Hi Janey and Jason, So glad your doing better. This is a stunning combination of containers. The red really pops, thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful rest of the day. Get plenty of rest. Drink lots of water and Mr. Monty. You're a joy such a good boy. 😊👋
Stay healthy, I started with bronchitis in December my Dr. put me on an inhaler along with a steroid, so much relief. the worst part is when resting in the evening or trying to sleep a nonstop cough continued, thankfully there’s a pill to stop the coughing. Be very careful this flu/virus is the worst. Stay Hydrated and drink warm teas, soups help as you probably can’t taste anything. I cleaned out the refrigerator made soup with all the vegetables, and potatoes in a large pot, a cup of soup mid mornings, and afternoons, gave me strength, Trader Joe’s has a great variety of healthy chicken bowls ready in three minutes. I always found joy in watching your YT content to get me through, when it’s hard to rest.
Love the simplicity of those containers! Probably my favorite way to do a container - a centerpiece plant, underplanted with a low single species. Such as a boxwood topiary underplanted with creeping thyme, an oak leaf hydrangea with black mondo grass, a grape topiary with clipped germander and a camelia with wire vine.
Janey, the Primrose looks so cheery! I can’t wait until this polar vortex leaves our area! 🥶 ❄️Poor Monty, I think you are correct as in the other video when you said that Monty probably thinks you are talking to him. How is he supposed to understand you were talking to a camera! 😂🌸🇨🇦
I love the simplicity..All three components are lovely, the terra cotta, the beautiful shrub and the gorgeous pink primrose. I realize changing design can be rewarding, but I like this best.
Years ago my son gave me a primrose for Mother’s Day, it was so sweet! I planted it beside our koi pond and as it got bigger I divided it and I had so many I planted a big drift of them, it was lovely 🥰
Well it’s nice to see your garden. Pots look great. We are central Illinois and it is-6 with a wind chill of -24. . Only indoor plants here. Glad you are feeling better.
Pennsylvania is under so much snow here in the Appalachian Mountians. Temp is -10 and we lost power. While we love and enjoy it most days, deep breath spring is coming. Great inspo! Thank you Janie and Jason 🤍
So interesting! Janey, can you please provide all of us a list of your favorite gardening shows? Sounds like you’ve come across a few real gems! Thank you!
Have seen those at garden centers but have really never planted them. Because I thought they were mostly cool weather and by mid-april, sometimes even earlier. We get so hot in middle Tennessee. The colors are always stunning on those plants
I hope that getting out in the sunshine with your hands in the dirt will boost your healing. The prim rose really pop next the green, looking so pretty.
Very pretty Janey ( oh the pots too😂). They look so springy and fresh! It was interesting to me that the zone included Zone3, I’ve tried and mine have never come back after our brutal winters. Maybe the newer ones are more hardy. Zone3 Manitoba 🇨🇦👏🥶
Janey, here in the southern Phoenix metro, we haven’t had any rain since September! I’ve been outside watering my succulents a couple times a week. “All cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti!”
Hi, Janey. Did you see that Proven Winners will have four nice primulas in their lineup for next year? They're listed hardy from zones 3-8. I doubt they'd stretch to work for you but I can't wait to scoop them up.
I planted primrose is a morning sun spot last year. I was going to pull them but just kept a little water on them throughout the year and most came back after our long hot and drought ridden environment in zone 9B in Riverside California. I love them
Thank you for enlightening me on primulas! I have several varieties and keep my bedding prims all year long in the shade of my rhododendrons. I garden on the Oregon Coast in a zone 9a. Maybe this year I will pot up my primulas into some pretty pots for a “collection” feel. Thanks for the inspiration and the info! Your project turned out really sweet!
Love the primrose in those pots (gorgeous planters, too!)- the pop of pink is so pretty and i like how you can see the detail on the pots, too. I'm so glad you're feeling better! I had covid over new years, and it took about 3 weeks for the cough to finally go away, ugh! Sunshine will definitely help. :) And much better than the -21 degrees, we woke up to in MN this morning, haha. Can't wait for spring 🌸
Primm roses at so much color and happiness to our winter gardens. The pot looks beautiful and I’m sure it was wonderful. Just getting your hands back in the soil. 💙💚💛🧡💜 Liz from California
Monty is such a wonderful spokes Doggo for your channel. He brightens my day and brings real life into your videos even more than you bring in thank you so much and thank you for keeping your videos real for the every day Gardener and thank you for encouraging us and boosting us up.
You would not believe our temperature changes in Tennessee. It is really hard to garden here today. We have a half twenty two and a low tonight of three yes, three. In the summer, we have heat drought and humidity out The Ying yang.
I just cut out about 4ft of sod around my jacaranda tree to make a planting bed/ring around it this weekend. I planted a bunch of primroses behind the tree.
Thank you for giving me the low down on the primrose situation. For the last few years I've followed gardener's in the UK on X, and every spring I see their primulas and go on a search looking for them here in our nurseries and never had luck. It's so sad! I love the adorable primroses available in the US but the primula polyanthus just hits me in the heart.
Hi Janey 🌺. How beautiful primrose plants .You arranged them beautifully in the containers and they look amazing . I have the white with yellow color and it smells amazing like citrus blossoms . My lilac vine full of booms what about yours?. Janey you must drink milk because the dust of the mulch and the goat milk helps a lot for cough, you can ask your neighbor for goat milk . Have a great day .🌺🌻🌺🌻
Primrose are so bright and cheerful. I like.to plant both primrose and fairy primrose. For some reason Imam allergic to other primulas.and get a rash on my arms. My kids pediatrician helped figure that out.
Hi Janey! I love the flowering maple I have three on my property! The flowers are so beautiful and so many pollinators visit including humming birds! Do you prune them and how? I’d love to see how you take care of your flowering maple !
I have an area of white primrose that is 3×3 in my moon garden that is only 2 plants that I separate every spring. It is 0 out this morning here in PA. 8 inches of snow Sunday. Love watching you and Jason working together in your garden.
Pleased that you will get months of blooms from those. I’m going to jealously pay more attention to mine this spring, but I’m sure they only bloom for about a month in northern Michigan.
Good to see you but pls don’t overdo. Janey - pls pls start wearing a hat again. The sun is not kind to your skin and you have such a beautiful complexion you want to keep. I send this reminder w love. 💕 💕💕

What zone are you in? Just curious where they perennialize
The three pots looked like gnomes to me when they were first planted! Tall green hat and toasty beard.
