    Lately came across your channel. I built my 43 40 yrs ago and drove it a lot till 15 yrs ago. It and Dads42 sat 15 yrs in a 40 ft container, You've helped a lot on reminding the things to do to revise them.

    I prefer bending cotter pins just enough on one leg so there's no risk of them falling out and leave the other leg straight ... makes it so much easier to remove and re-use them ... but I wonder how the original's were installed? .. I bet more "C" Shaped like you did them.

    Hi, will that carb fit a willys whippet with a jeep manifold?

    Is there any video on how to clean m38 carburetor?

    The restriction your calling a diffuser made no sense until I saw an old original gasket with the cone shaped screen. The "diffuser" is just a support structure for the screen. Newer gaskets got rid of the screen but not the screen support.

    Any issue reusing a gasket when replacing a carburetor?

    Lovely Carb ! And it a rare thing to see a split pin installed correctly. Why is the engine block not grey in this Jeep ? Or is that only for Ford GPWs.

      @TeamG503  5 лет назад +1

      This engine is an mb engine. Ford Engines got the Grey👍

      @@TeamG503So my Willy's engines are the correct colour , and only the GPW is grey, I thought that may be the case, cheers!

      @42Peep'sMotorpool Very many thank for this info, I know a friend bought a new in crate GPW engine that was grey, but it was only the engine, no transmission, so that bit was pure guesswork , funny how we are only now, 70 years later finding out the finer points of our Jeep. Chris B.

      @42Peep'sMotorpool : And fun it is, this link is really fantastic information, I have been looking for a reference to a fuel gauge I have on one of my Jeeps that has "GAS" on the face have not seen this before, most have "Fuel" written on them.

    • @RFJP_G503

      Englishman French GAS gauge would be most correct for Slat Grill 1941 Willis MB 👍👍

    Surprised they don't have those stupid split/'lock' washers on those carb studs. They put them everywhere else on those jeeps. (Guess they didn't yet know that that they don't do anything.)
