- It seems both LEGO 2K Goooal! & Year 2 of LEGO 2K Drive might be canceled. A developer at 2K has implied that LEGO 2K Drive was not a success, leading to speculation that a Year 2 is unlikely to happen. Furthermore, 2K has confirmed that they are eliminating several projects in development. The leaked LEGO 2K Goooal! soccer game could be one of them.

Inside dev here, what this dev said about 2k drive is completely unrelated from 2k goooal. whilst they are both published by 2k, 2k is not a developer. just the publisher.
The studio making 2k goooal has nothing to do with 2k drive and is not dependent on its success.

I think Lego 2K drive is like a popularity reversal of among us because lego 2K drive started off popular but ended up with no one caring about it anymore as of among us it started out with no popularity whatsoever but ended up really popular
The fact that season 4 made almost everything available in the store upfront is welcome but could be an omen not much more new content is coming.
I’m still waiting on more specific bricks that can’t be obtained, hope they release them all eventually if not in the premium drive passes.
Unfortunately I don't think anymore updates are coming to the game.
How sad... I had enjoyed 2K Drive, despite the microtransactions, I found a way to easily farm the brick bux.
Too bad I had bought the version of "Awesome Rivals" edition.
But let's hope year 2 isn't cancelled.

Not surprised at all: way too poor player base, too difficult for children, too easy/boring for nostalgic adults.
I was waiting for a great Lego Racers 3 sequel, instead we got something pointless

They are like the creators of *"Fall Guy's"* having trouble where they lay off Lot's of worker's from *"Media Tonic"*
Yes they supposedly signed a deal for 3 games, with 2K Drive and Goooal! being the 1st two.
I think popularity would last longer if cross play would be across every single platform it was made for
Like among us have 2 different platforms
Mobile devices and Nintendo switch and it’s developers have cross play between both versions this was easy because it only have only 2 platforms but 2K drive it have way more platforms
So if they first released it on all of the platforms who had cross play and released the Nintendo switch version later on maybe that version would also get cross play and thus would make it more popular
The other versions of the game would need to get downgraded to have Crossplay with Switch. Switch only supports 6 players per race, while the other versions have 8.
@@QuickBrickGames i ment if the Nintendo switch would be coming later on there could be a cross play mode with 6 players only as well as a normal mode with the full 8 player races

@@QuickBrickGames there’s a chance of that happening but the chances are as low as the player basse is small
But there is also a chance of the problems being solved because all popular cross play games have cross play on every platform they are made for not only some of them
The only reason it might fail is because the Nintendo Switch version doesn’t have cross play and my idea to help save 2K is to add a 6 player cross play mode on top of all the already existing features
That way they can choose to play with Nintendo Switch players only for 8 players or go on cross play mode and go with 6 players instead
Grew up with legos so i love the company. I started playing this month with my little sister as a co op game to play. Thought I outgrew games like this but naw, super fun, amazing mechanics. Love to create my own cars, made a Ferrari and Lamborghini, fire design I say for myself. Glad I found a RUclipsr that covers this game as we are a small community 😅. Keep it up 🎉

We all know the real reason why 2k drive failed was because it was outrageously overpriced😔 It is a awesome game tho

I'd say yes you can get it for like $35-40.
Let’s be honest, 2K making lego games now is the problem. Cash grab micro transaction simulators. TT made the best lego games.
2K making LEGO games does affect TT Games though. The 2K games are just additional games to enjoy :)
