I just LOVE your quilts. You made QUILTS MAKING SO EASY AND YOU explain things so well so a beginner such as me can understand . THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TUTORIALS.
If you cut the remaining five strips from the jelly roll into 2.5" squares, you'll get 16 x 5 = 80 squares. That's just enough fabric to snowball the white squares in the middle to make a secondary 'scrappy square-on-point' design in those 20 white/background square spaces! Beautiful project, it's next on my list of jelly roll quilts. Thanks MSQC! ~Diana from Toronto
I appreciate how you included the backing yardage this time. It's very helpful, and I hope you continue putting that measurement in for future videos. Thanks for another great video!
Now I have to go try this pattern. I am working on a "water wheel" block using the Missouri Star Binding tool. AND.. if ya haven't heard. Hancock is closing its doors at all their stores. What is a quilter to do.. OH NO... get ready for a lot more on-line orders.. Thanks for all your wonderful tutorials.. Blessings to all
Hells from Australia, thank yor for sharing this pattern, as a learner it is a big help and the tutorial to make it easy to follow, keep on keeping it simply
I made this quilt using the Bright Sun fabric jelly roll. My niece likes Native American and the fabric and star design was perfect for her quilt.. I ended up with 1 3/4 back ground fabric left over. I wasn't sure what pattern I was going to use or fabric size and then I saw this tutorial and it all came together. The quilt turned out great. Have an awesome day.
I love each and every one of your videos and am always so excited when you post a new one! You're so inspiring and fun to watch. Thank you for doing what you do, you rock! :) Greetings from Maine.
Love this pattern and the fabric is so cute! I’m into making baby quilts, and this one would be perfect. I use a lot of pre cuts, but am trying to develop a better color sense, so am trying to pick out fabrics on my own. Your tutorials help me with the pattern, and also with the color choice. I’ve been quilting for two years, and really love it. Thanks for making it so much easier to understand. I’ve made quite a few of your patterns, many with pre cuts that I bought from your site. I look forward to your tutorials and want to thank you for making quilting such an enjoyable passion.
oh man ist der wunderschön.....danke fürs zeigen....freu mich schon aufs nachnähen....wie immer einen lieben Gruß aus Deutschland....und ein schönes wochenende
I love this quilt design Jenny! Would love to see more quilts that can be done with Jelly Rolls in the future, and thank you for giving the backing yardage for the quilt. I'm thinking how cute it would be, if one used Honey Buns (1.5" strips) to do this pattern.
Thanks Jenny, its lovely. Its a bit weird, I know, but I much prefer square quilts so I will make this one 6x6 and make a nice big pillow out of the remaining 4 blocks.
Morning Jenni! Pearly early in the uk but again I'm sitting watching your new video with my tea and love this quilt, fabric is really sweet. Would love it if you could do an updated baby quilt video, going to become a Nanna soon so I have an ulterior motive🤗 Thank you for all your videos.....you are the loveliest and the best! Xx
Thank you for a beautiful blooper! I'm going to start cutting this one out! Heres a tip on remembering to keep sewing your snowballed corners the right direction: sew the Long pieces from the Left, the short pieces from the right (alphabetically in order R, S). Corny, but it sure helps me! Again, thanks for sharing this pretty quilt!
Super cute pattern! Instead of creasing or ironing a line, if you rotary cut, leaving the quarter inch seam allowance, you can use your quarter inch foot on your sewing machine!
This is a cool pattern. Probably just me, but I need that plain center block to be a diamond in a square. A little floating diamond - a use for those bits left from the print strips.
I love all the Missouri Star videos. Please give the amounts of fabric needed for each size quilt. For example......standard, queen and king size quilt. Thank you so much.
Love this quilt Jenny! It is definitely going into my next project option, thank you for a great tutorial. I live in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands in South Africa, about an hour and a half inland from the coastal city of Durban.
Thank you for the fantastic pattern! I snowballed both sides of the longer strips and ended up with pinwheels inside of stars. I was going to post a picture here but can't figure out how!
Jenny, you said that each strip of fabric makes one complete block. So if there is 40 strips of fabric, that means there are 40 blocks. You can layout the blocks 5 across and 8 down using ALL 40 Blocks. How you say this quilt was laid out only used 35- 5x7 leaving 5 blocks.. This is leaving 5 blocks that could be used. I have made 3 of this quilt and laid each one . 5 across and 8 down using all 40 blocks. I also did one of those quilts with a sashing between each row.
Lovely quilt and the fabric is so pretty. I wish you had shown what you were really trying to make, when you made this fabulous mistake, just so we could have seen what you were actually wanting to make.
I love this! A bit confused though on dimensions. It looks like the blocks end up 11" finished, and if that's the case, with borders added, wouldn't the quilt finish at more like 65" by 87"?
Do you ever put theses finished blocks on point? It gives gives a quilt a whole different look...but it looks scary. Could you possibly do a tutorial on putting blocks on point? Thanks.
Hi Jenny, I got the Pinafores & Petticoats 2.5 inch strips from you guys. Do you think it would look good in the pattern with a white background? Or do I need more contrast? Thanks so much!!! -Diane
In making this quilt, when the corners are snowballed, the resulting little white triangles are always too short when ironed back. That makes the seam not much more than 1/8 inch on that part. How do I remedy this?
+Patricia White There is a free PDF printable if you click on the link for supplies in the description you will find it. The pattern will also be included in a future issue of BLOCK magazine. :)
How would I compute the material to make a king from this pattern. I gave my sister a headache with the math problem. Lol. But I have a learning disability that prevents me from knowing how to compute it.
Surprise Pinwheel is magical!
I love mistakes😵💫 that cause surprises✨! Adorable. Thank you for sharing this with us. Have a blessed day.🙏💖🍀🤟🎉🧵✂️🪡Liz
I've never been a fan of the pinwheel square but this design I like. Very pretty.
Love this quilt. Excellent baby quilt for boy or girl. Love your ideas Jenny, what a wonderful "mistake"
I just bought a jelly roll from you just because I liked the fabric and this may be the pattern I'll use for it!
I just LOVE your quilts. You made QUILTS MAKING SO EASY AND YOU explain things so well so a beginner such as me can understand . THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TUTORIALS.

