About LESTA JAH JAH BAND:
Cradled by roots reggae since childhood, Lesta was born and raised in Lyon. She knows the beginnings of the reggae movement there before leaving for other horizons. Arrived in Reunion in 2000, the singer first accompanies a local artist before joining the band Igziabeher (roots rock reggae) as a backing vocalist and pianist. The group covers the songs of Bob Marley in French. In 2016, Lesta started his own formation, the band Soul I Jah. A reggae with conscious lyrics addressing social, cultural, religious and spiritual themes. The group does not hold but perseverance helps and in 2018, the artist is known on the island and outside with Slavery Time produced by the studio Jah Jah Records (Cilaos). A title with 70's roots sounds that comes out in 45 rpm with RunRun Records. The 45 rpm is also the very first vinyl 100% made in Reunion. Subsequently, Lesta continued the release of singles and clips, including Step in Jah Yard produced by the studio La KazAVibe and released on the Reggaeville platform. A second single has since been produced with the titles Mama Land and Go Back to Zion. The writing of the 1st album has been in progress since early 2021.
