Wasn't expecting you to do the X1 which I often get as my other half is from Northern Ireland. I often travel on those SC5 B11R's and I'm no stranger to the ones you got to Dublin & Belfast (1126 & 1122). The ALX400 you saw at the Airport is one of the around 15 left in the fleet. Hope you enjoyed Dublin and snapping the fleet since we've quiet a unique fleet to the UK!

I'm flying into Dublin on Tuesday and am getting the x1 from the airport to belfast. I normally use the aircoach but because our flight gets in late, the x1 was my only choice. I'm glad you've shown the fact that there's a charging port as when I arrive in Belfast I will need to get my taxi and I'm sure my charge will almost be finished with all the travelling. Also sorry if I missed it, does the x1 have WiFi?

You need to visit Dublin. I was there last week probably when you were there, and it's a bus spotters dream. Well, if you like Wrightbus Gemini 2's and 3''s and Alexander Dennis Enviro400's. No more Bombardeers in Dublin... They have hundreds of Gemini's though. As the Republic of Ireland and the UK have agreed a 'common travel area', you don't actually need a passport to visit Dublin. Just valid ID. It was £38 from Leeds/Bradford to Dublin airport return and it's just a 40 minute flight, but Ryanair site still requires you to enter passport details for you to advance. I stayed 2 nights in a hotel at Beresford Place in Dublin, across the road from the coach terminus you arrived at in Dublin on the X1, last Tuesday and Wednesday. At Dublin airport, theres a shop that sells tickets for 3.30 Euro and that gives you 90 minutes unlimited travel from the first bus you catch so easy and cheap to get into Dublin centre. Although if you have the exact fare in Euros, you don't need a pre-paid ticket. You can pay on the bus but you need exact fare. It's been decades since I've seen buses with hoppers and notices demanding 'Exact Fare Only'... Come on TFI, invest in contactless technology... From the airport, head into Dublin on the No 16 Bus heading to Ballinteer which travels via O'Connell Street smack bang in the centre of Dublin. This journey itself takes you through the suburbs of Dublin and is better than the open top bus tour. At O'connell Street, you get off after 45 minute journey close to the spire. There. You've no excuse not to visit Dublin now... Oh, Did you find 'The Silver Penny' Wetherspoons in Dublin. It was 5 minutes from the X1 coach terminus.

Aircoach do have a Belfast base for the 705X service but Dublin based coaches will show up on the serivce if belfast are short of a coach or breakdown cover also ulsterbus also take £ and Euro's if you buy from the driver but not if you buy online from the Translink Website. the driver is issued with a Company Phone to Scan the QR Code as your ticket is for the Serivce you book ulsterbus will be replacing them Ticket machines sometime during 2022 they currently use the TGX150 but metro have as of Monday 28th of march 2022 started using the wayfare 6 ticket machines. the metro and Ulsterbus fleet apart form the Goldline coaches have seat belts are they would do schools work where they are required
