In this breath of the wild video I figured out what the best fuel for the master cycle zero was

breath of the wild with Link and the master cycle from the champion's ballad DLC. Zelda and guardians with super Mario Odessey music. this is similar to beating breath of the wild without leaving the great plateau
Referring to Kilton as a crypto scammer is possibly the funniest yet most accurate description I've heard of him

After I bought everything from the “crypto scammer” I thought he didn’t have much use anymore but I guess he’s a gas station now.
Basically you sell monster parts to get mon, and give him HIS OWN currency back that no one of hyrule uses.
Instead of using 5 monster extracts use 2 or 3 and some ancient screws or apples and it fills up the tank
I love how at the end we hear your voice now, but then the pre-recorded outro starts and your voice just jumps a million octaves higher

Although using 5 extracts fills the tank, you do have to collect monster parts first and then buy them 20 at a time and then scroll through your inventory to select it. Also the Fang and Bone is only open at night, which is annoying.
Personally, I always use 10 apples because even though it takes 2 goes to fill the tank, apples are right at the beginning of your materials and you're likely to collect an enormous amount of them through regular gameplay anyway.

And the mastercycle is really just a really hungry horse with wheels instead of legs when you really get down to it. Just ask bon jovi.
For me I put 2 monster extracts and 3 apples, it fully refills the mastercycle
You can also sell apples for pure profit if you burn them

I did always find it interesting that the electric chu jelly gives less energy then the plain jelly. Made me wonder if the blue liquid the shrines and tablet use relate to the material the jelly is made from. thats why the more "pure" form gives more energy then the charged jelly

Here's a tip to go with this: unlike enemies and weapons, materials don't respawn every Blood Moon. Rather, every second Link is not in the same map area as the material, it has a 1% chance of respawning.
so just go somewhere else
Afk or Bed (idk if bed-time-skip will count towards seconds passed or not)
then grab again
I'm pretty sure it's every minute, otherwise 5 minutes would have a 95% change to respawn it.
Also I think you have to be at least two map tiles away, so yeah basically just far away

Do you know the multiplier rates of the whole 1/50th category? I know you said cores are x2 and monster extracts are x32 for a set of five. And do they affect other multiplier items? Great chart and video by the way
@@stevep9177 all the multiplier items give 2x fuel. I'm unsure what the equation is because it doesn't seem consistent.
@@stevep9177 5 extracts equal 32x because the boost stacks. So it's 2^5, of 2*2*2*2*2.
Though unless I'm bad at math, 4 should fill the tank fine?
4/50 (base rate) times 16 should be 64/50.

@@researchinbreeder Wouldn’t 2 apples and 3 extracts also do the trick? (1/10+1/10)x2x2x2 is 8/5, which is close to double a full tank.
Wouldn't the best thing be a 1/10th item and then add in monster extract?
I mean the theoretical most from an item would be a 1/10th and 4 extracts giving 1.6 full tanks. But obviously any combo that gives more than a full tank is useless. 3 extracts and a 1/10 item would give 0.8 tanks and would be more efficient as the amount given from the extracts base value should bring you close or above a full tank
@@shepherd6692 something is off in the video, since if the monster extract is 1/50th, then 5 of them should be 32/50ths. 1/10 * 16 (or 2/10 * 8) should come out more efficient than 1/50 * 32. I'm not sure which part of the formula is wrong though.
Edit: ah, I just now understand that each extract gives a base value too, like you said. So it's 5/50 * 32, etc
So your telling me that a concentrated mixture of 5 bottles of monster extract all at once is the equivalent of modern day gasoline.
Great video, you actually got something wrong that is a big misconception. A blood moon does not restore materials only monsters. Materials have 1 chance out of so many allocated squares of the world every night. This is covered in one of Crotons random fact videos about the game
Extremely neato, gotta be honest I stopped playing this a while back. The game managed to fulfill every expectation and more, so once I’d finally beaten up an old guy and stolen his bike, I really didn’t know what to do anymore since the game had clearly peaked.

@@thisiswhatilike54 Blow up trees with bombs and then cook the wood. Eating wood is a viable strat and it works disturbingly well if tend to tank attacks like me.
I happened across the fact that 5 monster extract filled the tank up through random trial and error ages ago, but I always wondered if that was the ideal way and I'm glad to see that I was correct lol
I knew the strat of 3 apples but 2 monster extracts from a reddit post not long ago, but didn't know how it actually worked. They framed it as the monster extract giving more fuel if it was held last (??? super weird) but this explanation now made me understand. Great video, thanks!
you can use 3 wood and 2 extract to get a full tank for a bit cheaper and if you're using glitches you can inventory corrupt to get 999 of any of the boost fuels
It's been a minute since I played BotW; there's a drop attack right? Does its damage scale with the height from which you dropped? If so, what is the most damage you could do with one? (Assuming my memory isn't playing me, lol!)
this might be wrong, but i believe it only increases the area of the attack, not the damage

