You have to service your own equipment .The time and money saved is worth it .
It’s always a good idea to keep up on your maintenance. You paid a lot of money for the equipment and you want it to last and perform the best that it can. Thanks for the interview with the Minnesota Mechanic. There is always more to learn.
He was a super cool dude John. Everyone I have ever met from Minn has been very nice
Hi Joe - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. Like many aspects of life, things seem to be bigger and greater in the US of A. That includes rain with a capital R - I thought we knew all about downpours but we seldom get that volume of water here in the Emerald Isle! I imagine it's a condition of the extended warranty that have your tractor serviced professionally. You wouldn't want to blow that insurance policy just to save a couple of bucks doing your oil change. I guess your next purchase with be a cordless greasegun - and maybe a pair of glasses to read that Service Manual!!
LOL... I need to read that thing one day!
Thanks Joe. I did have a GREAT day.
Thanks Jim!
Good show Joe. Hey that rhymed. I just wanted to share something with ya that I learned from Tony @ Tony's Tractor Adventures. He greases his tractor every fuel fill up. Which a tank of fuel lasts about 10 hours. That kinda simplifies it. Joel seemed like a jolly fellar.
That does sound like a good idea Dean. I think I will do that.
Funny when you pulled the Griswold phone stunt. Get me somebody, and get me somebody while I’m waiting.
Price of peace.
LOL Thanks Tom!
Another good show. Joel was very professional. Back when I worked in the woods our log skidders got oil check in the AM before start up and then fueled and greased at night.
Some of the stories he told were very interesting. Definitely not on the same level of what I'm doing with the Bobcat.
Great video, and here comes more rain again
Rain rain rain. Ugh
Great video Joe, your humor is Awesome. Have a Safe Day
Thanks Dave. Fun is job 1!
Good video, Joel is a super guy with fantastic service truck.
Couldn't agree more!
Tooooo cute - interesting, too, but so entertaining!! You took something that could have been a little boring & made it fun. Love your videos!!!
Thanks Dianne! We are having a lot of fun filming them!
@@ohiowoodburner It shows!! Great job 😀
That’s my brother! ❤️
Super cool dude!
Put the phone away and read the manual. LOL You did that so good to get us to pay attention
LOL Thanks John!
You take care of your equipment and it will take care of you!! Good video! Have a great day!! 👍
The same can be said for wives too Jim!!! LOL
Joe hi, I did the right thing by entrusting my tractor to professionals👍 as we say, a miser pays twice
Very good words Viktor!
Great video Joe. Mobile service is the way to go So people think it's too expensive to use a service like that but the reality is that once you factor in the time to transport to and from the service location a lot of times it's actually cheaper, more efficient and less downtime. I know one of the things I always struggle with is paying for service stuff I know I can handle myself but I have learned that it's one leas thing to deal with and I can utilize my time better.
Good morning from Lone Grove Oklahoma my friend! Great video as always!
Hi there Brandon!
Service man Joel is top notch. I see a garage work shop in your future. A place to park some equipment inside out of the weather. And so you can service it at your leisure.
That would be cool!
What was that price for that service 🤔 😳
That service manual looks rather pristine, Joe. I suspect it was in the plastic bag it came in up until that clip for the video was shot. LOL. Not to many dealers would offer onsite service and repair work for their equipment. No doubt, you are dealing with a great dealer.
Mobile mechanics are great but can be costly!
You have to pay to be cool though... LOL
Yup my dad use to say a grease gun is your best mechanic . Good video Mr. Ohio Wood Burner
Thank you Mark!
Your videos make me think of the humor Chevy chase or John candy used to do. Getting a real knack for the camera!
LOL... I was channeling Chevy... or maybe Leslie Nielson.
Hi to Joel! Right down the road in Mazeppa
Small world!
I've been through mazeppa many times, its beautiful down there
That's my baby!!
Thanks! LOL
Minnesota boys in the house lol great video joe
Thanks Sam!
Hey Joe, your comedian talent is hilarious!👍😅
Greetings from Germany ✌
!!!HEY!!! Go Minnesota!!!
Very cool…. Great work
Thank you very much!
That maintenance manual looks way to clean to me. Oh that's right, you are constantly being interrupted by phone calls.
LOL I need to put the ringer on silent!
I bought a Lincoln grease gun couple years ago. They are nice to have.
I wonder how pricey they are. It looked super easy to run
Awesome to see, take care of it & it will last a long time!
Good job Joe!
That's the plan!
Hey Buddy! Just want to add a helping thought. My equipment runs 8 hrs a day 5-6 days a week. I ALWAYS use Arcoil friction modifier in all my engines. It makes them run longer and smoother. With the cost of diesel repairs you should consider it... Be well my friend!
Your machines get more work in one week than mine has since I've owned it! LOL
not going to lie, that really is the quickest ive ever seen a tent put up. haha. great content Joe.
It is my one super power!
Gotta love zert fittings!! I was once told you can’t wear out a machine that makes its own oil but that’s a long story. Don’t forget to lube your Supersplit!!
I just tuned it up last week before all this heat came in. !!
Hello so if I get this right .. he changed oil and filter of the motor .... changed both filter of the hydrolic but not the oil of the hydrolic , greased all zerks 16 on the loader , 2 on the front axle and where are the 2 other ? and changed oil of the front axles .... ?
Grease gun is the best tool in the tool box Joe😁
I think you are right Paul.
Lubrication is the most important thing besides fluid level
Agree with you Jeff!
Doing it yourself saves money but paying local businesses help local economy. Always liked doing everything myself but found out that I didn’t have time for myself. It pays to out source some work to keep your sanity and keep from getting burned out. Remember it’s not work if you enjoy what you’re doing. Keep on enjoying your work and making great videos!
