Why am I crying... Her dream of rocking has become reality. That little Head nod by Miku before stepping up for her solo, looking at Kanami. Kanami with the encouragement. Did anyone notice Kanami's face when she hit that high note. Man... ROCKSTARS🖤🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥🔥
I have heard of people talking about various mistakes during the concert. People are crazy! Saiki jumps and dances with 15cm of heel, Kanami does not stand still for a second, is constantly in headbang, never looks at the guitar and always looks at the crowd, Akane smiles throughout the concert, tries to interact with the crowd, the only mistake that was when she was distracted by the cameraman. Miku ??? God, constantly plays and sings backing vocal, during Omajinai time she screams more than a human being does in his lifetime, and soon after, she is able to continue singing and hitting even that note in Sayonakidori. Misa is Misa, she is never wrong. 5/6 errors in 2 hours of show, people have probably heard only bands in playback live so far! Best band in the world!
I'm sure some losers are sitting at home and keeping score as they watch these videos. I wouldn't worry about them too much. The maids could stand there like statues and be perfect (and bore the shit out of everyone), or they could rock the roof off the joint and make a little mistake here and there. I prefer the latter. If you want perfect and boring, go to a Dream Theater show.
The greatness of BAND-MAID becomes apparent when you compare them to the live performances of other bands. Only then you will understand that play a song live is not the same as to make it done in the studio. Very rarely you find a band which sounds better live. Only the true legends like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin were able to accomplish such a feat.
It could be that everyone says that they sound great live that some expect them to be perfect. I hear some mistakes now and then but it just reminds it is live and they are human. Just enjoy.
"She screams more than a human being does in his lifetime," Oh, as a Packers fan (currently 3-6) and a gamer, I'm not so sure about that one (I keep my mic off). 😉 Her screaming is definitely far more pleasant to listen to; that part is for sure. You are absolutely right though, it is ridiculous to criticize them for a handful of moments that barely qualify as mistakes during an entire show. When Saiki flubbed the talky breakdown during Bubble, I believe the only time they played the song all tour, I found it refreshing and the crowd cheered her afterwards. It was actually better that way because it was a human moment from the rock goddesses that we all got to share with them.
Every time the crowd cheer at the last note, as they have done in every concert in the US. The emotion and the pride of a great performance is just superb.
Since Led Zep, no band I've ever been encountered like BAND-MAID! Such beautiful BAND ever! Unique in all ways! Different in all manners! Best BAND of all time, IMO. LIVE FOREVER BAND-MAID!!!
Miku is very talented musically. She is that rare type of person who can "walk around" the melody as other people can walk around a tree. I have a friend who is also like this, that's why I say it's a personality type. I remember we were once having a party, and she was playing guitar. We were all singing together a song we all knew. We were singing it in unison, and then she suddenly started improvising. She was weaving an improvisation melody around our singing, and it was amazing! Not many people can do it. Miku is also like that. It's not a problem for her to "sing around" Saiki's main melody. She goes higher, lower, in syncopation, whatever. This is absolutely amazing. She may not be a very talented guitar player, that's true. Her guitar solos on Hatofull album are very good, but she treats guitar in a similar way she treats her voice, I would say. She does not shred, like Kanami, she just "sings" with her guitar.
Nothing but my deepest respect for Miku - with talent and steely determination to the top of the Rock world, marching roads shunned by rent-seekers and their ilk. This marvelous lady is a role model in many ways.
8 years learning from scratch and be able to sustain a proper rythmical section for the monster power trio formed by Misa, Akane, kanami, while at the same time singing complex harmonies with Saiki. Anybody minimizing her role in this band is just plain stupid.
You can see Miku's sense of accomplishment when she hits 'that note', and the audience is right there with her....I wish one of the girls had walked down and shook the hand of that guy with the ponytail, true fan right there
Heard this was a pretty emotional rendition. Glad to see it captured by the legendary Mr Vladimir Chupin! I think it was very cute how Kanami retreated behind to Akane’s side during the duel solo instead of standing next to Miku as usual. Like “she’s got this”.
Now, when Saiki has started writing lyrics as well, it's becoming clear that Miku and Saiki have different tastes and attitudes. Saiki is more wild and off-the-track, while Miku, in words of Saiki herself, is contemplating and philosophical. And they are fused into a single entity in the band, and they sound amazing always!
I think Kanami is a little bit scared of her own greatness. If she would demonstrate her power too openly, her bandmates would be pushed back. So, she consciously steps down to let them shine. Mincho is amazing 😘❤️
Thank you Vladimir for the video. Miku nailed it, and the crowd appreciation on her high note was priceless. You could see the pride in Miku's and Mincho's face after the performance. Sayonakidori is no easy song to play and sing, and Miku's does both at the same time, she is an amazing performer like the rest of her band maids. I hope you were able to get a ticket for Tokyo Garden Theater 🙂
No, I was not able to get that ticket to Tokyo Garden Theater. I lost the lottery for O-MEI-SYU-SAMA, and after this, Pia held a lottery for the Japanese residents only.
It's worth underscoring for new fans-Miku is the only band member who gets literally no break for the entire show, maybe a few moments when Saiki MCs, but that's about it.
The band puts her more and more into the front as a guitarist, actually. That intro for NO GOD was amazing! And Miku was playing one of the lead parts!
