Honestly the baker man is very underrated which is where he needs and likes to be. Your right this Bucs team is scary all the right pieces.

I think the Bucs could be in a great position as long as they stay healthy...

I like that Baker isn’t throwing a dart on every pass. I reviewed some other passes last year to make sure it wasn’t a loss of velocity and there are throws that had zip so it looks like he’s trying to make a conscious decision to put more air under the ball at times. Maybe his increasing interceptions are due to trying to make this adjustment.
He owned the seams in college and has always had a good deep ball. It’s those intermediate passes that need to go over the linebackers and in front of the safeties that are the problem especially when not having big a big WR and TE. Mark Andrews was his college TE at 6’5. The big WR from Texas A&M with that crazy catch radius will be nice. Sorry, cant think of his name even tho he’s awesome. Even Johnny Football could hit him in college.

It will be interesting to see how his style adapts to talents like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, cause it's a much different offense in Tampa (personnel-wise) then what he had in LA and Cleveland

This will be Baker's FIRST EVER NFL preseason on a team that isn't a proven perennial losing organization. The Haters love to point out that Baker was surrounded by so much talent when he did so well in 2020... IMO, an undisciplined team with awful play-calling and poor philosophies more than counters out having good players. Baker won IN SPITE of being surrounded by ineptitude. (The Clowns stunk before he got there, and they've gone right back to loosing since he left.) Mayfield is going to shred the league next season!

If the Bucs shore up the offensive line so he stays upright he has a great opportunity to do just that. Realistically, 1st time OC with no experience calling plays along with Mayfield learning a new system may take several weeks before seeing success. So I urge caution how much you build this guy up. The sadistic and vicious Browns Watson Wackers, who are relentless in their pursuit to discredit Mayfield, will experience much joy in rubbing your face in it if he struggles. I say this because, A) I've personally experienced plenty of obviously uninformed and biased insults which resulted in much angst and, B) No desire to provide more fodder for these people's enjoyment. Although not a "Baker Bro" or am I? Lol. He is one of my favorite players. I am a Vikings fan and a fan of football overall. I've never seen so much vitriol directed towards a single player. I'm glad there are plenty of people rooting for this guy and facing down the uneducated. My diatribe is done. 🙂 Peace. 🏈

To think Baker was offered 30+ million dollar contract per year and turned it down prior to his 2021 Browns season.

New Browns GM and HC in 2020 were already looking into acquiring Deshawn Watson from the time he requested a trade out of Houston. The Browns admitted to this. Regardless of Mayfield's 2020 playoff season ... he wasn't their guy and wasn't going to be their guy. They did the token ownership request of building around Mayfield in 2020 as he was the #1 pick in 2018. That's why they were hired. But their misuse of playing him with fractured shoulder since week 2, as well as other related injuries, in 2021 negativity impacted his productivity. You wouldn't believe all the injuries this guy played through. Nevertheless, it gave GM/HC the excuses they needed to convince ownership to pursue Watson. Mayfield went into 2021 without any contract negotiations with the Browns. His reps attempted but the Browns wouldn't discuss. The so-called "understanding" for 2021 was to prove his consistency in performance by playing in the same offense for 2 consecutive years before extending him. Injuries conveniently derailed that. At the combine in 2022, the GM assured Mayfield's reps he was the starter for 2022 ...this during the time he was recovering from shoulder surgery. Then they went after Watson. The front office mislead Mayfield and operated in bad faith. Don't buy into perceived contract offers cuz there weren't any.
Also, if you question why some athletes now refuse to play while injured ... such as Lamar Jackson ... you can point to Mayfield as a shining example of what not to do. It's good to not let your playmates down and play regardless of injury but you're only sabotaging yourself. Injury riddled performance stats are treated like the injury never existed and the perception is that you're a lousy player with the front office using it against you when convenient.
Bucs Fans .... give Mayfield a chance. In 2022 he started out mentally and physically broken by the Browns. Traded to dysfunctional Panthers amid installing a new offense mid-July, with no running game even with McCaffrey, receiving 50% of the reps. Fired HC. Not a recipe for success. He was granted a waiver in December and you saw how he was bouncing back with the injury riddled Rams.
      My two cents. Peace. 🏈