another easy quick quilt THANKS Jenny

Thank you so much 😊 Jenny, that's fabulous ‼️‼️‼️‼️ I love ❤️ it, you could also make in two colours and it would look lovely ❓
Thank you!!
Thank you for the fantastic pattern! I snowballed both sides of the longer strips and ended up with pinwheels inside of stars. I was going to post a picture here but can't figure out how!
Jenny, what position is your needle at? I noticed you do not use a 1/4 inch foot..love your tutorials!!!!
Lovely
Woo woo, first commenter! Love this.
+Judy Hart Haha, you must have been waiting up for this tuorial, Judy! I love it!
I think it would be pretty on point.
Love it! You mentioned that it was based on the "Sweet Stars" pattern. Do you have a tutorial for that one, too?
+Stephanie Nye Here's a link to it, Stephanie! :)

Lovely quilt and the fabric is so pretty. I wish you had shown what you were really trying to make, when you made this fabulous mistake, just so we could have seen what you were actually wanting to make.
Love this quilt design , happy accidents are so great! Could you tell me what cutting mat you are using please? :-)
+Mandy Boyd It's from The Grace Company. Unfortunately we don't carry it because it is too big for us to ship out.
I love this! A bit confused though on dimensions. It looks like the blocks end up 11" finished, and if that's the case, with borders added, wouldn't the quilt finish at more like 65" by 87"?
Sorry about the confusion Cathy! This quilt does end up being 65"by 87". Great catch!
It did make a difference which way you sew the angle on the 4" and 6" strips.
You have to do them opposite
I just love the quilt, but I'm confused about sewing the strip one way and the other way. Are there directions written down somewhere? With photos?
Do you ever put theses finished blocks on point? It gives gives a quilt a whole different look...but it looks scary. Could you possibly do a tutorial on putting blocks on point? Thanks.
+Karla Goddard We'll have to keep that in mind, Karla. Thanks for the great suggestion. :)
Hi Jenny, I got the Pinafores & Petticoats 2.5 inch strips from you guys. Do you think it would look good in the pattern with a white background? Or do I need more contrast? Thanks so much!!! -Diane
+Diane Briggs It would be a super soft and adorable quilt, Diane. I love that idea!
In making this quilt, when the corners are snowballed, the resulting little white triangles are always too short when ironed back. That makes the seam not much more than 1/8 inch on that part. How do I remedy this?
