Yes U.S. settlers did evil things, so did Native American's. Terror tactics were used by Native American's, all sorts of torture, setting fires, killing women, children, and the elderly or kidnapping and enslaving or torturing them, slow and fast murder, dismembering the dead both for horror and to take body parts like the scalp for intimidating adornment, destroying homes and fields of crops, stealing horses (leaving people on foot could be a slow death sentence. So, let's stop the victimization and recognize, we were at war and the Native American's lost. I'm actually surprised they weren't completely wiped out. It was a horrifying time for both sides. One of my Army brothers is Native American Langdeau, "BROTHER" soon as we put on the uniform. I didn't know much about Native American history, I would ask him and learn. Because That's what we're supposed to do. We don't talk much, but when we get a chance it's great. We both have families and live far away from each other. I do miss the guy! Knowing both sides were to blame is the first step. Doesn't matter who started the fight, innocent people died on both sides. That shouldn't stop us today from coming together. If I ever saw a white person discriminate against a Native American in front of my face? I know "we don't need your help white boy 😂" I'd stand by the person being discriminated against. We'd probably get our asses kicked, but it would be worth it.
