I love the respect and appreciation you have for all bikes all makes👍
My first bike was a KZ750E. Absolutely loved it! Thank you for the ride down memory lane.
Do you remember how many miles you put on it ?
I put 75,000 on the one I had - and it only took 4 years - I rode that thing everywhere - I used to ride with cut off jeans and no shirt or shoes ... in Florida
This was the second street motorcycle I ever owned. Your videos bring back a lot of memories as a lot of the bikes you review I have owned.
65 and she just stopped riding. God bless her awesome soul! I love it!
Beautiful bike I had an 81’ KZ 750 back in high school(85) one if the best bikes I’ve owned. Now riding a 19’ street glide.
Holy flashback! There were quite a few of those around my area back in the day. Great bikes!
I have one of these, not in the condition of this one,but love it,lots of power for an 80's motorcycle
Just baught one my first bike yesterday and this is the exact model I got with everything stock. Amazing machine.
I had a 1981 750 LTD and can't see any difference. I did the same thing with the buck horn bars that came stock on it by replacing them with the drag bars. Great piece and it was faster in the 1/4 mile than the 1000 because it was lighter.
Yup I also had an 81 750 LTD. Same color. I love that bike. today I’m riding a 2021 Z 900 RS café
@@postersm7141 Thats funny because I currently have both 2018 Rootbeer Z900RS and 2018 Z900RS Cafe.
Wow that bike is so nice! You guys are living the dream! God Bless America...
I have 78 kz1000 that I've had for over 15 years and I still live that bike. I have rebuilt it entirely, it is far from unmolested but it is a beautiful bike.
I was 25 years old when I bought my first bike in 1982 - a KZ750 light blue metalflake -
I put 75,000 miles on that bike in 4 years . Completely wore it out - the seat was the first thing to go ...
I don't know if you remember this tidbit - do you know what happens when you over rev those bikes ?
The ignition shuts down - no more spark - you cannot crank it until and unless you remove a spark plug wire and ground it to the engine block or frame . Then it is good to go ...
I still remember the day I rode that bike off the lot ... I loved that bike ...
Oh yeah, I originally forgot to add this part - The starter went out sometime during the second year - but I never got it fixed because the bike was so easy to start - even when cold and using the manual choke - I could push the bike while sitting on it and pop the clutch in second gear and it would start every time .
Fast forward to 2019 - I got a Kawasaki Z900 . I love it even more than that 750 . It is only about 30 pounds heavier and more than double the horsepower and it rides and handles much more smoothly though . I liked the 2019 so much - I bought another one as soon as the 2020 models came out .
So now I have a red and black and a blue and grey . The 2019 only has ABS - the 2020 has 2 power modes and 4 traction modes along with ABS ...
Dude (or chick lol) same here. I had several 80s KZ and LTD bikes back in the 90s. Today I’m riding a 2021 Z900 RS Café and I love it. Like you said, double the horsepower plus with modern fuel injection, suspension, brakes etc. etc. By the way I remember how much I loved your Z900 when it came out however I really love my Z900 RS Café because it’s a throwback to the old KZ with all of the modern goodies and modern performance and power.
I just found one for 175 bucks locally. It’s a project. Needs some work but it’s got good bones. I think I’m gonna jump on it
lot of knowledge that you have.!!tnx
A 79 was my first motorcycle 35 years ago. My friends called it "the shoebox" but my 14 year old self didn't care one bit.
I had one and loved it!
Beautiful KZ750LTD. I prefer the KZ750 Standard but this LTD is Sweet.
Thats a nice bike. Love it. Sometimes miss those days when the bikes looked like that.😀Dont remember the last time i could see a early Kawasaki GPZ 1000/1100 without fairings.
You sir have a new sub. I had a few of these back in the day in the 90s but never one in that condition. I’m currently riding a 2021 Z900 RS café. Also I love the upgraded handlebars. My new Z900 RS café has those (basically same) from the factory, the way it should’ve been :-)
Beautiful machine ❤
Saludos desde Oaxaca México!! Tienen excelentes motocicletas ,saludos
My somewhat similar machines were an 80/81 GPZ 550 Firecracker Red / Navy Blue 🧨 and an 82 KZ 750 Midnight Blue/ light blue pinstripes.
Great video. Looks - sounds Sweet!
Had the same exact bike loved it wish I still had it. Very fast bike.
Do you remember how many miles you put on it ?
I put 75,000 on the one I had - and it only took 4 years - I rode that thing everywhere - I used to ride with cut off jeans and no shirt or shoes ... in Florida
I have my 81 kz750 that’s not new new but has a few paint smudges on it but runs like a charm with only 21k miles on it. Bought it for only 1200. Think I struck a gold nugget.
man love your jacket !!
Almost like it’s come out of a time capsule. Brother use to have Z750 and friend had the Z1300 during those years. So still love those bikes of that time. BTW saw a Z1300 in the museum in one of your videos. Will you do a video on that?
Not anytime soon brother..it is museum storage dry of fluids
Had a KZ 650 miss that sound!
Canadian eh I loved mine! I bought it with a 4-1 with no baffle. After tuning it, I had to sell it. The sound was too addicting and I was going to lose my license lol
I appreciated the pickle. I’ll use that. Top notch. Great bike, that’s a zeitgeist piece to me.
Love your passion boys.
Picked one of these up for a grand
Love this guys look its like Wolvering meets Triple H from WWE
Nice bike, I saw a few of these at Barbers motorcycle vintage festival in Birmingham Alabama going cheap, great weekend I thought maybe you would be there it’s like Mid Ohio
I have this bike, how would it be worth in good condition?
Good question
The last owner of my bike sadly did the 4 to 1 exhaust I’ve never been more disappointed to here he sold the old exhaust

Impressionant condicion
My father had a 1982 LTD. I never met my father. My brother sold the bike for a couple hundred dollars. What a shame, what a shame.
i think pretty much all japense bike run forever
I had a 81' 550 till a 70 yr old man pulled out on me. That's in NiCe Condition.
Its a VLASIC PICKLE right Ken! 😂
Sweet
my dad had this exact bike before he bought a harley... I regret not showing an interest in riding when I was a kid, for it would have been mine. instead he sold it to party unknown.
How much?
4350 buy it now auction price on Ebay
@@KaplanCycles That's really not a bad price at all for that. You can tell it was well cared for.
Z1 is the bike
This guy looks like Tripple H
This guy reminds me of Danzig ,
Another bike that's the same age as me
The color in the older videos was much more vibrant. Now the color looks washed out.
I have a 83 kz 750 clean bike. In Boston. Mass Up for sale.
My uncle had 1 with a sissy bar on it...he'd make me a sissy on the back, idiot!!!
man... I thought mine was nice.....
Love these old Kawasaki kz750 LTDs. I had an 82' Kawasaki 750 spectre, which is even more rare than this bike. Quiet as a sewing machine until you really get into the throttle, then it screams like a banshee.
