At the end of the platforms, why didn't they just place a wall between the platform and the track, so it would become a normal passageway like the end of South Horizons? Station? 2. As the East Concourse was originally intended for the separate Rumsey Station, did they reserve space for facilities such as a Station Control Room? 3. After the works in 2012, is the platform still there behind the wall, or is it filled in? 4. Why are all the exits in the East Concourse sub-exits of Exit E? Does the E represent East as in East Concourse?
I'm not an expert in HK railways but I just have some guesses to what you ask, and I leave it to someone else to correct, confirm or supplement my guesses 1. Not too sure what you mean as I didn't know the South Horizons Station well enough... 2. Wikipedia information stated that such facilities were built in the eastern concourse originally for Rumsey Station. 3. I have no clue but my guess is that they just build a thin wall without filling it up completely (Don't see what's the point to do that even if the platform remains unused forever) 4. From observation, the "alphabetical numbering" of MTR exits follows the pattern that a "main branch" of exit with little "small branches / outlets" at the end would usually be named under the same alphabet with an number suffix (A1, A2, A3...) whereas different "main branches" would be named with different alphabets (A, B, C...). For the eastern concourse, if memory sticks, it's mostly if not entirely just one large branch with 5 smaller exits underneath Infinitus Plaza (or at least that's what the Wikipedia mentioned), so I guess this is why it's been grouped under one alphabet, and this is some what similar to Hang Fa Chuen Station, having just a single branch of exits A1 and A2 that leads to different wings of the same plaza. As to the choice of E, I guess it's simply random? It seems this group of exits would only either be given A or E because the other end of the concourse has 4 "main branch" exits.

上環站月台較正常月台長約40公尺,曾長年誤傳為隧道圖則設計失誤所致,但真實原因乃當年德輔道中已滿佈建築物,興建上環站通風口及站體結構時相距較遠,因此需透過延長月台長度以打通兩處。在加裝全高式月台門之前,多出來的月台邊緣曾設有欄杆,防止乘客在該處候車或墮軌;後來在安裝全高式月台門的時候,改以玻璃幕牆代替。
但點解要係月台延長,而唔係做職員專用範圍?可以慳返啲裝修,起窄啲都得。我覺得片段所講嘅可能性高啲

北京地鐵2號線東四十條站也有預留月台給3號線使用,唯獨車站啟用將近40年以來一直處於荒廢狀態。
但是近年來終於要興建3號線的時候,由於原有預留路軌長度同闊度不能滿足3號線列車的規格,所以預留路軌將被填上,原先預留月台改為轉車大堂,3號線月台會在該預留區域下方興建。

比較在意 7:28 個地圖顯示原本港島西線打算起到去青洲(GIR - 即Green Island) 甚至一路延伸去到大嶼山,不過去到而家青洲都仲係一個無人島
其實係去明日大嶼,不過如果真係落實起,我覺得港島綫會有機會延伸
因為當時港英政府諗住西環填海連續青洲,但由於水流、航道及環境問題擱置。

真架,我唔係香港人,我以前試過直落到底,我以為不嬲都係咁Tim。猛鬼月台,仲傳聞當年唔止死左一個Tim。諗起都寒,無啦啦直落到底。

好細個果時,第一次去自己去上環站唔識搵出口,因為果時大多數都係o係九龍果邊座地鐵,慣咗上到大堂先搵出口,結果1/2 ga機會撞錯咗,上錯大堂搵唔到個出口😂

首先創業商場個出口係俾屈地站用,而唔係西營盤站。第二,因為西港島綫走綫由原本行德輔道西地底遷入山邊,如果要用到嗰個首先要駁到好長,而且最多只係起到電梯,咁樣對西區班老人家唔方便
