  • Today's video is a product review of the 77a Cuei Killers by ‪@CueiWheels‬. These have been designed with downhill skateboard racing in mind. Catch the in-depth write-up here: downhill254.com/cuei-killers-...
    There will likely never be another review as good as this. I just got very luck with the amount of clips I had available, the music, how much time I had and how dramatic I was feeling lol. Depending on how well this video does, I will do more similar stuff for future video (and improve on certain areas of the video too). Let me know if you liked it!

    LMAO "100 likes and I'll clean these" - I love zealous for LDP. I'm always surprised at how nicely they roll when they're completely caked with dirt like that! Even though I don't do downhill, your videos really do such a great job of explaining the feel of the equipment you review that I can almost imagine what it would be like. Thanks for the great content as usual!

      Zealous are goated bearings, still can't believe these are kicking, but yeah, 100 likes and they'll be cleaned. Shy of that they will continue to be abused haha.
      Thanks for watching the video and really stoked my explanations can translate that well, maybe I can convince you to do DH one day haha, cheers man.

    Nice review buddy !! You will be impressed with out new Cuei A1 79mm… All the things we could improve on this ones were adjusted, literally a new chapter on the brand !!!
    Also, is nice to compare wheels with same duros, magnuns didn’t have wheels at 77a which is why you feel Killers 77a more stiff, but if you try same duros like 75a Cueis are definitely more soft feeling… I try both at Teutonia, the roughtest round on earth I believe!! Some designs will never work with higher duros and this is another advantage of the Killers, not just tje thane makes it grippy or the skin as you mention, the design is also a nice weapon.. I apreciate your time reviewing our wheels and I would be pleased to see you trying our new stuff… Keep doing the good work !! Att Lessa

    Great content as usual. It’s worth checking out the other colours. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts. The red killers are 80a and I’ve found them really good free-ride wheels once you take the skin off. I believe there are two types of thane Power and Flow.

    • @downhill254skate
      @downhill254skate  2 года назад +1

      Hmmm, we'll see about the other colors, could do one day! Are the 80a flow thane? They do look very fun

    • @cmorsley
      @cmorsley 2 года назад

      @@downhill254skate yep they’re 80a flow thane. Thom at SBDW in Hong Kong recommended them to me. I had tried Steeze 75a power than which are smooth as silk but didn’t last long so he suggested these and they slide just as well but longer lasting. I think you would have a more accurate view if you tried them. They are more a freeride wheel than a race wheel like the other killers - I think.

    • @konan8353
      @konan8353 2 года назад

      How slidey are they in general? I'm looking for another wide freeride wheel to replaces my K-rimes but they look suuuuuuper grippy in comparison

    • @cmorsley
      @cmorsley 2 года назад +1

      The steeze are narrower and really slide like a thaney snake but the Red Killers are much harder so it compensates for the width. I tried them one after the other and I could slide just as easily with the Killers. Admittedly they were worn in so they wont be as slidy straight out of the box and also they have the straight edges but this wont matter after you’ve done a few big hands down slides to scrub them a bit. When I get my narrower trucks (P2’s) I will definitely get Red Killers for freeride.

    Fantastic review. I live in Brazil. There seems to be quite a few local brands here and I've been curious about their quality. Stuff is very expensive here, so maybe a Brazilian brand is a good way to go. Have you tried any other Brazilian made wheels like Face Skate or Dizzy Wheels?

      Hmmm, never tried either brands but heard very good things. Really would like to try Rool wheels at some point so might work towards getting those. It's difficult to get stuff ehre from Brazil, but I'll just pay the extorntionate amount for shipping at teh right time!

    Not sure if it is the right place to ask. I currently am riding a 31-inch cruiser with RKP and an angled riser. I want to buy a larger deck and my main riding scenario is between campus and the way to the grocery stores. There are very few large slopes that I need to pick up the board to walk and most of the other roads are on a mellow slope. I am looking at a 36-inch single kicktail (stiff) and a 40-inch symmetrical drop-through. Which one do you think I should go for?

    • @downhill254skate
      @downhill254skate  2 года назад +1

      I'd go for the kicktail board if you want something similar to waht you have now.
      If you're skating further distances, the drop through may be the more sustainable choice. Better for distance riding

      Yeah they're pretty narrow relatively. Also, it's a trick of the mind how narrow they look when you have them on the trucks haha, but yeah. Free Killers suck (Apparently), not as easy to freeride. My next video might have some wheels you might love m8