This is some good quality for 50k subs. Doubly so for anyone also balancing school and/or a traditional job as well, as potentially suggested by your voice. Hopefully that doesn't come off as patronizing or pretentious.
I currently use ancient screws because I have over 800 of them, and every blood moon I can just farm guardians again and replenish my stores, I recommend it for anyone late in the game.
Edit: it takes 10 total, in 2 tries to fill to full
I've been thinking abt this and I've got two potential vids if you're ever out of ideas:
1- in mario 8, when the road splits into two (like sweet sweet canyon or ice ice outpost), which side is better?
2: also in mario 8, which shortcuts are actually worth it?
Pro tip: you can knock down a very large number of apples with a blizzard rod
I always just used the remains of whatever I ran over with it. Seemed poetic to literally fuel my vehicle with the blood of my enemies.
I killed so many guardians that I had 999 screws by the end of the game. I had no shortage of fuel.

I suggest 2 apples and 2 monster extract to get 4/5 of a tank since this way you don’t use over the fuel limit

i always used guardian screws cause they are easy to obtain when you go on a guardian killing spree
But you have to admit it's nice that the bike works on the same Mr Fusion like engine like in Back to the Future.
I knew about the cheap items being better for the Cycle so I just assumed apples were the best fuel. I didn’t know about the buffing fuels.

I actually think the refuel frequency is perfect, halfway across the map for a full tank is more than enough in a map where you have more than 141 teleportation points
Hey there thank you for the video! One slight correction, you don’t have to wait for the blood moon. The time has a 1% chance to respawn every minutes so after an hour or two they should all be back thanks again!
I always just used Wood, because it was easy to find and low impact on my overall utility in my inventory, since there are so many ways to make fires in Botw, but I didn't know about the multiplier effect. useful info, thanks.

The only problem with monster extract is that Kilton is so inconvenient to find sometimes. I’ll have to stock up on it though because the Master Cycle is simply the best way to move around

How can a voice be so gender neutral? Also how does the math work for 5 monster extracts being enough? 1/50 needs a 64x multiplier if you only can double, because 64 is 2^6

Personally I like the idea of my vehicle being fueled by the blood of my enemies... Well their body parts anyway... But considering the exchange rate of parts to mon to buy extract wouldn't we just be better off using those monster parts as fuel to begin with?
I have 50 ancient cores just from the fact that I'm going for 100% and have put 200 hours into this game, and have killed every single guardian on the map multiple times over. I think I'm good on those lmao
my go-to fuel was always bokoblin fangs, by the time I reached the master cycle I'd always have at least 600+ saved up, which lasts ages, but I'd love to try this out too
For me the big problem with the master cyle is not so much fuel, even if it was harder to fill up, but it's low capacity.
I much rather have all the save filling up values or worse, but have like 2x or 3x the max tank.
I suppose it's only like that so not completely outclass the horse in just doing raw distance treks. Just using the bike for short distances or particulary rough terrain you otherwise have to walk considerable cuts fuel use.
I typically just use wood. Not exactly hard to keep a stack over 100. If I run low, trees aren't exactly uncommon
Without glitches I already have hundreds of guardian parts with no glitches. You just have to be dumb enough to enjoy hunting guardians like me.
personally I just use chuchu jelly. I never use it for anything else and it fills up half a tank when you hold five of them. It’s abundant too. You’re always running into chuchus

You get the bike late game. I’m not sure what the earliest possible time you can get it. A lot of the times I’ll forget I have it but I never drive it long enough for the fuel to be a pain for me. I just grab two handfuls of whatever junk I have a lot of. I wouldn’t have thought a full tank only makes it halfway across the map though. So yeah. It could probably get annoying. But I like the fuel mechanic in the game. Makes use of all the crap I hoarded. And you have so many places to just fast travel to anyway. I did use it a lot looking for the last few shrines though.
Yo, so I do some BMX tricks and montages on the cycle and I only use ancient screws for fuel bc I've got a ton of them lmao, cba to do anything else than biking so yeah I just use what I have

Using the ancient parts glitch for cycle fuel would quite possibly be the biggest waste of time in the world lol.
apples. there’s about 150 on satori mountain and i go there every blood moon, and 5 fills up half the tank
2:16. No, you wouldn't have to wait for another blood moon because materials have a 1% chance to respawn every minute that you are not near that material so you only have to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes.

I feel like the mcz is just an item the devs thought completionist players could use all their excess items for as fuel in order to more quickly complete the harder or more drawn out tasks in the game.
It seems like 2 boost, 2 really good, and 2 good/bad materials would be the most efficient
I use two monster extracts and 2 rock salts, everybody has tons of rock salt and, they are next to each other in the inventory, and it’s a much cheaper instant fill
Apples will give as much as guardian parts. Just stock up on satori mountain and you will be good for a road trip
