The Borla systems always got a good tone of sound, not loud enough to piss off your neighbours but loud enough for your own enjoyment. This feature is much needed especially nowadays when they're all tightening up their belts to cite you on anything for a cash grab... Also the off center exhaust tip seems very common for this brand.
The Borla S-Type is my favorite exhaust. I have it on my Mustang and I'll be adding it to my next vehicle. Most likely a Ram 1500 Bighorn with the 5.7 Hemi. Great video. Lots of sound clips. 👍👍
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have literally watched many videos looking for the best sound for the Borla S type muffler. Best Buy far was the best quality sounding video. Even after watching professional ones. Thank you again. I’ve decided I will get it for my ram as well. I’m so excited.
That's so awesome to hear, thank you!! Im glad I could actually help out. It's definitely an amazing sounding system. Funny though, my truck is now straight piped but its still not too loud!
I have the Corsa sport exhaust system on my 2020 ram Rebel truck and I love it . This Borla s-type really has my interest as well .🤔 there’s no drone at all ?? That’s great news .
@@theupscale7130 Im thinking of getting an s-type for my 2011 silverado if i can get over the $1000 sticker shock or ill just get a borla crate s-type or atak muffler & add my own dual tail pipes for less than half the cost! but my question is how are those exhaust clamps, ive read where the flowmaster & magnaflow clamps that come with there kits are garbage ✌
I always wondered if mds prematurely wears out the 4 pistons/rings it runs on over the life of the vehicle . Guess cylinder deactivation is too new yet to know?
That's true. I heard they buffed up the walls but you make a good point. There are tuners that allow you to select it permanently off if you'd like, which is cool
That is very true. I like Corsa's tips, but its cool that it says Borla on top though lol Also thankfully I got the exhaust for, i wanna say like 800-900 off of Summit Racing, they did a price match!
Great video! Do you get the sense that the S&B cold air intake changed the sound at all? I've heard people say that a CAI changed their exhaust tone. Thanks!
Mine were doing the same thing. I said fuck it, one day, got my milwaukee impact and tightened the fuck out of the clamps, and now they're good. I think they just kept getting loose from all the extra bald eagles lol. Try really tightening the hell out of those band clamps. So far, its been good ever since i tightened them down. Hope that helps! Give it a try and let me know. Or you can always get them tacked in place with spot welds?
@@theupscale7130 I don’t really wanna get it welded but I’m gonna try tightening it more. The place where I got it installed said they might have to cut and re weld it which I’d rather not do. So I’m just gonna try fixing it myself. Thanks
just in general when u drive it is just respond quick and pop when it change gears! have u done anything else other that just the intake ? because i have the borla s-type with Ram air intake .
I've taken it to the dealer for other issues ive had, and they haven't said anything about the intake or exhaust. There's even a law that basically says unless the mod is the direct cause of the issue, then the dealer can refuse warranty work. I actually even emailed a GM for the dealer i go to and even he said the same thing. Basically have fun with it. There's no harm that comes with either of these mods.

Yeah i still have it on. I still genuinely like it! Honestly even the atak i wouldn't mind either. I thought it was going to drone, but its amazingly quiet when driving along normal
