Some little additions: -Colours influence the stats a horse can get, white horses are speedy, red ones are allrounders, black horses are the most agile (brake/turn is high). So don't get a black horse and expect it to become a fast runner. And pure colour horses can't learn Twoseater. -Some horse skills can only be used when the horse has gear equipped (like Charge). A horse also needs to be saddled when you want to fight from its back. -You can borrow horses from friends/guildies. -Overfeeding one of the three T9-skills can be usefull since it increases the chance to get the T9 associated with that skill.
When you register a stallion for breeding, it is very important to tick the box "show only for me". Otherwise other people can use your stallion to breed with their mare for a small fee, and they will get the foal. Also, training mastery matters when breeding so always use your horse training character to breed to get the highest chance of a higher tier horse fro the breed. Good video!
Not sure if it was mention but after you captured a horse you do not need to ride that horse back to stable keeper. Instead you can use your faster horse to travel as fast as you can to stable keeper. Captured horse will spawn itself next to you when you stop. I have seen many new players use new captured horse to ride back to stable keeper and it take ages :)
based from my experience, i don't see much videos out there on yt for a complete horse system guide for this game out there. it was really hard for me back then to learn everything about the horse system myself. Personally, when explaining I would recommend adding more visual representation of how it's done, what materials you need etc. for a clearer explanation. other than that great video.
Some tips for capturing: - You can hotbar the rope and sugar. I like that better, personally have 20 hotkeys set up (settings -> interface settings -> quick slot hotkeys) and have rope on num8 and sugar on num9 - When the horse starts prancing, don't start the minigame right away. Keep walking until right before the horse's hooves hit the ground again. If you hit space then to start, you will have advanced a couple meters for 'free'; saves time. If you tap too late you will fail but the window is huge so it should not be a problem. - The minigame has changed so that you can hit space slower. Just take your time, tap like once or twice every second and you win easily. when the UI says 0 seconds, tap 1 more time quick, then you can stop. the bar wont drop down far enough to fail and you will be done tapping. Now a question from my end to confirm: it's true that you only get the exp when registering at the stable, so whatever your mastery/training exp buff is while capturing doesn't matter, right? Only once you register? Because while riding around and training i use more mount exp (especially my pets, +4 silver clothes) and when registering I switch to training exp/life exp (pets/manos clothes).
For a faster drift > instant accelerate cancel, bind "ww" key in setting (just type in ww in the setting window) to mid mouse button, so now just hold your mid mouse button and F key, and lightly tap "AS" or "SD" to fast drift and go into instant acceleration much faster
Oh and also, the higher the break stat your horse has, the shorter the drift animation, my doom has pretty high break stat so the drift animation is super short
Bro I might be hoping over to bdo after seeing the preview patch notes from eso, always followed you and used your old Magdk build from back in the day. These guides are gonna be helpful lol thanks man
The horse system is broken. I even wrote to the GMs telling them its broken but as usual it has fallen to deaf ears. Right now I have a bunch of T8 courser, 2 Doom, 1 Dine and 1 Pegasus. For you new people, I will lay the simple rule here. It is much faster to grind and buy a dream horse than actually training them. Trust me I am an M3 horse trainer and I bought all my dream horses. You can make more than 100mil/hour at Centaurs so depending on how much time you grind, it is faster than actually training the horse from T5, T6, T7, T8 courser and awaken it. Thats it. Just grind and pick your dream horse from the market. Easy.
Appreciate the guide, covered quite a bit in it. As a newer player I found the horse system vague and intimidating, it's pretty easy to waste a lot of time and get little return for your efforts when lacking specific information, definitely something guides like this help resolve.
The horse taming is giving me a headache. The space spamming minigame fails every time, even though the bar is at the red end when the timer stops. Either the minigame starts right again after it finishes and then fails, or if I'm able to move forward a bit more it then randomly says "taming failed" without giving me another minigame. I can't even do it on the wooden horse. I've read a ton of guides and watched a few videos, I know how it works in theory. Any tips or ideas anyone?
It doesnt't matter if you lose more than its actual cost after ___ attempt. If you give up, you will still try to farm 10-12T all over again which makes it 2x more expensive than its price. So if you're going to get the horse and you dont know what to do, either buy it or try to get it with RNG tries. You should make your decision at the beginning and not waste items for the horse upgrading materials. If you are already at 25-30 tries, just go ahead and get it.
Hi, can I get info on how to increase knowledge with stable npcs to start a convo and get their amity. I can't buy horse gears so sprint, charge etc are pretty useless:')
Odd, you never cover much about the controlling the horse. A horse can walk, trot and run, I've no idea how to control it, sometimes it does one or the other.
sterious blue conch...fruit of yianaros...brillant crimsom fire flower....all the exact same things....but 3 of em....thus w/every other event items....it forces u 2 buy extra storage....heck y not make 10 items of the same thing w/10 different names soooo we can buy even more storage space....i mean lets get real stupid w/this....rlly....
for fast trainer xp you do not want to lvl up wilds. thats a waist of time. simply catch them and sell right away to the stables. you get far more xp now with the T6 wilds just for turning them in. the faster you catch and flip the faster you lvl up training. telling noobs to auto loop lvl mounts for xp will waist SO much time for lvling training LMAO

Very good point!!
And thanks :)

Best vid I’ve found to cover all the horse information along with links to specific videos of interest! Keep up the great work!
Thanks!

BDO is a ton of fun man, game has improved a LOT
Dottz, you make the best guides! Thanks for all your hard work and effort.
My pleasure:)
Truly, this guy deserves so much more recognition and subs, guides that get the same views as his aren't nearly as good or high quality
Thanks man :)

Thats a 100 hours of grinding per horse….
Doom horse can boost 3 times. If you race with guildmates during guild boss nights that is the horse you want.

Glad it helped
I somehow got a tier 8 courser as my 3rd horse, I’m so confused on how I got it but at last I know how valuable it is now
I have a question about gear..what is the best gear to use on your dream horse Doom does it matter much

You spam space after the horse raises its legs

Feeding lump of sugar can be skip if you are too lazy, just wait around 30 to 35 second before mounting
True, it can be skipped, no problem. 👍
Personally still use the lumps of sugar just to keep track of the time.
Does auto sprint increase exp while autopathing?
when attempting dream horse, do you lose your stack when you retreive your horse?
not 100% sure, i wanna say no but i used a spare horse when doing my dream horse training
love it ty dottz

Hi~may i know you PC spec~
So in this game, you really use and ride horses 😃😃🐴

The real question is, do I need to throw money at horse breeding?
Mythical Doom when 🐌
