I agree, so much and so many differemt emotions. He's standing perfectly still. It's all I'm his face and eyes.
His expressions were so beautifully touching!
It's hilarious to me
I had and still have the same expression when I hear this song. Her voice is so powerful and rich.
hugh jackman’s acting in this scene made me so emotional
her voice is honestly one of the best I’ve ever heard maybe. i swear this movie gives me so many goosebumps. one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time.
lolyuhatin just to let u know, Rebecca Ferguson (the actress here) didnt sing this herself, the vocals behind this was from Loren Allred - she debuted on The Voice. Rebecca CAN sing tho and indeed learned the song pre-release - but in an interview she said she didnt wanna fuck it up so she was like “Loren you just go for it, girl” (thats her actual words lol)
David Velano I know, thanks though 🙏🏻
lolyuhatin La La Land was good too you know and also Kingsman whahahhaa
lolyuhatin totally agree...so enjoyable and entertaining! The music is awesome!
Into the woods is first runner up tho, but yeah I have to agree 😂
every part of this scene has my entire heart and soul
the actors + the beautiful audio + the filming + the set are all so //sobs
zendaya's disappointment, zac efron's fear then regret, hugh jackman's expression of awe, michelle williams' helplessness, rebecca ferguson's passion all show through so clearly and it's so many emotions in just one scene and one song and i- //cRIES
So many different stories captured in this one scene. Incredible. Truly the best film ever.
Synergy Video Productions yes sure
Synergy Video Productions come on, you cant be serious by calling this the best movie ever.
lukas zamecnik our comment is not an absolute fact but our opinion from a video production and story telling perspective. You are entitled to your own opinion.
YIKES NOT REALLY
Synergy Video Productions calling this movie the best film ever Just shows, how limited your knowledge of movies is... sorry, but the storyline of this movie is incredibly basic and lacks any depth... its Just there to serve the purpose of showing cool scenes of people singing
I remember watching this in the theater and I couldn't breathe properly. So much emotion!
Pipi
I agree with you that what happen to me and tears fell my eyes
Atlantic records please upload other scenes too.
Sabri Sen please upload the whole movie.. pfft
Iqbal Sumantri right.😂 These clips will "never be enough 😉
Hopefully we get one each week.
I remember watching this in moment in the cinema. It was magic.
A turning point to be remembered!
yet you probably watch shitty kdramas and say they're good
Hugh's acting felt very sincere. This is why he's become my favorite actor. When he emotes, I feel it and can see into his soul. I can't say that about most current actors. He reminds me of the actors from the 1950s and 60s whom I really admired.
Totally agree with you!
Just curious, Ph Turtle. Who were you responding to?
Jaehoon Jeong that's fair. It's an opinion I posted on a public site. It's how I felt and how I still feel about this scene.
You replied and defended your point. I'll respect it. I won't take it as correct, but I'll respect it.
Just happy to see another person see this masterpiece of a movie. Have a nice day!
Unbelievable what this one scene does for the whole movie. So much happens in 3 minutes. I've watched it so many times. Never gets old.
Jaw dropping scene. It's Hughs reaction to the music that hits you right in the heart
Screaming Eagle ikr
The level of emotion on this scene! The actors' eyes were full of emotion!
This scene gave me goosebumps for 3 minutes, damn 👏
I actually thought she sang this! 🤦🏻♀️😂 amazing lip singing geeze!!!! And can we all just applaud Huge Jackman?! I will never never!!! Stop appreciating his face and talent!
**Pixie** 7 for your information she really sang this sound if you dont believe just search on youtube
she DID sing this
Anna Kakorin the actor in the video did not sing the actual song, that would be sang by Loren Allred. The actor did actually sing the song when filming to make it look as realistic as possible.
**Pixie** 7 it’s lip syncing, not lip singing and she didn’t lip sync
She sang this yes or no??
OH THANK GOD finally the scene is officially up in RUclips.
idk somehow this song gives a lot feelings with the scene in it.
anyway, Rebecca Ferguson really represents Loren Allred's voice perfectly... amazing actress & amazing voice!
So glad Loren got the golden buzzer on BGT. Time to step into the spotlight 😎
Me to. But, I would have liked to her sing her way through the competition. Her version of Lauren Daigel’s prayer was good enough for me although, I have to agree with Simon, I wanted more. Thanks to the internet I can get it. Amazing talent
NOW THAT WAS A LIPSYNC. Shantay, you stay rebecca x
Rutherfurd Covers On the main stage you served us full golden fantasy, however it will never be enough. I'm sorry my dear but you are up for elimination.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHA
Now sashay away
Youve shown us singing that is worth a thousand spotlights... You're safe.
I'm living for this comment thread fantasy.
I swear she’s the greatest lip singer ever ! She deserves an award 🥇
She's an actor, and we can all see that she has done an incredible job!
Wait what shes a lip singer?!
Rhodora Gentapa she meant lipsyncer
i think she just song it and the audio was put in sync with it then it's indeed greatt
No, Loren Allred is the real singer of this song, Jenny Lind is acting that she sings it.
Hugh was legit me in the cinema during this song
jas Was he just impressed? Or why did he look so...I can't tell what it is? 🙈
This looked similar to me
Judd Kirk Thanks for the answer 😄
Besides the amazing vocal talent of Loren Allred, this scene says so much with no talking- PT's expressions, his wife noticing his reaction to Jenny, and Phillip having to let go of Anne's hand (well, his choice to) and seeing how much he regrets it. This scene says so much without actually speaking any lines.
BEST FILM, BEST SONG, BEST ACTOR, BEST COSTUME.. BETTER THAN THE ACTUAL NOMINEES
Arq Fatos agree Oscars 2018 sucks
This movie set off a dream in me ❤
Cristian Alba Music what's the dream

