Thank you Olga for inspiring this 60 year old to try out this incredible technique. Grew up thinking that painting was only for painters so I never lifted a brush, however you've shown me that painting is more about one's imagination which can be limitless!
Your last paragraph above (I started my art journey) brought tears to my eyes, because it had the same exact impact on my life. I've been at it for a year now. I love all the artists who take the time to share and teach. You are all awesome! My life is SO MUCH BRIGHTER with painting in my life. Thank you all SO VERY MUCH!
At first I thought you were going to just leave the swipes, but then you blew them out.....wow! That was the clencher for me. Added so much to a simple Dutch Pour. Beautiful composition and colors. Lori💙
Merci Olga, depuis presque 1an je suis vos création et vraiment vous m'avez appris a aimer ce style de peinture.C'est vraiment un plaisir de vous voir faire et de sentir cette sensibilité qui est en vous.S'il vous plait continuez!!
I have been wanting to try a painting with only paint and water, but have been afraid of how the paints blend so much. This turned out so perfect, Your paints were a good consistency and didn't get lost or blend too much either. I love it. After seeing this I think I will give it a shot. Thank you!!!
Olga, you are so talented. The end of my blow dryer has its own artwork lol. I'm a beginner and learning from so many sources and I hope to be half as good as you are eventually. Thank you so much for sharing your art.
I am new to the acrylic pouring community and find a lot of inspiration in you and your work! Beautiful to watch the creations take shape; thank you SO much for sharing olga!
@@OlgaSoby beautiful❤❤❤❤ after creating do you have to top it with a gloss or something or is it ready to hang as is? I'm new to the art(just wondering).
I love that you swiped afterwards! So much paint gets lost under the white when it's flooded in this type of dutch pour. I think that's why Kanella Ciraco stopped flooding her canvas with white on her Dutch pours. Maybe you could redo these colors doing that style? I think you would really like it!
Thank you. I just recently got into paint pouring and was saving up to buy all the supplies. After watching you, I can start now because I didn’t know you could do it without floetrol or resin. I’m excited.

40 videos later I believe you can combine a dutch pour with swiping it must be nice to document the moments you come into your own with me it is always happy accidents cause I am focused on what I am doing I lose track of what I planned to do...hahaha plans! Painting is easy for me I have been painting for over 40 years doing these pours are always nerve racking I started doing them to relax from actual painting. Who would have thought a 60+ hour painting would be less stressful than dumping paint on a canvas. Humbling.
Lol😊 I learned that hard way too. For me it comes down to the way approach art. Before it was like in school - if I'm very happy - like got an "A" then it's great, everything else was causing depression and frustration. Now, it's a journey and fun😉 Also, I started getting a second opinion from my hubby and it really made a difference😀

Thank you Rael, and yes Rinske has always been doing her technique this way, but unfortunately this mixture doesn't work for all the techniques. And also not every paint will work well when mixed with a large amount of water, so it has to be a pretty high quality paint.
@@OlgaSoby yes, it’s a waste of time using low grade paint. I agree with you about the different techniques- they all need to be different consistencies. I worked on Dutch Pours for 3 months - canvas after canvas painted over, good paints wasted - until I nailed the consistency. Now I teach it and my students have the benefit of that consistency from lesson 1. Still painting is all about sharing. I use different consistencies for every type of pour, but I always use highly pigmented paint. I’m in palliative care and I love it that on a bad pain day I can still produce something lovely!

Go for it! I think, when mixing paint with water only, it really help if paint is not very fluid to begin with. So medium or heavy body work best

Yes, the Dutch pour patterns were too soft. The swipes added bolder streaks of color to the composition. It was the right decision.
