Installing a Fire Suppression System in my Civic EG Racecar!

Hey, Friends! Welcome back to channel! How long has it been since I've wrenched on the EG? I don't think I've touched it since it went into storage! Haha! Well, comp school is coming up fast and as I've mentioned before, the Civic will need all of the safety items installed in order to go through the program. Today we start off with the biggest item on the list! Fire suppression!

Brian, I believe there needs to be a T right at the bottle valve to separate the engine bay and passenger systems. Would be worth checking the NASA refs and the install directions from Lifeline. My OMP system and a friends Lifeline both had it in the install manual. Just something to check before you get to comp school and possibly have an issue.

Good eye! The Zero 2020 system actually doesn’t come with a tee right off the bottle like some of their other kits. The diagram for this kit is a little bit different from the rest, but I agree with you. I may have to at least change the interior nozzle line routing a bit…

What colour of blue is your valve cover painted in?? Awesome job

I’m not sure about the color name, but it’s supposed to replicate the Spoon blue that you see on their brake calipers. It’s also powder coated from my buddy Charlie at Doryoku!
