This video was amazing and looking forward to season 2! Wanted to share my thoughts on the main girlies 1) Bree best character on the show and the only one who actually has character development! Season 1 Bree and Season 8 Bree are two different woman in the best possible way. I’d argue she’s the leader of the group after Mary Alice and The actress is also fantastic in the role. 2) Gabby is also great but I’m so disappointed in the writing for her she has the second most character development but then also falls back on that development a lot. I will say the actress who plays her kinda only knows how to play her one way sadly (that’s not a read) I just don’t think the writing allows room for anything else. She’s very entertaining to watch and kinda gets stuck in the comic relief role which falls flat sometimes she had so much potential to be as great as Bree but it just didn’t happen 3) Lynette started great and her views on wanting to work/wanting more for herself and her kids other then just being a stay at home mum is definitely refreshing however the problem is she doesn’t change at all throughout the show. She has more chances to change like gabby but nothing sticks which is a shame. 4) Susan, oh Susan… the worst character on the show honestly she’s a terrible person and she never learns from it. We’re expected to just ignore everything she does because she’s Susan (clumsy, cute, well meaning) but it’s not an excuse she’s just terrible over all. Kinda a shame because I think the actress is also the weakest on the show (which is ironic because she allegedly thought she was the best and the other girls weren’t on par with her) I find she’s constantly in this mix of over acting when she’s given more to chew on writing wise (maybe to try and prove her ability) to almost under acting to play off Susan’s horrible traits. I feel like she’s meant to be the main housewife also and season 1 and some of season 2 really does try make her the center of the show but this is very quickly dropped. These are my opinions of the characters and I’m not meaning any harm, I love this show a lot and have watched it now 3 times completely through but would love to hear other people’s opinions there is so much more I’d love to say/discuss about all this but writing it all out would be a dissertation and I don’t want to bore everyone!
Susan and Lynette are the most insufferable characters who didn’t develop at all throughout the series. Susan constantly used her daughter as bait which endangers her life! Lynette is a major Karen and I was so happy when Tom (almost) married someone else.
