What a lovely holiday in Greece! The weight is just falling off of you and Dean (I know it’s not just that easy, and you guys have been working hard at it…eating healthier and all), and I wanted to say how great you both look, and you must be feeling better, too. I’m happy for you both.👏☺️💕💕
Absolutely loved this travel vlog to Crete, Greece. I had to watch it a few times. You and Dean are looking really great ! Looking forward to the next one !
I love watching your adventures and Crete looks wonderful! My dad was actually stationed in Crete when he was a young airman, back in the 60’s. He loved it and brought back some wonderful pictures and stories of his adventures. Thank you for sharing your trip with us 💕
A little bit irrelevant but the character of Robin Williams in "Good Morning, Vietnam" (based on a real person) was an airman stationed in Crete that was sent in Vietnam in 1965. I was just wondering if you and your dad have noticed this or know even more details. (If you haven't noticed this detail in the movie, just search "Cretan Camouflage" on RUclips. I'll reply with the link below)
You're not a loser for having flowers! Ive been reading a book about the old money elite family ways and they love having fresh flowers in the house.💜🌸🌼🌻
Aw I went to Rethymnon on my honeymoon! We got married in Limassol in Cyprus (where my husbands family is from) and traveled to Crete straight after. We unfortunately experienced really bad storms while we were there so didn’t get to enjoy the beaches or pool, but thankfully the town itself was gorgeous so we spent the entire holiday holed up in cafes and restaurants drawing. We are both illustrators! It was such an inspiring place, we loved it! This brought back some lovely memories 🥰 thank you! X
Greek coffee - guaranteed to put 'airs on yer chest. And Greek families that I've been friends with - serve the stuff all day. You're flying by the end of a visit. And they feed you All The Time. Once I did a couple of months work for Greeks that owned a restaurant. I put on 2 bloody stone by the end of the job. What a lovely place and holiday it looks. Did you ever see the book called "cats of the Greek Islands"? That's what the cat reminded me of.
I could literally watch your travel vlogs all day! It looked so pretty in Crete ❤️ I'm just about to start learning Greek but it's sooo hard haha! I'm sure I could live there....it's got such a lovely vibe. You and Dean are also looking really well ☺️ Is Dean over the Dumping syndrome you mentioned before? Can't wait for the next vlog xx
Did you happen to be there the end of June, beginning of July? We were staying just on the outskirts of Rethymno and the festival was just beginning, or certainly a very similar one. We also ate in the Koo Koo cafe but had less healthy giant pancakes. 😂
Can I ask for a ballpark of how much you spent not including flights ? I'm going in 3 weeks and only staying about a week but an estimate would help me prep
Hi there. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 I’ve just started my journey towards gastric bypass surgery. It takes a while here to be approved for surgery. I think I’m about 1/2 way through. Question: I was told not to drink coffee for at least 6 months after surgery and be caffeine free for 3 months prior. I see you are drinking coffee. Is it decaf? That’s been the hardest hurdle so far for me. I love my morning coffee.
Its not actually, I've been drinking normal coffee, but my surgeon and dietitian didn't say I had to drink decaff however every surgery is different so I would take the advice of your specific surgeon! Hope that helps!
sad. now so much like other tourist destinations and so modernized. charm and crete's aura has been so diminished. so many cars and people. how I now truly appreciate the crete of 50 years ago. I saw even knossos does not let u roam without restrictions. u cud do as u pleased and we left things as we found things. happy and sad for the population...modern gains but sacrificed so much for them
Thank you so much Kat for visiting our country!!! Very happy you enjoyed and expressed such beautiful descriptions!
I've been there a few times. Love the restaurants, Camari Gardens, the family that runs it, and all the environment.

🤣🤣🤣 I lost weight actually!
