    Do you use anti penture liquid sealant for tyre .??

    • @deepakdunks
      @deepakdunks  2 года назад

      No … better to carry 2 tubes and a folding tire. It will do. Puncture is easy to handle. Tire burst is the main problem. Foldable tires most recommended.

    How much does it cost from Kaza to Manali return in those Traveller Vans when you pack your cycle? (For 1 person)

    My question is- why did you guys not fix the cycle in Kaza and do the sightseeing on the cycles instead of bikes? I am sure they have good MTB shops there

    Extremely U Guy's did it Superb...! Which Cycles u guys were Riding.. wat things needed to carry for such altitude Ride...?

    • @deepakdunks
      @deepakdunks  4 года назад

      We were all riding BTWIN mtbs. All of them rockriders. Very important to have suspensions. It will help for you and your bike. Carry as little as possible. You need spares for your bike priority number 1. after your supplements such as energy bar, fasten up etc. finally very important to have rain wear and warm wear.

    Dude this is amazing. What did you do to prepare for such a long journey? Have you cycled long distances before?

    • @ManishSingh-xo1fb
      @ManishSingh-xo1fb 4 года назад +1

      Ofcourse you should have a primer of long distance cycling. And you should be able to cycle 50 Km climbs on good roads. You should have knowledge about fixing gears, chains, punctures, not to mention you should carry the tools with you always.
      Only then you should think about trying.
      ON mountains its a different ball game. You can cycle from Delhi to Mumbai. But that's on plain road. Once you start cycling in mountains air is thin. You will be tired very easily. So you should be at the peak of your fitness when you try high mountain long distance cycling.
      Also one thing to consider is your own weight. If you are body builder loose some weight. If you are fat loose some weight. Ideally you should be lean with strong muscles. Look at any long distance cyclists - they are thin built.

      @@ManishSingh-xo1fb ok cool. Yes I've done 80 to 100 km rides. But nothing too long. Will keep practicing.

    • @deepakdunks

      Just be a regular rider. Commute to work, go on weekend rides etc. When you plan for such a ride just 2 month before start pushing your self little more. Do minimum 2 100km rides and challenge your timing in the 2 months. Try one or 2 hills where you can practice climbing. Know your limits and plan your journey. On flats you can avg 50kms a day easily with stops and picture sessions etc. On mountains like Manish said the air is thin you will feel breathless easily and plan a leisure 15kms a day. when you have pure climbs. If you are coming down you could do 30-40kms maximum. Plan the journey such that you enjoy every stop and night. Don't rush to just reach the destination but stop when ever and where ever you feel like to soak in the nature.