oh my god i read this as she was sings this line hahah
I LISTENED TO THIS SO MANY TIMES AND STILL GET GOOSEBUMPS EVERY TIME
Lee-Anne Jae Aranda Me too
Same !
Same here
Lee-Anne Jae Aranda samee
Ye , me too
Perfeitamente lindo! Emoção a mil...❤
This is the moment that Barnum realises he can get an act who is "normal" to captivate an audience and bring him more fame and fortune...charity sees it as him falling for Jenny but all he sees are pound signs, and the song perfectly encapsulates the fact that all the stars and thousands of spot lights in the world will "never be enough" for him
Nat Booth you got that right he was geedy
Nat Booth great analysis
well, if anything he sees dollar signs, since hes american
the real-life Barnum WAS quoted for stating how he only wanted to "put money in his own coffers" so I guess what you're saying is pretty accurate.
also unlike the movie the woman who they are portraying actually was quoted as saying she hated barnum not had any infatuation for him like the film shows
Too damn good for a lypsync. The greatest lypsinc I've ever seen. And shout out to Loren Allred, your voice is incredibly amazingly beautiful.
Prayas PPD she’s the best actress out there!
Actually she didn’t lip sing she was singing 🎤 they dubbed her voice with Loren (the artist of the song) but they dubbed her voice with Loren so she can hit all the notes perfectly
It's a lypsync?? Wow
Keyshawn Ford No it was lip sing i'm sure...
C N123 no Rebecca said it in interview that the dubbed her voice with Loren I know what I’m talking about....
Carol Hardesty i cried at that part.... i TRIED to hold it.. i couldn’t.
You can actually see her confident smile falls away when he drops her hand... in tandem with the song...
my heart sank. Aaarghh this movie...sigh
Wow! I wasn’t expecting that!! What an absolutely angelic voice!!! I see why she got the golden buzzard
Hugh's expressions !!!
Hall Of Fame rough right. so nice
Hall Of Fame ikr
There will never be enough words to describe what a great soundtrack this amazing movie has💗
Jelena H oooohhh nice👍
Jelena H a
Jelena H..Oh indeed
All thanks to Benj & Pasek!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I see what you did thereee
This is one of the great movie soundtracks obviously! But this scene is gorgeously shot! The acting is beautifully done, but Rebecca's hands while singing that's an entire story altogether! I've watched this so many times!!
She is lip sincing
Exactly dude. That hand movement is a big factor in the goose bumps effect. God i love this scene 😘
@@luuuferrr errrr duhh??
@@rayman1738 "Rebecca's hands while singing ",errrrrrr duhhhh? she isn´t singing ,piece of shit.
@@luuuferrr oh she isn't singing??? I am so glad you cleared that up. Thank you soooooo much man
Best lip sing ever ! 💜🌹👏🏻 ( singer : Loren Allred )
Ps : Am I the only one to always have chills when I listen to it?
Me toooooo
she actually sang this
I get chills every single time..... This goes directly to my heart...... Never Enough.... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Someone commented elsewhere that Rebecca’s neck veins are popping out quite obviously - only someone actually singing will be able to have this happening...
Which means that Rebecca actually sang this in her chorally-trained voice, with Loren’s being dubbed in later...
@@my_MillenniumFalcon The voice we hear is Lauren's.
It's even better in a theater. Even though I saw this on RUclips first, I still got the chills when I heard her.
Thank God I'm a guy and didn't break down completely. lol
the theatre I watched it in had shitty bass and speakers.. So at every musical in this video was horrendously bad. I still loved the movie though.
Where did you see it? Please give me a link or something, this movie is not in theaters anymore and I want to see it so bad 😔😢
The look on Zendaya’s characters face when Zac’s holds her hand is actually beautiful, like she can do anything with him there and the little smile she tries to hold back GOD. It makes the look of hurt on her face when he ignores her even more painful.
She can do anything? She shared one glance with him before this scene and yet now she knows she can do ~anything~ with him? Sigh.
And i'm still watching. May and now june, july, oktober now 2019. ok it's 2020
But i never enough

