I love seeing love given to the unpopulars. My personal ten favorite from that tier are:
1: Yuka. She's my favorite koala and I was so excited to see her as a starting villager of mine in my second New Leaf town. I'm genuinely surprised she's not super popular.
2: Pierce. I took him in my second New Leaf town because he looked kind of anxious (I can relate, I struggle with a couple anxiety disorders) and he's been amazing. I never once regret taking him and he is now my favorite eagle (Avery is my second favorite tho)
3: Angus. I got him in Wild World and he's officially my boyfriend and one of my favorite crankies. I just love him so much and despite him being like my sixth villager, he was the first one to give me his picture of any of my games (Wild World was my third game) and he gave me it after not too long. I've treasured having him in my town ever since and I love interacting with him and he's one of my favorite bulls.
4: Ed. One of my favorite smugs. He just looks like some edgy, "artistic" models and I love it so much. He deserves so much love and I would love to be able to have him in my town/island at some point.
5: Deena. I have her in Wild World, she was a starting villager. She deserves so much love. She's actually my favorite duck and one of the cutest. I can't believe more people don't love her because she's so kind and sweet and very adorable.
6: Cleo. Cleo is actually one of my dreamies. Purple is my favorite color so I love Megan, Cleo, Becky, and Queenie. Plus her design is just adorable. If I had an all/mostly purple themed island, Cleo would be a top choice.
7: Olaf. I didn't like Olaf much when I got him as my campsite villager on my second island, but he's grown on me. Dressing him up in various clothes that actually complement him better than his starting outfit reveals Olaf's true charm. Plus I noticed his had a tinge of blue in his hair. I'm not gonna keep Olaf forever (personal reasons related to his birthday), but he's definitely become one of my favorite smug villagers and anteaters in the games.
8: Carrie. Seeing her here breaks my heart because she was one of my first villagers. New Horizons was my first console game (Pocket Camp my first true game.) I knew very few villagers and Cherry, my starting sisterly in NH, was the only one I knew. I invited Carrie cause I didn't know about inviting your first three villagers and figured I'd take her cause she didn't seem that bad. A bit after she moves in and she ends up making me cry. She asked me one of those questions that reveal your personality and she said I needed to not stress myself out too much helping others (an issue I had due to a friend that had become toxic) and I ended up crying because she, despite being fictional, was the only one who noticed. I see her as a mother figure to me because of that (and her initial phrase being "little one") and she's one of my favorite kangaroos along with Kitt now. Plus she went to so many of the August birthdays on my island so she's like the caring mother of my island, it was so sweet.
9: Kody. This one shocks me, I thought he'd be popular. He was in my Wild World town until he moved away. I thought I had convinced him to stay, but I guess I hadn't (the text can be confusing for me sometimes.) He's one of my favorite jocks tho and even if I'm still bummed about him moving away, I still love him.
10: Queenie. Oh Queenie no. The first time I saw Queenie, I fell in love. Maybe it's just cause she's purple and snooty, but I adore her. I'm surprised she's as low as she is because she's absolutely amazing.
Honorable mentions: Becky (dreamie), Claudia (so pretty, heart stripes), Paula (love her in my second New Leaf town), Pancetti (she's growing on me), Rooney (my friend had him until she let him go and I loved him), Peck (such a cool design), Boris (reminds me of Ganon from Legend of Zelda), Rocket (my friend has her and so she's grown on me), Harry (starting villager in my first New Leaf town, a bit of a bully to Marcel but pretty cool. I can always see him as being a humorous, boisterous dad/uncle working at Home Depot with a deep hearty laugh who'll slap ya on the back as he laughs. I think it's funny and makes me like him), Rhonda (nooo, she deserves better), Gigi (deserves so much better), Gwen (had her starting in my first New Leaf town, I adore her), Friga (had her in Wild World, I adore her), Cally (not this sweet baby), Maggie (this surprises me), Monty (he's so cute), Curt (I coulda sworn he was popular ;-;), Peaches (she's so pretty tho), Ava (I love her tho), Alli (my favorite alligator), Mallary (one of my favorite ducks, snooty and purple), Peggy (starting villager in 1st New Leaf town, acts like my best friend and even has similar hair), Boone (starting in 1st New Leaf town, he's so adorable and my favorite gorilla), Rasher (omg so cool, have him in Wild World, he's such a softie), Big Top (cute), Kitty (love her), Tammi (alternative queen), Hugh (he's so cute), Jay (have him in Wild World, I really thought he was popular ;-;), Frobert (one of my fave frogs along with Tad), Tad, Keaton (my friend had him, loved him), Victoria (I'm in love with her, I swear, my friend had her), and Norma (my friend is in love with her, plus she's cute.)
Sorry this is so long, I just...these villagers deserve so much love. This list doesn't even include all the others that I kinda like. Some of the ones in this tier do genuinely surprise me though because I thought they'd be more popular like Rooney, Claudia, Peck, Boris, Cally, and so many others.
I have Carrie, Ed and Queenie on my island haha. They're all very much appreciated here :)
I had Soleil on my New Leaf town, she was one of my starting villagers, I always thought of her like a working woman in her 40-50s with that "Karen hairstyle" but with a very sassy, caring and cool personality, like a second mother figure 😂 Sadly she moved out of my town, but she'll always be one of my favorites.
my favorite villager is cousteau and i am very sad two discover that he is so low on the villager popularity list he is on TIER 6 he is in the Often Giveaways on 36 and he is Down from #5 😞
and my seconde favorite is also so very low higer than coustaeu but still 😞 TIER 4

