Question: Could you put a little bridge going over the dry creek bed instead of stepping stones? That would be so romantic 😍

Wood gazebo draw your eye down to wood bridge.
Stepping stones would just color meld into dry creek bridge and not show up. Or get some really dark dark stepping stones for contrast.

Looks good! Have you thought about putting in a small bridge over the creek instead of stepping stones? You can make one very easily and inexpensively with a couple of pallets. It would soften the look of the garden.

I don’t know how you fall asleep because you must be so excited for what each new day brings to beautify your property! The dry creek bed is just the coolest and when the gazebo will be added, well that will just be the most enchanting garden ever!
Had to tell you Janey that I received a survey from Proven Winners and one of the questions was who do I follow for perennial information and inspiration and they had your name and channel on their list. So proud of you!!!! ❤️🇨🇦

    Janey -
You can make a PALLET BRIDGE (not so expensive) to go over your dry creek bed. That’ll be a great project for you & Jason 🪴
Also, reuse ♻️ the soil around the chicken coop area where you want to plant more stuff…

Love the progress! I know you mentioned you’re going to be fiddling with placement more…I think a few larger rocks need to be not just along the sides, but interspersed more centrally in the “stream” as well. It reads more naturally creek like, but maybe that’s just my weird view lol. The plantings alongside are going to frame it beautifully and add so much. It’s looking so much better with the added hard scapes, texture and heights in this central first impression area 😊👍🏼 Can’t wait to see the gazebo you’ve chosen.

I agree, a wooden bridge would tie in with the gazebo & keep a more romantic feel into the whole area better. You’ve got plenty of rocks at this point. Since you won’t really have water ( unless it rains), the need for stepping stones is minimal. Love the creek bed & can’t wait to see the gazebo.❤

If you guys ever take trips to the beach, collecting some choice pieces of driftwood would look pretty spectacular in the dry creek bed. Of course, the pieces would have to be heavy enough for Monty not to be able to pick up. Then, maybe, you could do those tiny planting into the driftwood, like small grasses that are seen on coastlines.

I agree on some sort of small bridge instead of stepping stones (although I’m sure that would look so nice as well). Oh my gosh Janey, I can now see your vision clearly! Your center island is going to be the ah ha moment of your garden surrounded by all of the other amazing beauty. Just a thought on the extra rocks on long boarder, what if you took the rocks right to the fence. Plant a group of grasses just in front of the fence, your large boulders just in front of the grasses so the back the large boulder and then the river rocks disappear into the grasses and boulder. It may then appear that the creek bed extends beyond your fence and may add some depth and direction change to the long narrow bed. Can’t wait for the next video. 🇨🇦😀
