If you put together a wood frame that’s slightly taller and wider than your cape gooseberry and cover it in clear plastic you can put it over the plant and it will stop it getting frost damaged. Just love your podcast I know the struggle you face when clearing land I used to have a smallholding just over an acre and it is such hard work but you will get there! Love the pigs they are great for clearing land but make such a mess 😊 looking forward to following your progress😊
So lovely to discover the makes of previous generations. We cleared 2 hectares of brambles about 5 years ago and made a giant compost pile with them , left them for a year to decompose and then used them as mulch in the garden. Good luck xx
winch the root out, put a strop around the largest part of the root and pull them out.. you have a power bank engine hoist would do the job, or a come along hand winch.. doing a grand job! its looking good,,
Comfrey is excellent for citrus and you can make a salve for sore joints or muscles but the root is even more potent. It has a deep tap root so you won’t kill the plant if you take some root. Put the leaves at the base of citrus or better still plant near the citrus.
Awesome video !!! Just noticed Pepa and Magie are growing nicely 😊 and garlic is looking nice… ready for next year. nice rock - Punta Tortuga - for the frost on your vegy garden you should build a DIY heating system - can go few ways about it - a solar heated and fire heated (small stove fire ) - basically you run a bunch of small diameter pipes in the rows of the garden - can be baried maybe 2 inches deep - old copper line for gas should be the best but copper is not cheap - i guess a plastic / rubber will be fine - since you probably won't get the water that hot -you only need to warm up the area -15 degrees not boiling - the small stove heats up a coild of (copper pipe ) that feeds the hot water and circulate it through the garden then cools down at the ends comes back gets warm etc - you could most likeley keep it for few hrs untill you go to bed then i believe it should keep the frost off (maybe put small stones under the pipe that would soak up the hit and stay worm a bit longer)- there are few video's on that on you tube that explains it better than i just try to explain not very well - any way good luck with the digger engine hope it works

Great work! My 2 cents: you should think of investing in a tiller (magna tal-hart). you can till the mulch into the land, increasing the organic material in the soil which will decompose and fertilize the land. You could also incorporate the ash into the land as a fertilizer if you burn the brambles. It would also make farming the land easier, preparing the land for sowing seed/growing veg. Tilling the land also aerates, accelerating aerobic organic decomposition of vegetable material. Also would recommend constructing your burning bushes over the base of the trees you fell. This kills the rootstock and prevents it from re-emerging in the future(if that's your intention anyway). Cheers
Try RUclips we had issues with our golf's not starting sometimes for years, no one could fix it, turns out it was a fuse, not the coloured one but that work with the computer, it was a very easy fix that apparently no one else could do 🤔
