Good review. Beat the game recently myself, took me almost 2 years. Considering I was 20 levels under the recommended amount by the time I got to area 3 😂 Also there are hidden dragon instructors that teach Dorothy and crew new skills. Extremely important if you want any chance to beat this game especially with a spell like “heal”. And there are also dark ghosts, rare but deadly enemies that drop tons of EXP and an ultimate equipment. Facing one head on is surely an instant party wipe out.
Emerald city confidential is worth a play if you want to see wizard of oz media based on the books, although it's a point and click adventure and not an rpg
I wonder if The Sword of Etheria is more to your liking because it's basically a Wizard of Oz game but.. rebranded because I assume Konami feared nobody in the 2000s would remember that story or something. It's a PS2 game!
