  • Rex Engineering presents: The Hot Toys Batmobile that I waited for so long... 1/6 MMS694 Unboxing
    Brand: Hot Toy:
Model: 1989 Keaton Batman (2nd Issue)
    Item number: MMS694
    Scale size: 1/6
As a kid growing up in the 80's one of the first block buster movie watched in the cinema was the 1989 Batman, and the Keaton Batmobile left an unforgettable presence/impression even til this day, always wanted one of these Hot Toys Batmobile however my ex wife didn't allow that to happen, and you know what's the first purchase I made after the divorce? Yep you guessed it! pre-ordering the Hot Toys re-issue of the 1989 Batmobile and after just over a year of waiting it finally turned up, still waiting for the new keaton Batman figure though...
For those don't know, here's the Hot Toys 1989 re-issue issues lol:
    1. The Scale issue, this Batmobile measured @ approximately 100cm, if being 1/6 scale of the real Batmobile then it will have to at least 110cm
    2. MMS694 doesn't have the cocoon shell
    3. Still uses 3x AA batteries for the lighting features
    4. Price increased compared to the 1st edition MMS170
Well all the above mentioned didn't bother me, as having the presence and the stance of the model is enough for me, for the diehard fans of the 1989 Batmobile who's after everything being scale correct then you probably have to turn to Batmobile by Jazzinc and you will probably have to pay 3x the price of the MMS694 by the time you are finished with shipping/taxes etc etc
Getting back to RUclips after some life changing events, these videos will mark the beginning of our new channel which will be car and life related, still trying to learn and improve as much as I could, thank you for watching and your support will be much appreciated

Think the acting of Keaton as well as the design of the 1989 Batmobile that really make the movie pop, thanks for the sub man : )

Thank you, despite it’s short comings I really think it’s a great model to own, I haven’t had the pleasure of owning the first edition so I can not compare the two, but I do know their packaging size has decreased significantly by using polystyrene as well as that the second edition doesn’t have the cocoon shell anymore which I didn’t care much about anyways… think you will love the model when you receive yours, thanks for your support for our small channel

So a 1/6 scale figure should fit… a 12” Batman isn’t that hard to find. Just select a good one.
