Even though she's not with us, and I hope she knew she had them in her Earthly time here, Naomi is getting her well-deserved flowers. Especially with these performances. My Mama passed away October 19th. The Rose was one of her favorite songs. She also loved Wynonna and The Judd's. I didn't hear this version until after my Mama's passing. Knowing Wynonna was going through the exact same situation, I sat and just sobbed. This is by far the most beautiful, pure, genuine cover of this song I have ever heard. I know my Mama would have loved it. I'm sure Wynonna's Mama would've thought so as well.
That’s why she has my heart for almost 40 years, from the first time I heard her voice, she represent for me the things that matters most in life. Love you ❤

Ashley with her eloquent and moving words, and Wynonna, as always, with her powerful and searing musical performances. Naomi had so many accomplishments as a songwriter, singer, and author, but it seemed to me her greatest accomplishment as far as she was concerned was raising, on her own mind you, two strong, capable, loving, and powerful women. This evening epitomized the glory of her achievement in that regard, and I think it's so wonderful that these two sisters have each other still. This was the first song that I sang in public. I dedicated the performance to my Mum. Got a standing ovation that night. Went to walk off the stage when I noticed single roses all over the floor of the stage. Sang from my heart and belted out a voice that I never knew I had. This is such a special song. I saw them do that in A-Capella years ago, at Naomi’s prodding, after their final ovation. Came off as totally unplanned. Naomi wanted to thank God for where He brought them & carrying her through hard times. That got a standing O, that continued after they left the stage for good. Powerful.
@@sonneversets3530 wow that's awesome. I never had the honor of seeing them in concert but I certainly had all their records. My Mom was in her 60s in the 80s and she absolutely loved the Judds. Also my daughter who was born in 1992 can sing all their great hits especially Love Can Build a Bridge 🌉 ❤️ 💕. They touched 3 generations of my family and now my baby granddaughter is being introduced to their music 🎶. They are simply timeless ❤️ 💙
@@pattyhaley2949 I was actually working that show for the venue as an usher. Never was much of a country fan, but they sure changed my mind. I was blown away! And I didn’t pay a dime for it! I would have never gone on my own. So really glad I got to experience them like that. I can’t tell you any other song they did. But I’ll never forget that one! Unbelievable how ppl will rush out of a venue during encores, to get to their cars. I never do! So ppl who left during the last one, totally missed that incredible Praise & tribute to God! It took your breath away! The audience was almost silent for the whole thing, until they ROARED after. Both had tears in their eyes by the end of the song, but Naomi more so, during it. With hand raised too...🙌 I’m comforted knowing she is w/Him now. And pray His comfort helps them, knowing that too.🕊 I saw a lot of shows I would have never seen working for different venues. Great way to see some great acts! I don’t do it anymore, but have wonderful memories of the time I did. Several of them would come out to greet the workers after, but they didn’t. When artists have a show the next day, they will move on to it quickly, many times. If they get a break between, they will hang at the venue after the crowds leave. Some do that, regardless... ;) Got some free Ts & CDs. Even autographs on the Ts. Don’t wear them more than a couple times. B/C even tho they use a special marker, it can still fade. So I just keep them. :)

I went back and listened to the early years of both Wynonna's solo career and as the Judds, and while her voice has always been fantastic, it has aged like fine wine! Those guttural deep notes she hits, like in the last performance of 'Love Can Build A Bridge' with Naomi on the roof top, are pure magic and send chills down my spine! To be able to find healing in her music, is truly an inspiration!
Agree. After hearing that last performance I went back and listened to the original and was blown away by how much Wynnona's voice has actually improved IMO.

Having struggled with my own mental health issues, I’m so glad Wynona and Ashley Judd can offer this very public morning/honoring of Naomi’s death/life. I spent a great deal of time in the very same psychiatric hospital as Naomi for intractable (for about 2 years) severe major depression. It’s so hard to “just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow…lies the seed, that with the sun’s love, in spring becomes the Ross.”
There are a few others. Very few. But Streisand did it in a venue I was at in LA, California. And who can forget ❤️🎶 that emotional night wiith Adele. She also did a redo on live television. Just a few.

Not acting like it’s not having any effect. Everyone’s saying how strong they are...Well, I’m sure they’re falling apart behind the scenes. Never be disappointed, or ashamed of showing emotions for a cherished loved one. Poor Naomi could barely get through her last performance in a pretaped song for the CMAs. I’m sure she wouldn’t have been the least bit upset over Wy showing emotion at her devastating loss.

My Mother has been gone for over 10 years and sometimes the loss hits me in the gut and takes my breath. I cannot imagine standing on stage, singing to her this soon after her passing!! This was beautiful and tragic and devastating!

If it had been the average Joe, that got caught! They would have been in prison, for many years. Also the group! The judds have been having farewell tours for many years! My late dad took me to see wynonna in toppenish washington and let me tell you she was one of the best concerts ive ever seen.
Those are two voices I never in a million years would think could work together. But wow. Perfection.

My Mama passed away October 19th. The Rose was one of her favorite songs. She also loved Wynonna and The Judd's. I didn't hear this version until after my Mama's passing. Knowing Wynonna was going through the exact same situation, I sat and just sobbed. This is by far the most beautiful, pure, genuine cover of this song I have ever heard. I know my Mama would have loved it. I'm sure Wynonna's Mama would've thought so as well.

