I can definitely see the difference, and now I'm torn. I had told myself I was only gonna get the Hot toys batmobile if I was getting the Jazzinc Batwing. I have the Batwing coming in January and I have the Hot toys 89 batmobile on pre-order but now that I'm about to make the final shipping payment on the batwing I may decide to cancel my hot toys pre-order and get the Jazzinc 89 batmobile.
I totally understand what you mean. I used to have the HT version that they released a few years ago and convinced myself at first to just get the Batwing. But as time when on and Jazzinc kept talking about the details of their version I just couldn’t resist. If you end up canceling your HT version hopefully you won’t loose to much from the deposit.
If I may say, I would cancel the Hot Toys and pick up the Jazzinc. It's so much nicer and will compliment your Batwing much better. Think of it practically too...the Jazzinc will skyrocket in price and be much harder to attain later on whereas the Hot Toys probably won't sell out right away. Better to buy the Jazzinc now and sell it if you change your mind than buy the Hot Toys and have the opposite predicament.
Yes that is true. I saw they announced it today. More people want it but want to get out of the holidays first. Its cool Joost made the change for them and took a chance
Beautiful piece. So the pre-order will be around til the 14th of Jan? That would definitely work out for me since I spent a grip for the holidays. Solid vid
@@sovxrgn Thanks for the comment. I saw that on the Jazzinc comment section of the 89 batmobile preorder site that they gave an exact closing date. It will close on Jan 12
Jazzinc is better but it doesn't matter that much hottoys is pretty good for the price figures now are $500 + so geiing this massive detailed car for 700 is a pretty good deal
I highly doubt Jazz inc is going for that gun metal look you want on account of them prioritizing 1989 over 1992. Especially when you take into account that the closest "Returns" came to including an iconic Batmobile introduction scene is the Bat-missile. I personally like the tinted bronze rims from the first film and hope they keep that in. As for the body paint job? If they were to opt for a shiner darker tone I would hope that their decision to do so would be similar to why it was done for the 1966 Batmobile. The silver accents (with the exception of the bats) most definitely need to be overlayed with a darker tone in order to match the motion picture version. This despite those same accents appearing silver in the original promos that were likely the result of lighting, post-production or both.
No, Jazzinc won’t be making the armor plating. They did say that because there was so much support for the car with so many people preordering that they will do a custom art box with built-in corner protectors, a cool custom styled Styrofoam and velcro straps with their logo instead of tape. Maybe that “cool” custom styrofoam could be in the shape of the armor. Who knows.
Hi All. Are these photos the correct aspect? Jazzinc is about 10 cm longer, however the width and height dimensions are basically the same from what I can find for both. However in these photos the Jazzinc looks much wider. Both are around 40 cm wide from what I can find and the same height.
I missed the deadline on both the JazzInc Batwing and '89 Batmobile, those are the two vehicles that I craved for since 1989. I am sure no one will sell theirs unless they really have to.
You can try joining the waitlist. Maybe it’s too late for the batwing but Im sure there will be people that pre ordered the Batmobile that will end up canceling once its time to pay it in full. That is how I was able to get the Justice League Batmobile.
The Batman 89 Batmobile is definitely one of the most iconic Batmobiles. Presumably going on to influence the Batman Animated Series Batmobile design. I don't collect vehicles, but the JazzInc one looks great. Have you considered getting that one Batman statue with Batman on the Batbike by XM Studios?
I was actually thinking about the XM Studios Batbike the other day. I really like it, but the price was a bit much, at least where I have found it. It definitely looks very nice in a collection. How about you?
