For what it's worth I believe you mentioned @1:45 its 304 stainless and then @ 6:08 you mentioned its 409 stainless.

Love this site and sound/install videos. Clear and thorough data. MUCH appreciated. As for this particular muffler, Flowmaster really shouldn't call it direct fit if you have to cut your factory pipe.

You did a similar video for the Magnaflow direct muffler replacement. Is either the Flowmaster or Magnaflow noticably louder or deeper?

I wish your video would have used the flow master 1 1/4” measurement recommendation from the weld ring for the cutoff on the OEM muffler so you retain the option to go back to the factory muffler easier. I followed your video but wish i would have given myself an extra 1/2 to 3/4” if original pipe left on the OEM muffler to use a 3” couple if i want to use it again in the future. Otherwise the video was great. Thanks!

Wouldn't that make it so the flowmaster wouldn't fit because the remaining pipe would be that much shorter?

Anybody else have a hard time removing 16 mm bolts on flange. I’m using an impact gun but they will not budge sprayed with wd 40

@T Schnell I have had my 2022 Ram 1500 for 3 months now, and I have been researching religiously for the exact exhaust note that I'm looking for. I like the deep throaty sound of the Borla exhaust. Also, because I love classic muscle cars, the 14" Cherry Bomb 💣 glass pack sounds great also. That being said, because I am cheap I spoke to a local shop in town, and they will do a muffler delete for $150. So I will start there.

I had this on my 2018 ram 1500 and I loved it. It seemed to get a little louder once it broke in. I'm gonna put one on my 2021 after winter.

*WASTE OF MONEY*........MDS when active "KILLS" the beautiful sound (WHICH IS 75% OF THE TIME). When the 5.7 Hemi's MDS activates, your RAM sounds like your driving a BUSTED 4 CYLINDER MAZDA!!!!

Just set gear limiter to 8 and mds doesn’t kick in ever.

On the 2019 and up RAM's, you have to get an all NEW ECM that has been retuned with the MDS deleted....(very pricey option)