Gabis my least favourite villager of all time she may be cute but she’s done some weird and messed up things in my towns and she’s annoying in them too.
I'll never forget in New Leaf, Victoria was the first villager to fix my face after I got stung by them bees . . .

Best tier 6 villagers:
1: Ursula - I have her in my acnh town and she lectured Diana on not being a controlling bitch then got doughnuts like nothing happened.
2: Norma - I have her amiibo and had her in my acnh town for a while, and she's a pink cow that likes baking and wears a dress, what kind of monster puts her in tier 6?
3: Yuka
4: Cleo
5: Kitty- If I ever get another switch it's going to be She-ra (2018 version) themed and she would be Catra.
6: Victoria - I had her in my acnl town and all my villagers had either no personality or shit personalities (I had a lot of normal and smug villagers), her, Pierce, and Amelia were the only ones that weren't bland and didn't flirt.
7: Pierce - He was my 3rd favourite villager before he moved out
8: Bonbon
9: Gwen - I don't like her but I had her in my acnl town for a few weeks and she did nothing to deserve tier 6, she gave me medicine when the shop hadn't started selling it yet.
10: Kodi: I would definitely kick him out but he shouldn't be in tier 6. Diva is a lot worse.
Worst tier 1 villagers:
1: Dom - 2nd worst villager, he just looks really creepy and his personality doesn't match his appearance at all.
2: Ankha - I understand why people like themed characters, but having a cat themed around a literal coffin used to contain people that worship cats is too much.
3: Raymond - He looks like they designed the most boring villager possible then gave him heterochromia to make him popular, and I don't see why they made an office-themed character for a game that's about being away from stress like that.
4: Eric - Idk why but he looks really weird, I think it's the eyes.
5: Beau - I had him in pocket camp and he was really dull compared to the other lazy villagers.
6: Judy - She would be cute if her eyes weren't so fucking creepy.
7: Stitches - There's nothing wrong with him but he shouldn't be in tier 1 over Chrissy.
8: Zucker - he looks like the edible version of his own species which is just morbid.
9: Audie - There's nothing wrong with her, I just hate orange and there aren't that many bad villagers in tier 1.
10: Bob - He's one of my favourite's but he looks basic and again, there aren't that many bad villagers in tier 1.
10 underrated villagers from tier 3-5 because I'm bored:
1: Stella - Cool name + cool apperance
2: Chevre - She's dating Nan and they're the best couple
3: Julia - She's a trans girl
4: Amelia - Idk about acnh but in acnl she was a goth icon
5: Chrissy - It should be illegal to have her anywhere other than top tier
6: Ellie - I thought she would be ranked higher but here we are
7: Megan - Competing with top tier villagers for cuteness and winning
8: Flora - She has plastic flamingos in her house because real flamingos are obnoxiously extroverted so it's cool that Nintendo researched it
9: Fushia - She's neon without burning everyone's eyes
10: Raddle - Wearing a mask and protecting us from COVID
I like Hugh! I like 'em because, hey, he is a blue pig with heterochromia.
I'm so surprised Pierce is on that tier... I totally thought he was amongst the ranks of Julian!
Pierce is widely considered just meh. I like him though.

I love that you put Avery on this list! He is my Forever Cranky! I relate to something he says every day, and am surprised he is among the least popular because he is so adorable.