@@BatmanCollectorDad I collect smaller stuff usually. Figures and smaller statues, my biggest are two statues of Cryptosporidium from the Destroy All Humans remakes. Jazzinc.....! Really payed close attention to detail & measurements of this 1989 batmobile model 🦇 . First when I heard joost talking about what he was going to do, I really don't pay that much attention to him. I thought it was just going to be a few minor differences nothing major. So I was just gonna go with Hot Toys 🔥 batmobile version. But man jazzinc really knocked it out the ball park with this one, this is the best work he has done yet! I'm not even sure that they will be able to top this one? This 1989 batmobile is super amazing, there's nothing jazzinc will be able to do to beat this. It will take years before they come up with something better than this! Hands down no questions asked⁉️ I'am so glad I came too my senses & pre-ordered my jazzinc model. I'm still going to get hot toys 🧸 version also because I like how hot toys did their version, & also it will be a great comparison by having them both. But jazzinc steals the show this time. Maybe hot toys will fire back & make there "8" more realistic version & out do jazzinc's..!? Who knows?! But if hot toys do I will be there to get that one!!!!
Yeah the company went above and beyond for this one. A lot of it had to do with the level of support they got from people preordering. The more support they got the more stuff and details they were able to add to the vehicle. I’m glad Jazzinc was able to get that level of support for this car because that is my favorite Batmobile. Either this month or next month they will be starting a new poll for the community to vote for the next Batmobile for them to make. Its going to be between 3 vehicles. The Arkham Knight Batmobile , the 1997 Batmobile and the Animated Series one. I personally don’t care for either of them except the animated series but then that one doesn’t really have a lot of detail, not like the Arkham Knight one of the 97 version. But I don’t like those very much. Not enough to pay the high price they will go for. If they someday say they will make the Batman Returns version I will definitely get it.
@BatmanCollectorDad I would love to see them do the 1992 batman animated series batmobile. Just because I love the rims on the wheels of the animated batman series, & that distinctive color that the batmobile has. Jazzinc is going to have to upscale a few things to make it fit into reality of the real world 🌎, especially the cockpit. But if Jazzinc could add his on pizazz in the right places while keeping the batmobile to the animated series it should look pretty "NICE". Another reason why Jazzinc should do this one, because the 1992 animated series is a classic. ALSO WOULD BE NICE IF JAZZINC DID A BATMAN ANIMATED ACTION FIGURE TO GO WITH THE CAR!!??
Yes it is the accurate look to the 89 version as I said in the video. But I always preferred the black colored rims from the sequel Batman Returns. Its a shame companies never seem to give any attention to Batman Returns Batmobile. Its always the 89. I’m still going to have the 89 Jazzinc batmobile on my collection. The cooper color on rims is something that is a minor nit pick only cause I just like it in black more.
@@patientmental875 Well, I have zero knowledge on doing something like that lol. I’m not going to risk ruining the car after spending that much money on it. It doesn’t really bother me that much. It looks good I just prefer the paint job of the Batman Returns version.
It is. They are also build very differently for different audiences. It’s good that there are two different versions with two different price points. It increases the chances for more people have that Batmobile in that scale.
If both Batmobile car are 1/6, then why HT looks smaller, still you can fit Batman fig in there. Looks like HT is not true 1/6 or is ? I heard Jazz Inc did some research and got to the bottom of 89 Batmobile production. Maby, that's why their Batmobile is more likely true 1/6 scale.
HT is not really 1/6. It is under scaled , it has to be longer from the front and more curved. Jazzinc did both, also the color on the car and rims is also off on the HT
@BatmanCollectorDad Yes , HT is still a good model to display with your Batman. I really don't get it why HT Batmobile has greenish lights instead of yellow like the Jaz have. It is like they can't see it is green, not yellow.
@@diecastmodelsnbeyond6354 HT is definitely still a good option. I think HT just cut corners so it be cheaper to make for them. Even with the reissue you can see they continues to cut cost for themselves, the car is the same as the first one but they don’t include the shield or even an art box. Now it’s just the shipper box with a picture of the car printed in it.
Jazzinc is about authenticity - not what looks better. The Batmobile is designed to be as faithful to the 89 as possible so adding 92 colour to the rims etc would be counter productive.

I thought that the Batmobile's headlights were a Honda headlight turned upside down and coated with Yellow Candy Paint.
Yes, the real Batmobile from the movie had Honda civil headlights turned up side down and were painted yellow and the tail lights were from a Ferrari.
