I just want to say that you're literally an inspiration to me. It's been several months since I've painted anything and watching this video makes me want to paint again.
I've recently picked up the hobby and this game and I just wanted to say, while these aren't tutorials, I appreciate the Bob Ross feel I get while watching these videos. I really hope you continue this series as I seek inspiration for Oathsworn minis!
Obsessed with these tutorials every since the lord of the rings, the Gimli is my favouritemodel ive ever painte, thank to this. So excited finally another game I own is being shown. Can't wait to get to it. Thank you
I did a double take when switching between the artwork at :18 and the finished mini. Incredible work in recreating the color scheme, you brought that 2D artwork into a 3D work of art
I've seen the video now dozens of times. It's really good and as a beginner I can learn a lot. Thanks! You motivated me to finally try out some acrylic painting
I love the narration. So casual and matter of fact. Like you aren’t making a masterpiece… If I could “casually” paint like that, I’d probably show my minis to the public too! ☺️ Great video!
Once again, fantastic work. Oathsworn is a game I’d love to own one day(pricy) and will most definitely use these as a guide. Love your style, color choices and presentation as well clear explanations.
You've always been an incredible painter and a brilliant tutor (with great camerawork and music), but your skill has still grown so much since your earliest videos. I wonder what Gaarkhan and Fenn Signis would look like had you done those tutorials *today* at your current skill level! Cheers as always. My Star Wars Legion army has come together significantly thanks to your guides, but my painting hobby overall is also still thanks to you! It all started with a single stormtrooper, a Sorastro video, and my Christmas bonus check going to paints and brushes about 9 years ago :)
That NMM, tho...inspiring to someone like me who is still wrestling with it and is slooooooowly getting his head around the idea of it. Well done as usual, sir!
I have been “hobby” painting for 30 years on and off and you are the first person to show and explain textured highlights to me in a way I understand. Thank you.❤ Explaining and showing the consistency of your glazes was also really helpful ❤
Amazing work as per usual, and it was great to see you at UK Games Expo, even if it was for only a minute. Hopefully Jamie has convinced you to cast your brush over Avalon 😉
Another masterclass painting video. I really really like your videos. Always super nice to watch. Great music and a very nice voice to listen to. Thank you! ✌🏼 Edit: Every video feels like I'm going on an adventure. 😊 Your songs are amazing!
You did a fantastic job on this one Mark, always lovely to see some more Oathsworn. I'm actual painting my priest at the moment, for a future tutorial, I see no need for it now 😃 Which one are you painting next? Maybe we could coordinate 🤣 Have a nice weekend!
Ha ha, thank you, buddy! I'm actually going to take a break from the heroes for a while to focus on the monsters so I can actually start my first campaign.. 😀
@@Sorastro Oh boy, you are in for at treat if you haven't tried it yet 😃 We play tomorrow actually, playing encounter 8 and story 9, and then maybe encounter 9 😄
@@Sorastro chronicles of drunagor, it's a dungeon crawler. It was available only in 2024 for us (France] but i think it's like 2-3 years old for english people :) Btw do you plan to paint other minis from swl? ^^
Thank you so much! I compose all my my own music. You can find the music from this series on my latest Album "Archangel" on all of the digital platforms: open.spotify.com/album/13ciEMuwGMyqIe8troTVDs?si=tlBy7M9SQbOsvseTP7SMjQ 😀
Hi! Yes, I'm working through the monsters as I play. The next guide (which is a PDF/video combo) is currently on Patreon early access, after which I'll also publish it at sorastro.com 😀

What I lovely comment! Thank you - it makes my day to hear that 😀
I love the way you handle the eyes. Easily the best way to tackle that difficult area I've seen.
Thank you! It's quite a forgiving approach, I think.. 😀

Superb as always. A wonderful, clear video on colour choice and application. Your recreation of the box art in 3D was simply stunning. Thank you )O(

Of course great paintjob but your musical scores are excellent.

You should paint minis from Drunagor game ^^

Awesome work as always dude. Do you varnish your minis to protect them afterwards?
Thanks so much! Yes, I usually use the AK Interactive Ultra Matte Varnish 😀

No problem! 😀
Will you do the other minis also?

Will you be doing any of the monsters?
Hi! I'm producing a video for the first monster (the giant rat), but will probably cover the rest with PDF guides.. 🙂
