I'm getting a neo and keeping my fingers crossed that DJI allow us to reduce sharpness in the phone app soon. I shoot a lot of social media content so Im vertical 100%. I don't want the controller as I carry so much equipment and don't have the spare mental calories to set one up for 2-3 seconds of footage
Im conflicted , really like it ( ex mini 2 owner ) stay in Scotland so it would be rare days where conditions would suit or on holiday . Well priced I suppose .
Is there return to home when you use the RC? I've read about it not having rth when used with the phone or the quick shot modes but couldn't find an aswer if return to home is a thing with the Neo at all?
@dominichayles I haven't purchase yet but still contemplating. My reservation is due to the video quality without using the controller but sadly not many videos online shows how to get the best footage out of the standard NEO with the the phone
Maybe they will add option to change graphic setup with future updates .. i will Ask my friends that Has RC n2 to pair neo for a moment to Fox sharpnes but ...
Hi Dominic, I don't have the remote, but if by any chance I changed the settings using a remote, would they remain the same at -2 sharpness and -1 NR even if I use a mobile device to control it afterward?
@@baxterboy123yt personally if it was me, I would get the mini 3 after using both drones… it’s a case of having that extra camera quality, vertical shooting and better wind resistance that makes it an easy choice 🔥
When modifying image settings (lower sharpness and noise reduction) in manual mode as you mentioned, do those settings carry over to other operating methods (no control using only quick shots or when using your phone)? Or do those setting only apply when using the one of the RC's?
Sadly it only applies to those modes (for now). I believe by popular demand, we will see an update in the coming weeks that offers this in all modes once it is set 🙏
Very clear video and advice - thanks for the detailed review, which will help me make my mind up.
So glad, thank you! 💫
Man like Dominic 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Lets gooo 🙌
What’s crazy is it’s cheap enough to take a punt on but also the second generation neo will undoubtedly be an instant buy.
Agreed! DJI will no doubt make this series incredible 🔥

I hope so too, along with 4:3 shooting. Yeah a big plus is the 135g weight 🫡
HoverAir X1 shoots in vertical
An excellent review. Really useful!
@@factormaxlondon1365 thanks Alan, it’s a great little gadget 🙌

If you don't mind, why did you get rid of the mini 2?

@@nAcolz I believe it works with the RC just not on the other modes as you mentioned 🙏💫
What about white balance and ISO?? Auto?? Thanks for the reply
Yeah auto white balance for most of this, Iso no higher than 400
Great footage you got there Dominic. Sadly it doesn't apply to me because I have no intention of getting the controller.
Glad you liked the footage, how have you found the Neo so far? 🫡

@@YasithaKasthuri I don’t believe so as currently you can’t change the quick shot settings 🙏
Do you recommend a neo fly more combo for £300, or save a bit more and get a mini 3 with RC for £459 (maybe less on a discount)?

@@dominichayles Awesome! Hopefully they update sooner than later. Thanks for the quick response!
I will change my mind and buy if video quality and phone only settings are customizable. Same level as with controller
Does the sharpness setting saved if using next without the RC?
Currently it does not, really hope that changes in an update 🫡
Love it
