      @richardsinclair7661 5 лет назад +7

      ragingchaosgod You really couldn't. "Desu" is just the particle that designates an affirmative sentence. Essentially, if you said "Austin desu", you'd just be saying "Austin" To say I am, you need to use "Watashi wa", "Boku wa" or "Ore wa"
      What Austin said (Sore wa Austin desu) translates to "That is Austin".

    • @SilentscufflE
      @SilentscufflE 5 лет назад +19

      Sore wa Austin desu (That over there is Austin)
      Kore wa Austin desu (That is Austin)
      I think he was trying to say Ore wa Austin desu (I am Austin), but that's sort of a mash of different levels of manner. To be consistent, it would be "Ore wa Austin da," "Ore wa Austin," "Austin desu," or if he were to be formal, it would be "Watashi no namae wa [last name] desu."

    I highly recommend checking out Jump! Ultimate Stars for the Nintendo DS.
    It is easily my favorite anime/ Shonen Jump game ever made.
    I even played thousands of Online matches back before the servers shutdown during a time when I was one of the few non Japanese players a few years after its release.
    I printed out a text guide back when I originally played through and 100%d it and it was easily 50+ pages I printed out.
    It has a few playable Dragon Ball characters with multiple moveset variants with their own Super Attacks from different parts of the the series timeline respectively.
    I learned about a bunch of really awesome series that I likely never would have if not for that game. Buso Renkin, Black Cat, Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure, and many many more are all represented and given due respect.

    Although a close second might just be K-ON Houkago Live for the PSP, I just love me some rhythm games and getting to play a bunch of Houkago Tea Time's songs is such a treat~♥
    Shame the game only has Season 1 songs, and it never got a sequel...
    I'd also include Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pichi Pichitto Live Start for the Game Boy Advance, the game is just hella impressive and proof that the GBA can totally handle a rhythm game, and a real good one at that!
    Oh yeah, I just remembered Gundam Wing Endless Duel for the Super Nintendo! That's like, probably the best 16 bit fighting game right there, it's straight-up arcade-quality fighting on the SNES!

    I feel obligated to point out that a lot of the darker stuff in the Sailor Moon anime was added or built upon by the anime staff. The creative staff brought on for the anime was p fantastic and they really breathed a lot of life into the manga, which on it's own is kinda juvenile. These dudes included Kunihiko Ikuhara who would go on to make Revolutionary Girl Utena (the plot of which was actually based on a rejected script for a Sailor Moon movie), and Juunichi Sato who would do stuff like Princess Tutu and Ojamajo Doremi.

    The Ultimate Ninja were what Storm was, but in the PS2 generations, and I believe It was amazing.
    As well as the storm series, protagonist where outright broken, but the game was stupidly fun, and the optional challenges and the hardest dificulty demanded a few tries before winning.
    The thing tracked how many Wins and Loses you were getting in the VS mode against your friend, and I remember nights that ended like... 73 vs 69. All the games were played with random character selection, but we had such practice that seeing Hinata's sister kicking Sasuke's ass was not imposible. I played the heck out of both Ultimate Ninja 3, 4 and 5. Story mode was ok, and it was many hours long in all of them. But I played UN5 in japanese, so maybe that made it a lot harder to complete...
    Same with Budokai Tenkaichi 3. All my friends and I were not exactly casuals, but we where (and I still am) not nearly good enough to enjoy a 2d high complexity fighting game. But this simplier games, where the controls where easy, where there was a throughout tutorial and every character used the same button scheme... were amaizing.
    Here, in Argentina it was really uncommon to know someone with a nintendo or microsoft console. PS1 and 2 were almost a total monopoly, so there were not many party games. This fighting games (along with Urban Reign and PES, the only 2 games we knew that allowed 4 players) were our party games. And even remembering them feels so good...

    My fav Anime Games are the To Love Ru Darkness games on the PS Vita.
    Both Battle Ecstasy and True Princess are brilliant To Love Ru games that bring out all the ecchi elements from the series, one was a action based dungeon crawler and the other was a Dating Sim Visual Novel game that points out all the major ecchi scenes from the series but in a context of its own storyline.
    Really awesome game that puts the service into fan service Anime Games.

      @@kainhighwind2 It's not like I'm saying the game is bad in any way or anything, just flatter compared to the others. The Gameplay is 97% the same, other than small improvements, QTE's have been boosted in amount for more flare, but I would've personally rathered the more open feel of the game, even if technically linear.
      And cutscene STILL could of been done with animation, Rather than just Key moments. Maybe they should've just considered more moments Key?

    I would pay damn good money to have Cyber-connect work on a One Piece game but alas it seems not to be. I'll be honest most One Piece games arn't very good but the one that I feel the most comfortable recommending is One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3. It's a musuo game so you get what you pay for but if you want a pretty decent game where you can run around and fight as anyone from One Piece it's pretty good for that. Hopefully World Seeker will break this streak of bad One Piece games.

    Pretty much most fighting games or role-playing games with an anime aesthetic or based on an anime IP besides VNs have a stellar reputation. (Not all games based on anime are great and even I know that since we all know licensed IP games have a pretty bad track record and it’s easy to see why) A lot of the better anime IP games are in fact fighting games, or at least what I experienced. (excluding original IPs, we have games like Fate Unlimited Codes, InuYasha and Shaman King for PS1, Gundam Battle Assault/Endless Duel, Bleach: Dark Souls, Naruto Storm, Hokuto no Ken for PS2 [originally an arcade game], Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure on Dreamcast, the recent Demon Slayer game and especially Dragon Ball FighterZ and many more are all really good and are worth playing especially if you’re a fan of those intellectual properties. Don’t get me started on DBFC, that game is fucking awesome. I don’t care what anyone says, Kirito’s my main) If you ask me, I think Eighting has a pretty good track record. They’ve made some middle of the road fighting games yeah (like Naruto or Battle Stadium DON which I think are so so) but they’ve made some excellent ones here and there and I absolutely agree on Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, I also have Tatsunoko Fight and I think it’s pretty good. I think modern day fighters have an overall great track record, especially anime ones. You were right about fighting games and visual novels being safe bets, you forgot role-playing games though. Anime and fighting games are like bread and butter, not live-action-y sprites, it just shits on the legacy if you ask me.

    One thing I want to add that wasn't mentioned about it is that you don't unlock only Krillin. You unlock 30 characters, almost every boss, minion and extra in general. They're unlockable in Extra Mode after you get the 7 Dragon Balls and get their pictures and they're available in platform stages and mini games like the minion rush and the boss rush.
    Don't know if this is a spoiler, but I wanted to say this in case you didn't know because this blew my mind the first time I got to play as so many characters from DB.
