70 years ago, Brown v. Board of Education established that it was unconstitutional to racially segregate students in public schools. Today, its legacy looms large over the landscape of American education, but for many, its promise of equality has remained unrealized. Basic Black host Tanisha Sullivan, Esq., President NAACP Boston, spoke with:
Erika Richmond Walton, a Litigation Fellow at Lawyers for Civil Rights, a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan legal organization that provides volunteer legal representation to victims of discrimination based on race or national origin.
Ronald Mitchell, the editor, co-owner, and publisher of the Bay State Banner and the President and CEO of Mitchell Stark Enterprises.
Phillip Martin, a senior investigative reporter for the GBH News Center for Investigative Reporting and is a multi-award-winning journalist.
Devin Morris, the co-founder and executive director of The Teachers’ Lounge, a non-profit with the mission of diversifying the people, thoughts, and actions of the educational workforce in the Greater Boston Area and beyond.

Interesting conversation. Hearing "black and brown" and "POC" on BASIC BLACK platform is jarring.

In Soviet Union schools were equally finance. Difference was who lived in certain districts. Because in some districts parents were more intelligent, in some less. You cannot fix problem with money. Poor Chinese families living in inner city schools still educate their kids better. Instill discipline in your children. Why your Black & Brown kids are suffering harm in Black & Brown schools? ))) No accountability

Not all white kids live in Newton. So not all white kids go to better schools.
