Thank you so much for your comment! Secretariat truly is a legend in the world of horse racing, with records that have stood the test of time. We appreciate your enthusiasm for such an iconic champion! 🏇👏
What I can't get my head round is how horse fans who know what their talking about say Frankel is the GOAT ?🤔 Honestly I'm one of Frankel's big fans & never got the pleasure to see who I rate the GOAT( Secretariat ) run in the flesh. Big Red owns records & 1 joint record & I think a match race over 1m 2f Big Red would win easy & maybe closer over the mile & what about Frankel against Man O' War ? How would that play out ? And of course Sea Bird ? We have to remember Henry Cecil ( Extremely intelligent) didn't take Frankel out of England & he mostly always raced against the same horses but beat them by bigger margins which gave him such a high rating I.e Queen Anne performance. But the argument will NEVER stop of course, different era's.
Owe Grant Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Seattle Slew was indeed an exceptional talent both on the track and as a sire, leaving a lasting legacy. AP Indy, Swale, and Slew O'Gold are just a few examples of his impressive offspring. It's always great to hear from fellow racing enthusiasts.
It’s funny they never mention the fact that American barrel justified are both to secretariat in fact, they are great great great grandsons of secretariat plus. The lineage of Seattle slew to APD was never mentioned either. They totally wiped all of that out.!
Maurita Briggs Thanks for pointing that out! The lineage of greats like Secretariat and Seattle Slew is incredibly important in the history of these horses, and it’s something that should definitely be highlighted more. I really appreciate your insight and will make sure to dive deeper into these connections in the future. Thanks for your feedback!
Robert Nimbley Thanks for sharing that interesting tidbit! It's always fascinating to learn about the underdogs who make their mark in horse racing history. 🏇👏 Appreciate you adding to the conversation!
Robert Nimbley Seattle Slew was truly a remarkable champion. 🏇👑 We're glad you enjoyed the video highlighting the Triple Crown champions. If you have any other favorites or memories to share, feel free to let us know!
Secretariat would have had a hard time being Seattle Slew, wasn't a big fan because he really never beat anybody.Look it up he was no Slew. From the only person i know who talked about Mystic Dan winning the Derby on this site
Secretariat was the first winner of the triple crown in over 25 years and he set records that still stand to this very day and no horse has ever broken them (Seattle Slew included) or come close to beating his 31 length victory in the Belmont, even the great champions of today haven't either and he had a heart 2-3x times the size of a normal horse's heart. He also always came from behind to win and still broke records despite that and raced during a difficult time for America with the Vietnam War. He may have lost some races but the races he did lose was often because he was sick. He had a terrible jockey in his maiden though who did a bad job with riding him. Seattle Slew was great as well, I won't deny that he is one of the greatest champions but facts are facts and in my opinion, Slew would have a hard time keeping up with Big Red. Also, Secretariat had Sham as a rival who was a great horse in his own right. This is just my opinion here but you are of course entitled to have your own opinions and favorite champions. Just keep on enjoying the sport of kings! ;)

Seattle Slew was best on the track, and the breeding shed. AP Indy, Swale, Slew O'Gold, and the list goes on and on.
