Charity is a perfect example of a naturally written tough as nails woman. I know she came from a well-to-do background but she handled so much adversity in such calm and composed ways. Never mind just handled, she lived with the grace of a world class Trapeze artist. Beyond that she didn’t let her own insecurities or fears become an anchor to this person she loved so much. She chose a harder life full of wonder and exploration over being married to some ultra wealthy dude, and never once questioned her decision (beyond thinking her husband was cheating of course, and admittedly it looked really bad). What an awesome character.

Realita bahwa yang melanjutkan S2 ke luar negeri adalah orang-orang yang lulusan PTN terkenal, setidaknya PTN, dan kalaupun ada kampus swasta pasti dari favorite atau elit. Bisa ga ya? Sebenarnya dengan aku yang seperti ini bisa ga ya kuliah S2 ke luar negeri? Mimpi ku sekarang selain kuliah ke luar negeri adalah juga ingin memiliki pekerjaan yang settle. Semua orang ingin itu bukan? Memiliki kerja di perusahaan bahkan ternama, gaji oke, lingkungan positif, bahkan kalo bisa di kantor. Jujur bukan agar terlihat keren, aku ingin bisa kerja yang begitu adalah supaya bisa membahagiakan dan membiayai hidup orang tua juga, agar generasi ku nanti tidak kekurangan atau pun menggelisahkan keuangan seperti aku, dan bisa berbagi. I grew up in asia and when I was 18 my dream was to study abroad. When this song came out I listened to it every night before I go to bed, and I have the motivation to get up the next day, study and prepare to leave my home country. Now 2022, 22 years old ,I have been an international student for almost 3 years, I still come back to this song.

Something unheard of is happening with this movie. It opened small and was dismissed by cynical critics. It shouldve been dead and buried. But then something magical happened.......word of mouth started to spread and people went in spite of the reviews. And then it started to climb up the box office charts, which absolutley never happens. Not even star wars did this. I saw it tonight for the second time and the theatre was packed........two months after it was released. That is true magic.

Right. I lived through Titanic when it first came on, and it was like this. it didn't even open as the # 1 movie. A James Bond movie beat it. But each week it just made $ 30-40 million steady and it was in theaters until Memorial Day. TGS made me feel that Titanic feeling again.

Charity is a perfect example of a naturally written tough as nails woman. I know she came from a well-to-do background but she handled so much adversity in such calm and composed ways. Never mind just handled, she lived with the grace of a world class Trapeze artist. Beyond that she didn’t let her own insecurities or fears become an anchor to this person she loved so much. She chose a harder life full of wonder and exploration over being married to some ultra wealthy dude, and never once questioned her decision (beyond thinking her husband was cheating of course, and admittedly it looked really bad). What an awesome character.

To me, beberapa tahun kedepan. And to me saat ini dan kemarin. Give your heart a million dreams like this song. Mimpi-mimpi itu rasanya sulit bahkan terlalu sulit. Setiap hari menanyakan diri sendiri sambil meyakinkan diri sendiri apakah mimpi-mimpi itu bisa ku gapai?
Salah satu mimpi ku adalah bisa keluar negeri. Khususnya kuliah S2 ke luar negeri. Awalnya aku sangat yakin dan optimis. Namun, semakin mencari tau ternyata banyak realita yang mebuatku takut hingga bertanya apakah bisa?
Jadi sandwich generation meskipun memang tidak dituntut, tapi realitanya memang harus begitu. Bermimpi besar S2 keluar negeri tapi mendapatkan pekerjaan pun sulit sekali. Lulusan kampus swasta biasa di kabupaten, gaada program kkn atau magang dari kampus sehingga aku nyari pengalaman sendiri itu pun sulit sekali sejujurnya. Nyari dan berjuang sendiri di perantauan.
Realita bahwa yang melanjutkan S2 ke luar negeri adalah orang-orang yang lulusan PTN terkenal, setidaknya PTN, dan kalaupun ada kampus swasta pasti dari favorite atau elit.
Bisa ga ya? Sebenarnya dengan aku yang seperti ini bisa ga ya kuliah S2 ke luar negeri?
Mimpi ku sekarang selain kuliah ke luar negeri adalah juga ingin memiliki pekerjaan yang settle. Semua orang ingin itu bukan? Memiliki kerja di perusahaan bahkan ternama, gaji oke, lingkungan positif, bahkan kalo bisa di kantor. Jujur bukan agar terlihat keren, aku ingin bisa kerja yang begitu adalah supaya bisa membahagiakan dan membiayai hidup orang tua juga, agar generasi ku nanti tidak kekurangan atau pun menggelisahkan keuangan seperti aku, dan bisa berbagi.
Ada banyak hal. Tapi aku selalu menangis setiap mendengar atau menyanyikan lagu A Million Dreams ini.

Something unheard of is happening with this movie. It opened small and was dismissed by cynical critics. It shouldve been dead and buried. But then something magical happened.......word of mouth started to spread and people went in spite of the reviews. And then it started to climb up the box office charts, which absolutley never happens. Not even star wars did this. I saw it tonight for the second time and the theatre was packed........two months after it was released. That is true magic.

I’ve watched this movie already because I went to the premiere... let me tell you... I’m not gonna spoil ANYTHING but this film is freaking the best thing I’ve ever seen! Have high hopes for whoever watches it on the 20th or later😉
