I think if they were to poll something like "Would you allow us full creative control over this one update"(something like a quest/minigame) so that they could sort of "prove" themselves in a way, it could be interesting seeing what would come of it, especially in regards to being completely in the dark and having to theorycraft and innovate in order to optimize whatever the new content is(and any effect it may have on existing metas)
This would allow the playerbase to have some amount of control over the majority of updates, but still give us occasional updates that can really bring the community together and create a ton of hype
