I am really high Fi.. and as I grow older, I feel I've become more caring of others, especially of the way I speak to people at work. I used to be so selfish with how I see things and say what I feel is right. 😅
I've been into mbti for some time and I still can't fathom whether I use Fe or Te. Since I was a child I've always strived to improve things (I would get veryyy angry as a child when somebody around me wasted something or I saw a road sign which wasn't clear enough and I imagined it could cause some accidents) and I've always been rather cold and objective (as I child I would yell at the screen of my TV if a character acted illogically or let's say they didn't confess they knew their sun was guilty in some trial just because it was their son). Yet I care a lot about how others perceive me, I'm very awkward and have tried people pleasing a few times in my life. I've always had that vision for me "I gotta be muscular, gotta work hard, gotta look good bla blah." There was a time in my life when I struggled to stand up for myself because I hated myself so much since I could never live up to these expectations. I don't think a Te dom could relate to such problems.
A Te type could actually totally relate to all of the things you shared. I actually had a whole section about Te people pleasing in my full version of this video that was too long to include in today’s video. Maybe it could help you out! Te types can relate very strongly to people pleasing. It’s something that will show up with both Extroverted Judging functions.
@oskarm646 This is my 2nd comment. After re-reading your description it's not impossible that you're an introverted thinking and extroverted feeling user. Perhaps instead of deciding between Fe and Te, try to see if you have a preference for using Fe and Ti together, or if you have a preference for using Fi and Te?
Having Te friends (ESTJ and ENTJ) sometimes I got taken aback at how intense their feelings are. They seems know what they feels, despite their harsh words and exterior. One of them even calling me a j3rk because they think that I am too detached with my own feelings. Maybe it's true that Te doms and aux are surpressing their own feelings. Me as Ti aux, I don't think that I am surpressing my own feelings because I just lashing out what I feel without any processing if I have to venting out lol. And I agree that they can be lazy, they always looking for shortcut to things that they do. If I remind them to back to the protocol, they'ld be really mad lmao. "ARE YOU LIKE TO JUST WASTING YOUR TIME??" or they'll say sarcastically "WHY WE HAVE TO TAKE THE EASY ROUTE WHEN YOU LIKE TO TAKE THE HARDER ONE" I am just "meh whatever" lol -ENTP
Having Fi in oppositional means having sensitivity to your feelings and often a lack of control over their emotions since Fi is outside of the ego. Having Fi in dominance doesn't always correlate to a naive emotional crybaby, in fact Fi in dominance is always sitting in your inner emotional landscape and constantly regulating it. A lot become very good stoics overtime even way more so than ETJs. ETJs response most of the time to regulate their emotions is by being productive, creating things; many ETJs/EFPs are artists. One of the biggest misconception between IFPs and ETJs.
Nice video and very insightful for folks who are on the Fe-Ti axis. I can pick up on this raw emotional energy emanating from lead Te folks and that must be their ever present Fi. Stepping back in situations and checking in with my Ti is something I’m working on because I’m so prone to making quick decisions on the vibes and opinions of others using my lead Fe.
As an infp I have strong extraverted thinking. It is interesting that I struggle with info's who are overtly emotional (drawn into feelings) winona rider forexemple. I now see clearly how extraverted thinking moderates introverted feeling.
I have been typed by others as an ENTJ or ESTJ and that comes as a rude shock, since I don't think I'm unfeeling and often typed myself as ENFP. However, I relate to how you explain the cognitive function and realized I'm not as cold and unfeeling, but rather very detached lol!
Te doms like us dont want to admit we do the things we do, the way we do it, because we know deep down we are actually lazy and sensitive potatoes in a pressure cooker 😩 lol
You switch between saying "extroverted thinkers" and Te. But Extroverted Thinkers aren't just walking Te machines. They're humans, and as such have all 8 functions active in their psyche to some degree. It's not clear to me how you've distinguished between whether these Te Doms are doing these "kind" things from their Te rather than from just using Fe
I think that’s what he was trying to say. He said Te isn’t all about productivity and efficiency, Te care about others through their actions. Whether it’s to give everyone the same treatment (give your signature to all of your fans), asking if someone need something to know if what you did is enough (I hope you liked the show), or trying to turn the situation a certain way for the well-being of others (managing your staffs so the task are done in time). By understanding the reason behind their actions, you can see the caring side of the individual who’s Te dom. ------------------ And yeah, it isn’t explicitly said, but when you care for others or any other things, of course you used the 7 other functions. But this video was made to explain what’s Te beyond the stereotypes, that’s why he doesn’t talk about the other functions. ------------------ Te vs Fe I think knowing their motive is a good way to start. There’s surely some differences. Both care for others, and both find solutions. Maybe it’s how they approche the situation, approche the feeling of other, how confortable they are it.

That sounds like Te - Fi. Te and Fi work on an axis. If others THINK well of you or perceive you well, then you feel good about yourself.

Hi not a Te-dom but an ISTJ here and just wanted to say that I relate a lot

NAILED IT AGAIN! Thanks for this great vid 🙌🏻

9:01 i just love how much he cares and pays attention.
That's so crazy! I went to high school with James from Love Is Blind and he played basketball with my brother growing up lol

this was so insightful
What’s the difference between Te and Fe? Also what’s the difference between Te and Ti??
I think quite a lot of the sentiment can also overlap with Ti users
💎 hmm clever video
Te doms like us dont want to admit we do the things we do, the way we do it, because we know deep down we are actually lazy and sensitive potatoes in a pressure cooker 😩 lol
Efficiency
Je (Te Fe) is less selfish than Ji (Ti Fi)
I love your vidio you can upload vidio every day❤
hmm, I'm not sure choosing mrbeast as an example aged well knowing the issue that's happening right now.
