Made pastrami out of so many geese from this past season. I didn't use this recipe but did use a recipe that calls for a brine for the breasts to sit in for about 5 days. Makes a great snack while hunting, or just something to take to work as lunch.
Awesome! I fully expected the Instagram/Snapchat/Twitter to go flying when you sneezed! A very honest and nicely done presentation of that recipe! I will have to give it a try! Thanks!
If you've not read it yet, check out Hank Shaw's book "Duck Duck Goose". It's the best game recipe cookbook out there in my opinion. It's slightly more elevated cooking (he's a professional chef) but the recipes are top notch!
I have a somewhat similar version I've been doing for years. If we ever get a chance to meet, I'll give you some to try. I've been thinking about doing more videos too.
Hey I just ordered a big fish 120 for fishing but I also want to use it for duck hunting, what blind should I put on it and what gear/decoy sled should I use
Omg, these were delicious! My friend who hunts all the time, did this and brought me a piece of this over today......holy shit! I couldn't eat it fast enough! Next time I will try it with some spicy mustard!
Just started watching your videos. Enjoy watching. Keep up the good work!
Dude, so good. Made this recipe twice now, if ya over cook it a tad and it ends up like jerky, it’s equally if not better. Mind blown

I'm trying this right now. On day 2 in the fridge, on the smoker tomorrow.

Did you brine the meat before curing?

You should try some pulled goose
Try corned beef recipe on goose, same kind of curing involved, you won't be disappointed

What flavor pellets did you use?
Hickory. Thanks for asking. I should have put that in the video.
you can use anything. the recipe says any fruitwood, but it really doesnt seem to have large effect. i've used apple, cherry and hickory
@@OutdoorLimits Thanks for replying. I understand you can use whatever, but i was just curious as to what you used.
Haha I thought you were lying when you said you were making it for your next video.
Just a question. Why would you put a rub on the goose breasts if you already have it cured for pastrami?? Personal choice? It's not a brisket.
Do a hunters haul unboxing
You need to steam it after you smoke it, otherwise it looks great!