Good to see Pierce on the list! He was my best friend in my old Wild World town and we were close. Goes to show how much the old dialogue affected our preferences (he is my favourite eagle) compared to today's dialogue. As for my favourite unpopular villagers (taken from Tier 5 and 6)

1. Mira (She fell out of tier 4 in the last poll update :( My favourite rabbit and sisterly and easily one of the best villager imo)
2. Rodeo (Very cool demon bull. He is my favourite bull but he also unfortunately fell out of tier 4)
3. Pierce (Best friend back in the day. Nuff said)
4. Bonbon (She's absolutely adorable and her play hobby makes her even more so)
5. Knox (Very pretty aesthetic, I love it. He is my favourite chicken)
6. Raddle (How couldn't you love the respectful plague frog?)
7. Bella (A lot of people don't like how she looks vampiric which is kind of the point? My favourite mouse and her metal design is awesome)
8. Pippy (A lot of people seem to think she's scary or ugly but how you could hate such an adorable squishy face?)
9. Del (My favourite robot villager. His shaved metal battleship design is something I am really into)
10. Angus (His simple, plain but appealing design is hard to hate. I also got his photo in NH recently)
Bonus: Axel is my birthday twin although I'm not really into him (his grin is a bit creepy tbh) but I like his interiors. Honourable mentions include Caroline, Purrl, Mathilda, Big Top, Puck, Rasher, Bree, Celia, Walker and Hans.
Welp all my villagers I have are all underrated and they are not popular. But I love all 10 of my birds.
Great video! I’d love to see that list of popular animals you don’t like. I was surprised to see a fair amount of animals I like on the bottom tier lol.
My personal favorites from said tier are: Rowan, Curly, Benedict (who is currently on my island), Elmer and Leonardo with honorable mentions to Jay and Yuka.
A lot of the Tier 6 are the homies from my original Animal Crossing Gamecube game such as Prince, Kitty, and Baabara. . .
I see a lot of my New Leaf homies as well like Peaches and Victoria.
It's all opinion anyways. I had Ankha in New Leaf, and I had no clue she'd be such a popular character, and Mac is one of my favorites despite apparently not being so popular.

Nice to see someone with culture. Keaton at #2, he’s probably one of the original 10 villagers that stayed on my island. If I could have more than 10 villagers(like 15 from the GameCube’s limit). I’d be less picky with the characters on my island.
Cole is my favorite underrated AC villager, and my best friend in Pocket Camp.
I was so surprised Pierce was here. I didn't know he was an unpopular villager. He's always been in my town in animal crossing new leaf. He's probably my favorite villager.

I absolutely love bunnie and kitty, they were my favs, they lived in my dads town, because back then i didnt have my own console, so i played on my dads account after he pretty much done everything in the game (whole museum, lots of firniture sets, all villagers and even npc pictures, perfect town etc.) but i still really enjoyed the game, since i was 6/7 back then. Now, 7 years later i play new horizonts, and i have bunny on my island, and i bouht her amiibo so i can have her on every island when i restart! I think shes a really underrated villager... But i have a lots of good memories with her, i still have the picture of her and ressetti and some homes, that i drew 7 years ago :)
Naaahhhhhw Hans... on my first island he was my first smug and I hated his guts in the beginning, but grew to love him so much :'D
My favorite is Coach..he’s not the prettiest villager but I always felt like he was friend encouraging me to do better.
My faves are Ricky, Weber, Bon Bon, Peaches, and Norma.

i have yuka on my island, and i don't like her AT ALL. idk why, she just doesn't do it for me :/
I like so many tier 6 villagers, Chow included, he too is in my New Leaf town, he's our resident creep. I also like Tex, Gwen, Rhonda, Spike, Friga, Huck, Kitty, Puck, Wart, Jr. Hans, Frobert, Doc, Benjamin, Hugh, Pippy, Del, Tad, love Monty, Boris, Velma, Ricky, & Alli. I think Spike is severely underrated, he has an amazing design. I love the cute villagers sure but they don't all need to be cute, I like the tough, cool looks too & Spike pulls off that gold well. Monty is probably my favorite in the list, I had him early on in New Horizons like he was apart of my original 10 villager roster & he was such a delight to have around. His house would cause my friend's game to crash & I enjoyed spending time with her so I used an amiibo card to get a different cranky villager on my island so she could take advantage of the recipes as well but I never like any other cranky as much as I like Monty, not even Chow. His creep factor brings him down a notch, he once was standing behind a tree while I had a conversation with a villager, it looked like he was peaking over, watching.

