Recently I'm getting addicted to this song, especially around the beginning part because the despair and the anger come out spontaneously and strongly like ever. It's a knot between their style and Depeche I easily became fond of. I might listen to it even ten times in a row but never getting tired, it's this stout and mighty! Love them, whatever they provide!
@maskedcrusader Yeah, these days it's a guy called Morgan Nicholls playing the synth, but before they used a backing track that Dom started with a foot pedal. They do use a click track to keep in time though. There is a recording of their set at Wembley on the 11th of September this year from the band's personal in-ear plugs, where you can hear the click track.
@livelaughlove0818 "See the future on the run, running away, and our judgement has begun" :) it was earlier lyrics but I like the new one better :) Recent lyrics change that he has made is "since I lost you" which made this song even more emotional
@maskedcrusader Look to Doms' left, behind Chris, and you will see the 'fourth member' of Muse, busy with the all the synth & electronic sounds. They use him for most of their live performances but he is rarely filmed directly. I think his name is Morgan Nicholls.
Can someone please explain to me how MUSE does all the synth stuff when Matt is on guitar? I mean it doesn't make sense to me how he can time all the keyboards parts without playing to a click track or something. Or is someone backstage working the synth sounds...? I just always wanted to do know how they do that.
