Yes,they are expensive but they are worth it.I have had several cavaliers,male and female,and they are the best dogs.People spend 10 to 12 thousand dollars on a cruise.My dogs cost 5 thousand and is worth every Penny.The shedding is not a problem with these new cordless vacuums so I vacuum every day.Only takes 5 to 10 minutes max.They are a real companion,so loving and trusting and playful.
Yes Cavaliers are the most adorable dogs, I know because I have had nine over the years. The worst thing about owning them is that they will almost certainly develop Mitral valve disease. This will shorten their lives but by how much will depend on their age when it starts and how fast it progresses. It does not mean they cannot have a reasonably long life usually with medication. I have one now who is 16 which is a great age for a Cavalier, I also had one that died aged 8. Even so I would not let it stop me owning these dear little dogs, that have brought so much joy into my life.
They don't all have health problems. If they do they can be cared for properly and live a long life. I have had 2 that have left me. Dusty died of age, he was 14, Durches was a few years younger, she had liver problems and wouldn't eat anything,. My Dutches #2 that I have now will be 3 in March. She is my angel girl. She's like a locomotive, always on the go and always glad to see you . They are just full of love and companionship .
I had a Cavalier and I couldn’t find anything negative about her. My Saylor died of cancer in her eighth year. I so miss her. I love how she would chase a leaf on our walks or pick up a small branch and carry it for a while. She would walk up to people and stare at them until they would pet her. I will be getting another one some day. Life is just too hard without her.❤❤
I had two golden retrievers. Never had such beautiful animals. The shedding was bad though. It was like tumbleweed flowing through the rooms. Miss them. They were wonderful when I exercised them daily while jogging back in the day. I trained them well and was so proud of them. One passed at 8 the other at 15. Broke my heart. It has been 12 years already and I am looking for a new best friend dog.
We have a cavalier and she is 5 months old her name is honey and I agree with the shedding thing but I honestly love her hair glitter 🪩😂🥰 we have a wet and dry vacuum and it really helps plus I brush her 3x a day and we both actually really enjoy it she gets pampered and I get to fuss over her ❤️😂❤ mum of three boys human boys so to have a Girl in the house I can brush wash and fuss over my life is so complete ✨🥰✨
