When I did my military service, we got shown a video in a classroom at the military base. However it was pretty brutal, it included people getting blown up by artillery and screaming in pain. At the end the most shocking part of the video was when a young man's face in the middle of a warzone was hardcut to a boy sitting in an exactly same classroom we were sitting in. The reality of war, which is a nightmare is presented honestly to everyone doing the military service. That's important to preserve trust in the conscription system.

For those totally clueless as to who would carry out an armed invasion of finland (or Estonia), it is Russia. If you are thinking, "Hey Russia wouldn't start a shooting war in modern times!" Then you are dead wrong. Don't forget Russia carried out an armed invasion of Georgia already.
@connection lost Georgia with Russian "peace keepers" in South Ossetia and Abkhazia then in 2008 Russia invaded. Then you also have Russia invading Ukraine by taking the Crimea in 2014 and sending military troops to support the Donbass region. And let's not forget Russians in Moldova. So both Ukraine and Georgia have been invaded by Russia.

If you think the Russian Military isn't competent and capable, you're kidding yourself. This is a great little propaganda video for Finland. I like it, but if this were simulating a Russian Invasion (and lets face it, that is what they are implying here.) It wouldn't be a single missile strike, and a platoon of soldiers capturing an airport. Russia has 50 times the amount of people active duty, and 10 times the numbers in reserve. Aircraft? 4,163 to only 194 873 of those are combat aircraft, to 55 for finland. of which finland has ZERO dedicated attack aircraft, compared to the 742 of Russia. Helos, 127 to 1,522, of which attack helos make up 531 for Russia, 0 for finland. Combat tanks, 200 for finland, 12,950 for Russia. Armored Vehicles? 2050 vs 27,038. Self-Propelled Artillery? 100 vs 6,083 Field Artillery? 627 vs 4,465 Rocket Artillery? 75 vs 3,860 Naval Power. Total Fleet size, 246 to 603 Aircraft Carriers 0 vs 1 Submarines, 0 vs 62 Destroyers 0 vs 16 Frigates 0 vs 10 Corvettes (not the car...) 0 vs 79 Coastal Patrol 8 vs 41 Mine Warfare 18 vs 48. This doesn't even include the Kirov Battlecruisers When it comes down to resources, it's even worse. Russia is a far more powerful and competent military power than Finland. Finland's ONLY hope is that all of NATO joins in on the fight, but the threat of nuclear warfare becomes a real danger. Like I said, great piece of propaganda; I think it's a cool video and would love to see other countries do this; but don't kid yourself, "Ivan" is far larger and scarier than Finland alone would ever be.
The Finnish President had to resign, to allow for the new president to invalidate the Ryti-Ribbentrop agreement so that Finland could sue for peace, because the soviet union had weakened them to the point they were no longer able to resist.
LMFAO Stupid fucking youtube deleted my comment. I'm not writing out that again. I'll briefly recap. You're wrong, Finland's military is also conscripts. Russia's conscription is in line with most european countries that require a year of service, with exceptions being allowed to bypass that requirement. Finnish-Soviet War was literally right in the middle of World War 2, and the second half of it Finland had Nazi Germany's support. Both materially and militarily. They literally committed an entire Luftwaffe Detachment, and 80,000 Nazi Soldiers to reinforce where Finland was most vulnerable. They sent hundreds of thousands of anti-tank weapons to the Soviets, whom were also still modernizing their military after the purges. Finland was forced to sack their president when Germany was losing, so that they could sue for peace, meaning they surrendered to the Soviet Union. They had to pay the USSR about 5.7 billion dollars in today's money. Which is like 5 X their national defense budget today. The finns absolutely bloodied the Soviet's nose, but the Soviet's ground their military to dust and they were unable to resist any further.
@Bob It would be like saying America Won vietnam, just because they killed more people than the vietcong and NVA did. That's now how war works, it isn't about your K/D/A.

the name is was talking about at 18:20 is Mike Hunt (lmfao HAHAHA) just how people use MIke Hawk
Now this is what a competent and capable military looks like. Take notes Ivan
100 vs 6,083
Field Artillery? 627 vs 4,465
Rocket Artillery? 75 vs 3,860
Naval Power.
Total Fleet size, 246 to 603
Aircraft Carriers 0 vs 1
Submarines, 0 vs 62
Destroyers 0 vs 16
Frigates 0 vs 10
Corvettes (not the car...) 0 vs 79
Coastal Patrol 8 vs 41
Mine Warfare 18 vs 48.
This doesn't even include the Kirov Battlecruisers
When it comes down to resources, it's even worse.
I'm pretty sure I understand war and war strategy about 100 times better than you do "Bob"
@Bob It would be like saying America Won vietnam, just because they killed more people than the vietcong and NVA did. That's now how war works, it isn't about your K/D/A.
Greetings from Poland !!!!
Heads up btw that gun in the background can get you taken down it goes against the guildlines but if you put the video not for children then you should be fine. Cool video even though I needed to read subtitles it's cool either way to see other special forces and army's from around the world
Hey artur I've been curious for a while now what type of firearms do you use in Estonia?
