- A trailblazing project is setting a new standard for affordable housing in Canada. Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex and the innovative team at the @UWindsor and @Nidus3D are taking a significant leap forward into the future of housing construction by developing Canada's first 3D printed multi-unit residential homes.
This initiative, located in the welcoming community of Leamington, is more than a construction project-it's a beacon of hope for the over 10,500 families in Windsor and Essex County in need of affordable living solutions. Leveraging the latest in 3D printing technology, this venture not only aims to address the critical housing shortage but also to revolutionize the way we think about building communities.

Congratulations on building homes in Canada 🇨🇦
Some cities like Toronto, Vancouver ... so on, the lot price is really expensive. So 3d printed home may be more effective for where lot price is low
Great Idea, Is houses still going to cost a million dollars, then what is the point.
Canada needs to focus on moving cities north instead of building over farmland. Lots of fresh water lakes north of barrie that could support towns and cities. Lake Huron has hundreds of km of undeveloped shoreline.
3D printing is interesting, hopefully it can assist in building a house with less workers required.
Though I think prefab homes built in central factories and shipped to the build site in modules is probably the better way bring down the cost of construction.
This is great 'but' People will need to buy Land for these homes, and Land ain't cheap either !!
Awesome technology, poor video presentation.
