I enjoy everything you did. My one critique is the top of the canopy. It should narrow more towards the front center. 30 years of inaccurate Ertl diecast, AMT models, Richman Toys, and Hot Toys have ruined our perspective of the canopy. That, and the optical illusion of flat photos. But if you've ever seen the car in person, the canopy at Planet Hollywood, or Anton Furst's sketches from production you'd know what I'm talking about. Jazz Inc nailed it on their 1:6 if you get a chance to see it.
No man,i welcome critques. I love hearing feedback. You are 100% correct....I actually took that into account when building it. But found that if i did narrow the front more the window glass would contort to much.it left a wierd crease in it so i added mor bondo and widened a smidge. Keep in mind if i had a 3D printer it woulsmd have been super easy to make all one piece and windows wouldnt have been a problem. I done it all by hand with around the house materials which limited me a bit. Thank you for watching.
Hey are you going to add LED lighting for headlights and tail lights, plus exhaust? One guy who was very handy at modeling disassembled a remote control car and installed 2 small electric motors and did an electric RC Car conversion with steering and rubber tires Z (But yes it drives slow) - and still had room for adding dual seats for 7” McFarlane figures and put a series 52 Rebirth Batman and a Cat Woman sitting side by side. You know that cost a lot of money, time and patience. Wow, to be So Handy like that… What it is, I think is he put the body on to an extended remote control car base.
I dont think i will with this one, before i customized this,i had taken a old richmann 89 batmobile rc body and made a chassis, cockpit, opening canopy, and front and back LEDs. Although i do like the look of the lights. The thing about mcfarlanes is all the inaccuracys. One major is the headlights,or rather the nose around the lights is not curved right.of coarse they did it on the cheap to save on tooling cost.
You did a great job on that, especially the canopy! I'm thinking of ordering one and the canopy is the only thing that really bothers me. Did you repaint the whole thing as well or is that the factory matte plastic/finish? Almost looks satin
@@ramsesosirus ,thank you! Ive actually redone the canopy yet again to make it even more accurate lol. Its a total repaint. I used rustoleum ultra matte black. Its near perfect. Not to dull but gives off a nice sheen.
I love how the guns port and cover turned out. I'm doing the same myself based on your experience. However, I don't see the need the need to improve the turbine/jet engine unless you pose it outside like in repair mode. I think the most important changes are the canopy shape and cockpit. It has to be converted into a dual seater. Adding lights is also a must
Thank you! Yeah the turbine was more of a see if i can do it type thing lol. I rarely display it out. I desided to go ahead and make it a 2 seater.check out my other video of that
Incredible work!!!! And you made the molds too! I have to echo everone else burning question, are you makeing custom heads? I know SO many peopke who would love to customize these themselves but just eant a Blank Head to work with! Great work brother!!!!
Amazing work on this as usual. Great attention to detail. The 1989/1992 Batman movies are my absolute favorite. I love that you are taking the time to work with these things and make them better and more accurate. Really impressive, thank you for sharing.
I made it. I made a mold of my mezco, cast in resin. Slowly, carefully, sawed the neck where i wanted the joint to be.makeing sure not to take to much off i dremeled the bottom of the cowl and the inside of the head.the neck has to narrowed just a smidge to acomadate the head but it has all the range of motion of the original without looking ridiculousy out of proportion.
Thank you! I use rustoleum ultra matte black. It covers great! Just be sure to wet sand the body with 1000 grit. And after you paint to let it sit for atleast 2 days to harden up. The ultra matte has a great sheen. Its not to shinny or dull.
@@charlesalexanderjr2247 You definitely nailed the sheen! Out of all of the paint jobs on the McFarlane customs, yours looks just like the movie. Did you wet sand by hand or or use a Dremel? How many times did you wet sand? Haven't modified any toy vehicles before, but your videos inspired me to give it a try. I'm waiting for my CAG set from Ramen Toys because I wouldn't be able to alter the canopy myself lol
@@connected5756 ,id definately wet sand by hand. I only used 1000 on the body to avoid any deep scratchs in the plastic. The cag set does lokk really good. @@andreshuerta1024,i used 1/8th inch expanded pvc....its an absolutely great material. I just discovered it a few years back. Its easy to cut,you can add panel lines easily, its flexible but rigid. And the best part is it reletively cheap.i buy it in 4×8 sheets for around 60 bucks. The hinge could also be made out of polystyrene sheet to.would work just as well. The main pivit/ hinge point acutally protrudes back behond the top cover itself to allow for the amount of range it needs to extend upward.
Hi Charles what’s the best way to replace the rear taillight lenses I’m useing 3mm red LEDs I want to get some red lenses any suggestions on where I can find some.😂