Surely Naomi is at rest and smiling down with love at her two beautiful daughters and the tribute they paid her this evening. Ashley with her eloquent and moving words, and Wynonna, as always, with her powerful and searing musical performances. Naomi had so many accomplishments as a songwriter, singer, and author, but it seemed to me her greatest accomplishment as far as she was concerned was raising, on her own mind you, two strong, capable, loving, and powerful women. This evening epitomized the glory of her achievement in that regard, and I think it's so wonderful that these two sisters have each other still. I so wish you could've had a song that helped you like the song you gave gave me to help me hold on. Especially after the death of my son in August 2020.

This was the first song that I sang in public. I dedicated the performance to my Mum. Got a standing ovation that night. Went to walk off the stage when I noticed single roses all over the floor of the stage. Sang from my heart and belted out a voice that I never knew I had. This is such a special song. Also my daughter who was born in 1992 can sing all their great hits especially Love Can Build a Bridge 🌉 ❤️ 💕. They touched 3 generations of my family and now my baby granddaughter is being introduced to their music 🎶. They are simply timeless ❤️ 💙
@@pattyhaley2949 I was actually working that show for the venue as an usher. Never was much of a country fan, but they sure changed my mind. I was blown away! And I didn’t pay a dime for it! I would have never gone on my own. So really glad I got to experience them like that.

Unbelievable how ppl will rush out of a venue during encores, to get to their cars. I never do! So ppl who left during the last one, totally missed that incredible Praise & tribute to God! It took your breath away! The audience was almost silent for the whole thing, until they ROARED after. Both had tears in their eyes by the end of the song, but Naomi more so, during it. With hand raised too...🙌

I saw a lot of shows I would have never seen working for different venues. Great way to see some great acts! I don’t do it anymore, but have wonderful memories of the time I did. Several of them would come out to greet the workers after, but they didn’t. When artists have a show the next day, they will move on to it quickly, many times.
If they get a break between, they will hang at the venue after the crowds leave. Some do that, regardless... ;)
Got some free Ts & CDs. Even autographs on the Ts. Don’t wear them more than a couple times. B/C even tho they use a special marker, it can still fade. So I just keep them. :)

@@nindyhunt do you seriously believe this is the REAL Wynonna, pls? I highly suspect it's a fraud bc they only opened this account 2mos ago + hv a whopping 2 subs! (I know soon after Naomi passed, but still!?) Also, is writing the same 1or2 exact messages every time + according to THIS, imo fake account, 35+ times. I disputed it to them and they kept responding right back + continued doing that, not appreciating my questioning of them yet trying to be polite and religious. And whom truly believes real Wynonna, who is still going on tour, obviously w/o Naomi + is prob very BUSY preparing, is just SITTING AROUND promptly responding to fans comments f. 2mos ago that were "allegedly found" by her RUclips Team selecting people f. her authentic"fan club"! Do you belong to her fan club, please? It wouldn't surprise me if you do because you are a zealous and loving fan, + I highly respect you! Just don't like or appreciate people that catfish. Because technically speaking, if they are fake that's what they're doing EVEN if NOT seeking money. Certainly is seeking attention, though!
Imo they're actually picking & choosing comments, thus far, only finding them under this same video. I can't be bothered looking at other videos trying to find more of these. EVERY video on this alleged account can be found online, with nothing authentic enough to NOT disprove it isn't the REAL celebrity. And on this alleged fake account, the very first video STORY is about the real Wynonna STRUGGLES in Life + then on the bottom shows the unflattering video about Wynonna's REAL daughter who has some really sad issues; of which NEITHER stories are included on the authentic Wynonna YT Channel!!
🚩These are big red flags.🚩 Then, they (who imho talks more like a dude calling us all "nice ladies) + imoo possibly might not use English as their 1st language; responded to me for the 1st time NOT realizing I wasn't even the person that they initially responded to when i questioned their identity. And now repeating that they would like to have dinner with their fan! I pointed out to them that instead of writing "hello fan" that it seemed odd, when everyone has a screen name, they would politely address them as such?! Then boom, noticed they BEGAN addressing by name, immediately thereafter. Hmmm??
Not to mention their grammar is pretty lousy, as well. I think Wynonna would hv pretty great writing skills since I believe her 2b a song writer as well as a performer?! Account has been reported. Let's see how this turns out in the end? Because if it isn't her, they are impersonating someone famous and that's AGAINST YT terms of service!

Having struggled with my own mental health issues, I’m so glad Wynona and Ashley Judd can offer this very public morning/honoring of Naomi’s death/life. I spent a great deal of time in the very same psychiatric hospital as Naomi for intractable (for about 2 years) severe major depression. It’s so hard to “just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow…lies the seed, that with the sun’s love, in spring becomes the Ross.”
Only Wynonna can get away with a do-over. 😆. Bless her heart for performing while hurting so much. 🙏👍💕

My Mother has been gone for over 10 years and sometimes the loss hits me in the gut and takes my breath. I cannot imagine standing on stage, singing to her this soon after her passing!! This was beautiful and tragic and devastating!
My 17 year of daughter has been gone 25 years and sometimes that pain is so unbearable, I feel as if my heart will just break. Then I have such a hard time catching my breath! I understand your pain! ❤️
