My '23 Tesla MYP and my wife's '23 Denali Ultimate were both totaled in a hailstorm/tornado that rocked our tiny town of Needville, TX. We just purchased this exact model yesterday and couldn't be happier! This complete redesign is incredible. Great review!
Yeah, I think once we start seeing these on the road more, and at the school dropoff lanes, they are going to catch a LOT of people's attention that might not have ever considered a previous Santa Fe or even Hyundai before. This vehicle is dripping in value for a 3-Row SUV.
Hyundai is on a roll. So much of their latest product looks and feels more advanced for their respective classes. For the Sante Fe, its been quite some time since I've seen a vehicle do such a 180 on design. Sure, the rear is love or hate it, but you have to give Hyundai credit for daring to be bold here. I can actually see it stealing sales away from the larger Palisade, especially those that dont require a larger vehicle. I really appreciate Hyundai for keeping it simple on the interior but elevating it substantially. And am I the only one that thinks it is so odd that Hyundai does the rear power seats better than BMW and MB, especially in speed? I am so glad they're not full power only.
Great vid. First Calligraphy vid i have seen. Def a good redesign for those who need storage and 3rd row. I am very happy with my 2023 calligraphy. But this will do very well with its updated modern look.🎉 Thanks for sharing.👍👍
Love this car The only thing I would do is debadge I think it will look even cooler and people will like it even more since I bet they won't know what it is especially with that new upgraded body style
Thanks for sharing, I have few videos of the SE and SELs on my channel as well. The rear looks much better in the calligraphy. Is the rear really that odd looking in person?
All of that gloss black will be a PITA to keep clean. Highly suggest putting PPF on all of that. Definitely considering trading in my Telluride for this.
FYI...at the 16:36 mark of your video you state that the current Santa Fe (I assume you mean 2023) has "power lumbar" controls for the passenger seat. I currently have a 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy is it does NOT have power lumber control.
If they redesigned the back end (minivan look), added massage driver seat and get rid of cheap looking gloss black fenders, this would be a winner at the top trim.
Hybrid's appear not to have started being allocated yet. I would expect to hear more on this within the next 1-2 months. They all can tow however the Hybrid is limited to 2,000 lbs, 2.5T (Minus XRT) 3,500 lbs, and XRT 4,500 lbs including trailer brakes for all versions. Otherwise 1,650 lbs without trailer brakes.
9:30 Thank God they kept the physical buttons & the volume & tuning knobs. Other companies are eliminitaing them & going the Tesla route which isn't ideal for every situation or scenario. I also prefer the 2021-2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy & Limited over an equivalent Tucson Hybrid bc of the fact that it has physical buttons & knobs & no gloss black plastic
I have a video going over all of the changes but there is extremely little difference between gas and hybrid Santa Fe feature wise. The driving dynamics may be different and I have a video comparison of the last generation.
TY, great video by the way covering everything, these are starting to show up at the dealers except for the Hybrids so have to wait for the test drive to see which one I will get and what the towing difference is @@CarsMadeSimple
Thank you, you were a little quick panning the camera around the Digital Camera Rear View Mirror so I couldn't definitely see if there were HomeLink buttons. I know you mention it but the owners manual for the Calligraphy trim doesn't so was hoping to get visual confirmation myself from a video
Hyundai documents say Limited and Calligraphy have Homelink and it had buttons on both sides (one set to adjust mirror settings and I assume the other for Homelink). I can double check tomorrow but I am 99% sure it does.
They are in production now so I would say about 4-6 weeks and you should see the first units on lots. Many of them are pre-sold so make sure to get on your dealers list ASAP.
@CarsMadeSimple - the US spec Calligraphy spec sheet also states: ""H" Signature Interior Lighting (c/pad)" . I cannot figure out what this refers to. Could you see if you can find out while there and take a video/photo. thanks!
I have a 22 Calligraphy, done in 6 months. If get another would have to get another Calligraphy. Final nail being dark headliner with black interior. Limited has light headliner, hate that. Not sure yet what doing though in general. Good presentation man. I’ll subscribe.
@@CarsMadeSimple I think they could have gone more modern and written out SANTA FE on the hood, like the Ford Explorer ST and Expedition Stealth Performance does. But that may have made it look even more Land Rover-ish (which I don't see as a bad choice). Hoping that they make the front and rear emblems easy enough to remove, without alignment holes underneath them, so they can be removed for a cleaner look.
Nice video. I have a 23’ calligraphy and I love it. I like the look of the new gen in general but I HAAAAATE gloss black everything….. wheels, wheel arches, interior touch points…….. what a disaster of design (for me……. I know it’s subjective ). But seriously……… does anybody like gloss black interior touch points? What are they thinking? Make it be a dark faux carbon fiber and it looks and holds up so much better. They shouldn’t force you into black wheels on the calligraphy either. And that sunroof is lame, a massive downgrade from the 23’. Sigh…….

Thank you! Sorry to hear about your prior vehicles.
Another relevant review of a vehicle many Americans are interested in. You did another good job with your review.
Thank you!!
@@CarsMadeSimple You're welcome brother.

Thank you. One of the few channels that show the Calligraphy and hybrid. These models are not even on Hyundai's website yet!
Yessir! The Calligraphy are arriving any day now and production for Hybrid should commence later this month.
Thanks for the production update. I had wondered what delay was. Can't wait to see the Calligraphy.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!

They sure are! I agree with the power 2nd row seats. The slide function should always be "manual" or like seen here for the speed it provides.
Great vid. First Calligraphy vid i have seen.
Def a good redesign for those who need storage and 3rd row.

Hyundai Santa Defender!!🙌🙌
More like Santa DeFender 😂😂
@NileshR12 I like what you did there! Too clever!!! 😂😂😂

I like the last gen's santa fe that had continuous panoramic sunroof instead of split panel

You're right! I must've gotten it confused with Palisade. Still an interesting omission on this model given the upgrades.
Loving the design! They came a looooong way since their twrrible goofy look from 15 years ago

Are we able to place orders on the hybrid yet? Or pre-sale?
Also, do all trim levels tow?

I really wish it was a full pano roof. Maybe a refrigerated cooler in the console between front seats. Massage function in the front seats.

Massaging could be in infotainment screen.
Separating glass roofing give a vehicle more structural rigidity.
According to korean reviews, the massage function has a button directly on the driver’s door amongs the other buttons to choose a profile.
I don't believe so
Any idea on a release date for the calligraphy?

Unfortunately I didn't spot exactly what this meant either 🙁
@@CarsMadeSimple ok. Thanks for trying.
Are they planning on a PHEV version?
Unfortunately we won't be getting the PHEV version this time around. Overseas it will be available!
That's a bummer. That's the sweet spot in the EV space IMO

that what I won't
when it comes out
The Calligraphy should start to be available in the next 4-8 weeks.

They should have ditched that style of Hyundai Logo for this radical of a redesign. It feels like a 1990's carryover onto a future vehicle.
It looks good with the updated logo (stainless steel) with the black accents!

За задние фонари дизайнера на кол.
Get rid of that old logo, ruins the look.
Cheap Range Rover 👍
3rd row seating is useless on anything but a minivan.

Can we say ford flex

It's definitely very similar to a Ford Flex, which I also like the looks of
