Wynonna Judd Cries Revealing She'll 'Honor' Late Mom Naomi By Touring

- Wynonna Judd made the special announcement during the televised memorial service for her mom, 'Naomi Judd: A River of Time Celebration,' which aired Sunday on CMT. Wynonna and Naomi were set to headline a farewell tour together later this year, but Wynonna will now hit the road solo. Naomi died by suicide on April 30, just a day before she and her daughter were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
My heart breaks for these girls. They're so brave and strong, which sure says a lot for Naomi.
I'm really glad Wynonna chose to honor her mom!

I watched this and know what loosing a mother is all about. Remember this "Tears are not a sign of weakness, but a great sign of love". May those tears that you wipe from your eyes carry your heart to a place where one day I promise will be easier to carry. Cry thru the loss and feel your pain, don't shut it out or ignore it, you are both very beautiful and everything she was made from. Carry her and honour her every day. May God continue to give you strength and love to guide you thru this loss.

I lost both my parents and it's horrible. However, losing someone to suicide is just a totally different thing. You can't even compare. Rip Naomi. Sing with the angels 😂

When we lose our moms & dads, we lose our first friend, our first teacher, our feeling of "home" and that's like your foundation being ripped from your heart & soul. So glad that Wynonna is going to pay tribute to her mom by moving forward with the concert the two of them were scheduled to perform. It truly will be a great honor she is paying her mom, whose greatest achievement amongst many in life was being the fierce and focused single mother to Ashley and Wynonna. I have purchased my tickets to the first show in Grand Rapids in September, in part to watch the force that is Wynona Judd in concert (having been to one of her concerts previously) but also to show her how much she is loved and supported by so many. She and Ashley were so unbelievably strong and supportive of their mother's legacy and of one another tonight in this tribute, what a credit to their mom they both continue to be.
This brings me to tears. I am right there with her. My parents loved The Judds and raised my brother and I with their music. We lost my dad 2/2/22 to a heart attack and mom 2/22/22 to cancer. I have been listening to a lot of Judds music the last 3 months. Yesterday was the joint celebration of lives and by far the hardest day. Much love to the Judd family in this time of grief.

Wynonna and Ashley are such eloquent communicators, and their honesty is what touches fans so deeply. They learned that from their dear mom. If only love could have healed the devastating depression that plagued Naomi, but her honesty about that part of her life has also reached the many who are living with it, and not knowing why they feel so empty, even when their lives are full.

My heart is with this family so deeply. I lost my mom unexpectedly a year ago, and there’s truly no agony and sorrow like losing a beloved mother. 💔😰 I love what she said about “family of choice.” I don’t have much in the way of blood family that I’m close with, but I have a wonderful support system and some truly amazing people around me that are helping me get through one day at a time. For that I am incredibly thankful. All my love and prayers to this beautiful family. 🙏🏼❤️
It truly touches my heart to see Wynnona up there talking to the fans and all who know her and Naomi. I know how difficult this must be yet she Carries herself with such grace. I give her so much credit for deciding to go on with the tour. Even though it won’t be easy she won’t be alone for God will be with her every step of the way

Something about this loss at this time has really touched me. I don’t know this family and never bought their music although I heard them on talk shows and radio.
I feel very upset about this entire issue and feel terribly about how she died in extreme disparities.

Wy didn’t think in the 1990’s that she could go on to a solo career but her momma raised a strong girl who went on to have an amazing solo career and now you keep going on and singing and using the gift God have you for healing
Losing a parent is the second most painful experience. Losing a child is number 1. I know what these ladies are going through. I lost my mother 15 years ago. I often laid in bed in the fetal position bawling my eyes out for the 1st year. I have suffered alot in the 90's from so many of my family members dying but Mom's was the hardest. I just lost another loved one on Thursday. My Aunt Scotty from Mom's side passed away. I considered her like a second mom. My heart goes out to these ladies. ❤

It may not sound nice but thats not my intent, my intent is to tell the truth and that means not always saying what you may want to hear. Please remember, whatever we go through here on earth is temporary but where you spend eternity is forever. To anyone reading this and think it's the answer, please do not make a permanent decision based on a temporary circumstance.
My sweet mother missed this special tribute. I was able to catch the last 40 mins of it. The most important in my opinion. Wynonna has always been my favorite! So beautiful, so talented, so sweet and so darn. Funny! I wanted my mother to feel the emotion I felt when watching this tribute! I'm so thankful I was able to do that thanks to ET!. No obnoxious commentary, just two beautiful girls and a loving husband saying goodbye to there beautiful mother and wife. We both cried watching this together. I knew every word...but I wanted to share it with my beautiful mother. Thank you to the judd family and thank you to ET for posting the simplistic raw emotion of a daughter's love for her momma....

I lost my mom to a 21 year battle with Parkinson’s disease on 3-19-18 and while it’s not a mental illness, it sure changed her personality. I’m almost 49 years old but when you lose your mom, suddenly age doesn’t matter. All you want is your mom back. You feel lost and alone. My heart breaks for Naomi’s family, friends and fans who adored her. I’m praying for all of them.

I cannot imagine her pain. I lost my best friend of 34 years because she took her life. Its so hard for me now 5 months later that I cannot imagine the pain they are going through. Its so so hard.

I feel so sorry for these ladies. I know how you feel. I lost my mom August 28, 2021 and my dad 5 days later to Covid. I watched them suffer for 3 months. I miss them so much some days are harder than others to move forward but keep moving forward is how you can honor them.

Wow, I think I cried as much as Wynonna did. Watching this video. My mom was murdered in 2002 and I had a sister murdered in 2021. And I know what she's going through. But Wynonna you're going to make it. You're a good Christian woman and you know where your strength comes from. As in your video which I love when you sing I can only imagine what it will be like. Love you, Girl! Hang in there you and your sister are in my prayers.