Thanks Ron...very good words to live by!
Doesn't matter how you do it, just get it serviced (and greased) regularly
Nothing wrong with paying someone do do the work for you at times.. Dont know about you but I can be a little more productive doing what I do than working on the truck or other equipment I have..
Also again thanks for the humor..
Very true Dan. I probably will do the next service my self but it was nice to see a pro do it
Something I learned 65 years ago is more true today than ever before. Read The Manual (cleaned up for RUclips). You'll be astonished at what you learn.
Indeed JM. Thanks for watching!
I just reached 50 hours on my CT4050. I called my dealer to set up for the 50 hour service at my home. I was shocked to get the estimate for this service. With the travel and labor fees it was going to be just over $1,200. I will have to do this myself. I understand that it is time etc. but that was just way more than I expected. What did your dealer charge for your service.
Did you retorque the loader mount bolts? They have a tendency to loosen a bit.
I torque as needed, I inspected machine off camera. Depends on machine application also. They do rattle a smidgen😂
@@joelruder2857 Hey Joel! On my ct2025 50 hr service my dealer gave me 6 gallons of transmission/differential fluid. Is that all the same fluid for front axle and hst/transmission?
I love your sense of humor, "hang on I have a call" 🤣 P.S. your the one with the accent Joe!!
LOL Jason. There is one thing that is an objective truth in this world. People from Ohio do not have an accent!!! LOL
I don't hear my accent, bOat, gOat, bAg, nope still don't hear it😂
@@joelruder2857 from "WESCONSEN" I don't hear it eethar
Hey Joe... Great video detailing your tractor maintenance by a professional. I'd love to have someone do it for me. I just wouldn't like the bill.
There is certainly an increase to have them send the tech to you.
G'day Joe, you've both got accents 😜🇦🇺.
LOL!!
Joe, what kind of pop-up tent do you have - the red one? Thanks
I haven't a clue of the brand name. I got it on sale at a sporting goods store a couple years ago
@@ohiowoodburner Ok, thanks. It looked sturdy. See you Sunday 😊 hopefully, if we have electricity/a house - here comes Ida!! 😬
Some nice humour and banter there Joe ☎️🤣. You seem to be getting a lot of rain for summer time or is that about the norm?
All it does is rain Honda. Ugh
So if the front diff oil (75w-90’he said) is the same as the transmission differential fluid in the rear that means I’ve found the answer to the elusive question of what grade the transmission differential fluid is that even my dealer couldn’t tell me
I'm not sure Travis but I do have a bottle of Bobcat brand Transmission/Differential fluid. Part number is 6687120 for a quart.
What a great video…
Thanks Lars!
Any particular reason the replacement #2 hydrostatic filter was red.?
I haven't a clue. Maybe Joel will be able to answer for us.
@@ohiowoodburner 👍
Great video
Thanks Tim!
Joe you are going to have to leave your phone in the truck next service video!🤣
LOL..!!!
Here in the UK we say the grease gun is the cheapest mechanic!
I think that makes a lot of sense
I like your new video the moming you guys did a good jop this was really cool video the moming love your video have a good say today buddy 🔥
Thanks Travis!
great video
Thanks Drew!
Very entertaining 👏
Thanks Pete!
Better get that book out there ya go lol
I have a phone call!
Really like you canopy. What brand? Love the video
I don't know who makes it. I found it on sale at Dicks one winter. It is about 3 years old and getting a little worn. May be time for a new one
Joe Is see you get a lot of calls during the day . You never showed any of the grease fittings under the machine . Anyway have a great day .
He definitely greased under carriage. Those got edited out for some reason.
think you need one of those battery operated grease guns
They look super cool. Probably too much $$ for me
Hilarious how y'all had so many phone calls today.
LOL...
Is your daughter your videographer? She does a great job! We need to see her in your videos too. Does she do editing of final video?
She is... she is the heart and soul of OWB.
@@ohiowoodburner do you pay her money or just room and board?
She is paid. And all the proceeds from our online sales, shirts, stickers etc go to her to pay for her college. I think she makes more money than me!
I can see Joe buying a battery operated grease gun!!! Lol
Wouldn't that be cool!
I have a battery grease gun and it’s great. I got the Milwaukee since I have other Milwaukee battery tools so the batteries interchange. Highly recommend one!
@@ohiowoodburner oh by the way Joe I think they come with owner Manuel's too!!!! Lol oh my phone's ringing!!! Lol
Joel didnt read Leppo's Customer Response Manual....
He did a great job. Thanks Chris
I read half of it😂
👍👍
Thanks RG!
I'm surprised Joe all the equipment you have and no work shop to work in lol
I have my barn but the power is not working. Too dark inside
O WOW GUYS < BRING RAIN HERE PLEASE > WE WOULD NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT RAIN < BEEN SO VERY DRY HERE 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 MANIOTA CANADA
It was a HUGE rain!

Greasing every 10 hours, I think I would get me a professional grease gun!
That grease gun was super cool. I bet they are pricey however
I grease my Kubota's loader and bucket ever 10 hr's is recommended I picked up the DeWalt battery operated grease gun best purchase you can make.
unbelievable, first thing about owning a tractor is…do your own service and repair work! as cheap as you are you actually paid for a service truck to come out to change the oils, you got to be losing your…!
LOL I think I'm guilty. I can't explain what has happened to me with my work on vehicles. I have been a wrench my whole life and now i don't feel like doing anything maintenance or repair related.
Great video
Thank You!
👍👍
Thanks Tom!
