Purchased the new model Dometic CFF 45 model a couple of weeks ago, it is side opening on both sides without reversing the lid, both sides open... I have not turned it off, with a 3 year warranty... I'll be testing that out... I've been on one camping trip in 35 degree heat, works a treat with no problems , very quiet and I'm very impressed so far, we'll see how she goes as my fridge will be running all of the time not just on camping trips.
Another good review video. Iv got the CFX65 & insulation bag, iv had it for almost 3 years & I gotta say I love it! it's paid for itself tenfold. I do run a dual battery system in the back of my 76 series which has taken this fridge to several High Country trips, Cape York & The Simpson Desert to name but a few. Unlike you I've had no issues with the insulation bag. I too have never used the USB port. I also use it as a overflow fridge. It's in the spare room now as the missus done a big shop yesterday. I love it!
+retry tobuy fantastic to hear mate they are a very good fridge I still rate my highly and will buy another when this one bites the dust I will go dor the bigger dual zone though it sounds like you have a pretty food setup there with the 76 series.
I have had a CF40 for 7 years and it breaks down every 2-3 years. Always the same problem - temperature controller. I rang Waeco but they weren't interested. Fair enough, it's out of warranty but I haven't had a good run with this fridge and I'm not impressed with the company's attitude about that.
I’ve a CFX 50 and seems to draw too much power. Fine when cars running, good for a night, but starts to play up.. compressor tries to run and like it’s drawing too much power she trips out. Switch over to emergency power to cool it down but like you say the temp controller then doesn’t work. So you have to manually switch between to get right temp wtf! For the money it’s a frustrating purchase.. Camping now with my mates Engel next to mine, and it’s running fine, even when using a light gauge wire for ciggi connection 12v..
Thanks for the review - you have a nice style, easy to understand with good video quality. One thing that was disappointing on this one is that you have an 8 minute video to review the fridge but you only spent just over 3.5 minutes on the fridge and the rest on the optional cover. Would have liked to see a more in-depth review of the fridge itself.
+Aussieonyak hey mate yeah this was a early one for me I try to get to the point more now on the newer reviews thanks for the feedback In my next trip ill try to do some talking about the waeco csnt recommend it enough they are great.
My cheap Waeco clone has a much better design cover than that. It only cost $380 delivered to my door. The covers aren't really that good as they are too thin to perform properly anyway. Much more important is the units own insulation. Thanks for you review though, very helpful finding out the potential problems that users might experience.
4x4 Camping and Adventures Haha yeah. In the process of doing it up atm. It's getting a new tray and a gunmetal paint job but as it sits it's on black rims and 33s haha
+linndels in the mix no worries mate watch one video and think you know everything the cover at the time was 6 months old and Waeco came to the party and replaced it. Also they confirmed it was faulty but sure it was me being to rough opening a flap. 🖒

Peter Scott just bought one today. Let me know how yours is going in the long runs. Plan on running it in my car full time and not taking it out
Still going strong after 3 years mate

Thanks mate its still going strong I dont leave home without it now!
thanks mate! I'm looking at getting the cfx65dz for my camper and my main issue is power consumption. looks like it should do the job just fine.
+activechaos128 hey mate very good on power I run it on a 85amp battery and have had 2 days of it running solid with out a recharge.
Really good review mate. I'm going to get one myself.
+Brendan King thanks mate glad I could help

Still got it mate it’s been running pretty much 24x7 since this video can’t recommend it enough
I have a cf80 Waeco and they break clips all the time I have a cover and it is great but the product is not the best
+Dan Gaudron is it the cfx or cf mate because I heard the CF had issues with the clips hence why I went with the CFX as it does not use them.
Cf
Do all the cfx models have wifi?
Not all of them mate
Are you in Geraldton?
