Ideal scale beginner airplane that also has the same gentle flight characteristics as well as the form of the original !
Since its birth in 1937, more than 20,000 Piper J-3 Cub have graced the skies around the world. The calm and stable flight of the Cub makes it an ideal choice for a scale R/C airplane. Electric power takes away the complications of engine starting etc. and allows you to concentrate on the fun of flying. The long 1,800mm wingspan reproduces the Cub's steady flying characteristics while the NACA2415 type wings make light stunts possible. As one of KYOSHO's renowned fully assembled SQS models, the specially selected balsa structure is covered in film to deliver a lightweight but highly rigid finish. As a scale trainer, you will not find a more reliable and fun training partner.

This is the first airplane that I have an equal. I bought it in 2006, my Father and I went to another city to buy it. I did not flight it because I was totally involved with my pHD. Some months ago, my father passed away, and last Friday, I successfully defended my PhD. So today, I started to assemble my J-3 as yours. Unbeleavle, just today you put this video. Great. Magic...back to balsa and glow engines....all my fleet of 25 are all balsa not a foamie or electric motor in my hanger....saito has a beautiful sound....please keep flying the balsa planes...much more fun...👍👍👍

Prop strike, oops.Nice J-3, when I was younger, my pops took me up in a full sized j-3, and it was fun, they are simple tube and rag airplanes, with a franklin or continental engine. Saito makes a great 4 stroke..Big salute to my amature rc pilot bros, Captain Blaz and Pilot Robert...

I hope sometime soon you guys will treat yourselves to a better runway. A lot of clubs here in the states use a kind of thick roll out tarp material for the runway that seems to work pretty well and doesn't require a lot of work to put down, or even just scraping in a larger smoothed out dirt runway. You got such a nice place to fly and a nicer (EDF friendly) runway would be the icing on the cake, or the mustard on the sausage, or the cherry on the... well at least I think you guys deserve it... and for d pleasure!

Nothing like a yellow cub and scale flying. Beautiful. I built a sig clipped wing cub 30 years ago. It's only an uncovered Balsa frame hanging from my cabin ceiling -- but I love just looking at it. Something magical about the Piper Cub and you guys captured it today. Thanks.
you could always cover it with yellow transparent monokote/ultracote then you could fly it and still enjoy the internal structure

I love the old Kyosho planes. My dad's and my first kyosho was a Trainer 60. Maybe 22 years ago. Two years later a Pt-19. We dit over a hunderts of flights with these awesome models! Thank you for the great memories.

Yesssss....electro foamies are more convenient but there is no better plane than a balsa glow engine plane. It flies amazing, even in the strong winds. And the Saito engine purrrrs like a happy kitten. So much joy to have for 180 bucks.

It was awesome.
Great video of the Piper Cub, probably one of the most recognizable airplanes ever built. Capt Blaz, you have the patients of a stone, you two are a team l love to watch and listen too. You both have such an infectious laughter and obviously enjoy the hobby, there cannot possibly be two brothers like you in the world. Keep up the good video's and thanks for sharing.
WE really cant imagine better hobby and we are so lucky to share this passion. Good thing that Blaž got me into this hobby too.
I had one of these many years ago, powered by an even older ( and not so powerful) Super Tigre .60 two stroke. A great flyer and oh so stable. Once up and trimmed out at 1/2 throttle, I could fly circuits using the rudder only to steer it in gentle turns, while holding (and eating) a sandwich with the other hand. Unfortunately the model was stolen from my garage by some low life. Thanks for the memories Blaz and Robert.😁

you need some bigger wheels but that flight was as if you fly glow all the time very very good and only flipped because of the little wheels and the grass catched and caused that but brother fly some more glow and that was the best filming Ever Capt Blaz 10/10 All DAY

I love every type of RC engine, gas, chainsaw conversions, everything and I fly mainly 2 stroke glow because of simplicity and less parts however because of your brother I will definitely get a 4 stroke, they all have their place and time, I fly electric too but for me I prefer to refuel and do many flights with the same plane.
I also love gas engines. More simple then glow.

She had an O.S. 40 glow
A special feature:
Turning only with the ailerons was impossible. She leaned over and flew almost in a straight line. She had to apply a little bit of tail rudder.

I love both versions also. When I dont have time I fly foam one.
I have an older Cub made by "The World Models". It has a 8.6 foot wingspan and is powered by a 30cc gas engine. Everything you say about flying these Cubs are correct. They are just great flying birds. They look so good in flight and are so much fun to fly. Put some bigger wheels on that bird. Your landing was perfect. Water and tall grass did you in.
That's right pilot Robert this is my home 2000 plus miles away. "I don't know what... Or something" it is so good to see you flying Nitro and balsa wood airplanes again but you have been flying electric planes so long you forgot when the motors running don't tilt the plane too high LOL or you will be doing the Walk of shame to the runway LOL, but that's okay you have the best Nitro doctor in town as your brother helping you thank you Captain blaz for the film work and being a Nitro doctor you salute from Virginia Beach USA 🇺🇸
I really feelted so good after this flight. I needed it after such long time. And like you said Iam lucky to have Blaž.