10. Ricky. I saw a video once where I guy was trying to see if he could get kicked off his animal crossing island, and one of his methods for doing so was to abuse his villagers, one of them being Ricky. And I felt really bad for Ricky, I remember shouting at the screen saying "STOP IT!!! STOP HITTING HIM!!!" I feel bad because a lot of people don't like him and think he's creepy. I personally like his creepiness. So ya guys, please give Ricky some love.
9. Leonardo. My sister once came across Leonardo on and island tour, and although she didn't take him, she liked him. And I agree. I like that Leonardo's design is fitting with his personality (which is jock). I also like that he looks like a cheetah. Another thing I like about Leonardo is his name. Leonardo. It makes me think of Leonardo Da Vinci, Leonardo from the ninja turtles and Leonardo DiCaprio. So ya, I think Leonardo deserves a little more attention.
8. Elise. The reason Elise is only #8 is because I guess I could understand if you don't like her (mainly because of the lips and the mole), but honestly, I think it looks kinda cute on her. I also had her as a contact in pocket camp, and she was quite cute and quite nice. That's all I have to say about Elise.
7. Mallary. Now it's not just mallary, there's also a few other ducks I think are underrated (derwin, drake, maelle), but for this list, I went with mallary. I just really like mallary, she seems like the kind of girl that gives out to the guys all the time, and that is honestly kind of cool. Ya, mallary just seems like a cool girl.
6. Buzz. Buzz and mallary seem like a couple, being that they give out to people all the time. Buzz looks like he hasn't slept in weeks (similar to jitters), and I just kinda like him for that. Pretty much everything I need to say.
5. Robin. I actually used to think robin was a boy, but, you know, I think she's better a girl. She just gives me tomboy vibes. I also like that her name comes from the small Midwestern bird. She may not look like a robin, but she'd be a good sidekick for batman.
4. Penelope. Now the mouse species in animal crossing is terrible, but out of all the terrible mice, why is Penelope here? She's so cute, with her little bow ties for ears. She is a cute little mouse and definitely one of the few good mice.
3. Winnie. I like the horse species, and I like Winnie. I think she's quite cute with the little star on her head. Is that, like, supposed to represent a cowboy or cowgirl or something, I don't know? But ya, Winnie is cute.
2. Claudia. Ya, looks like Leonardo isn't the only tiger on this list. My sister had Claudia on her island for a while, and she was very cute. And then one day she had thoughts about leaving and my sister ultimately decided to let her go and it was so sad, we both miss her. And she's also very cute too with her colors and her little dress which makes her look like a waitress, and oh, her little bowtie oohh!!! Guys, give Claudia more respect, please.
1. Jay. I had Jay in pocket camp, and he was a cool guy. He wasn't really living on my island for too long, because eventually, I decided to kick him out in order to make room for someone now I can't exactly remember who that person was, but, I still talked to Jay, and I just found him a really cool guy. If he was on my new horizons island I'm sure he and my boy scoot would get along very well. So ya guys, give Jay more respect please.

My boy Rowan has been with me since the gamecube. I remember as a kid, I wrote him a love letter confessing my feelings to him and he broke my heart and embarrassed me by showing my letter to my brothers who were also playing the game and they had their friends over and were watching. I was mortified but I still love my boy. 😂😭 He's my first camper in NH. This is his redemption arch 😂
My fav villager that’s unpopular is PomPom. My other fav is popular (Judy)
PomPom stole my heart the second I saw her in new leaf and now I have bought her amiibo (8$!), and I’ll have her forever.

I think the mice in general are underrated. I don't get why they aren't well liked. I understand with some like Moose and Limburg, but I have Rod, Penelope, Broccolo, Bettina and Bree on my island and I think they're adorable. The one villager I have to defend the most is my best buddy, Rodney the Hamster. Yeah, he does look a bit flawed but personally I think his geeky design makes him relatable, plus he has a game room, which makes me (and my other villagers) want to hang out with him. Also with him being my smug, he's the funniest villager on my island. He really doesn't deserve all the hate he gets.

Tex: I don't know. Maybe because he is based on a more obscure species of penguin? Maybe his catchphrase? Nonetheless, he's a cool dude.
Ricky: His color scheme and personality! He's more aesthetically pleasing than plain Marshal!

I can't believe that you don't like the bird villagers.... All the birds, in my opinion, are absolutely perfect and could not be improved. There is not a single bird I can name who is 'bad'.
I don't know why, I just feel so attached to all of them. Every single time I find a bird villager on a hunt, I just take them as to give them a good home at my island with someone who loves the birds.
Weird, some of these Villagers are often praised online.