This is a masterclass in non-verbal acting. So much happens in the span of 3 minutes, and not a word between characters gets spoken. Wow.
HER VOICE IS AMAZING 😍❤
It’s actually not Rebecca Ferguson’s, it’s a lady’s called Loren Allred
Kayla Lien i know
so she was just mouthing it like literally? I thought it was Rebecca's just autotuned..?? um omg
Steven Merlino yeah I wonder what the audience/extras/ other actors really heard 🤔
Rebecca Ferguson did a great job of lip syncing Loren Allred's amazing voice
This scene makes me cry everytime! so beautiful!!!!!!!

1 of the most OUTSTANDING SONGS from this magical movie
I'm glad for you mate. That's the power of music. May you always hear it
That's exactly how I felt, I've been going through bad depression and anxiety for nearly half my life and I just didn't want to deal with all this hate and anxiousness anymore and I was really considering again to end my life but that's when I saw this movie.
Sorry for the bad english
I know it sounds cheesy to say that this movie might have saved my life, but I think it did.

Why nobody praises Rebecca Ferguson for her performance! I know she didn't sing the song, but with her powerful emotion and elegant look she made the character way more charming than it would be. She always lights up the movie like in Mission Impossible.
She is singing!!
I was exactly thinking of the same thing! Just goes to show how amazing actress she truly is!
Adam Levine's team and went home way too early? Why does it sound like in Begin Again movie?
I really like Rebecca's acting in the movie. Her lip sync is just amazing. Can't get her ot of my eyes in the whole movie!

When we got there, she didn't know it was a musical, (she loves musicals) and the expression on her face was PRICELESS. lmao

Lamrot Tafesse that's not her voice. Another singer is creditrd to the characters singing voice. Just proves how great of an actress she is.
Skylisc
I knew it! The voice didn't suit her.

Hugh Jackman’s face in this scene is literally every one in the cinema during that scene, and the whole film to be honest. Amazing movie!

Don't get jealous, wife! He still loves you. He's just overwhelmed that he's finally winning over the crowd, especially that journalist.
Mrgokujr2012 well she knows something won't be right so I think she's have the right to be jealous lol.
it's just.. a man sometimes wouldn't listen to his woman until something went wrong, bleh
Mrgokujr2012 have u seen the whole movie? Cause I feel like u haven't
You haven't seen the movie have you?
Mrgokujr2012 But she knowed that singer woman was falling in love with her husband.
I found out it's not actually her singing, but in the theaters when this song started I held my breath because it was so angelic. Fantastic acting.
Jessica Lee ya a new singer sing it
When I watched this in the cinema i fully bawled my eyes out
Yes, this was brilliant, she really really lipsynced so well and she brought the feelings of the lyrics through ❤️ I had no idea she wasn't actually singing haha
Just Wang your English is good 👍
all the songs from this movie can seriously make me cry every single time
